The targets use virtual projection screens, so you're not just throwing at the same bullseye all night... you can choose from a ton of different games. We especially loved being able to switch things up and play games like darts, which made the experience so much more fun and interactive. The staff was fantastic from start to finish. The gentleman who got us set up was incredibly helpful, explained everything clearly, and even brought out some smaller throwing axes for us to try when we were playing the darts game. That extra level of attention really made the experience feel personalized and welcoming. The bartender was equally wonderful! Super friendly, attentive, and genuinely seemed happy to be there. Everyone we interacted with made us feel welcome and made the whole experience even more enjoyable. It's clear that the people here care about creating a great experience for their guests. Blast…read more We opted for one of the glow/neon rooms (Disorderly Conduct) and added on a bonus package that included a tv and a nightstand, as well as an extra bin of smaller items. We checked in and then suited up in protective gear: coveralls, gloves, and full head mask. We could also each select two weapons (think hammers, crowbars, golf clubs, tennis rackets, bats, etc). One sledgehammer was already in the room. For 30 minutes, we got to blast music through the blue tooth speaker and just obliterate anything in the room. My husband loved the furniture and the electronics.My favorite was knocking the keys off a keyboard and smashing the glasses with the crowbar. While it's not an every day activity, I would absolutely come back and do it again! Staff was super nice and friendly and it was absolutely worth the drive from St. Aug to Orange Park! They also offer VR escape rooms, axe throwing and a few other little activities.

They help teach you how to throw and even though the concept can seem (and certainly can be) dangerous, they do a lot to make sure you're safe! ONE THING TO KNOW: WEAR CLOSED TOE SHOES!! They were so great explaining to all of us how the best way to throw successfully. After about a 5 minutes both kids were hitting the target and having a great time doing it. They offer games, but we were just having taking turns throwing the ax. They also have a bar available for those that want to have a drink. Prices are reasonable all around and make for an interesting, memorable and fun night out!!!

Some of the activities are first come, first serve and others may require a reservation. I was introduced to Max Action in December and decided to go back this month to check it out with a friend. They have a rechargeable play card that time is added to in order to access the games - this card can also be used at In The Game. We purchased time to try the mini-escape rooms. Some of the puzzles we were able to solve and some we were not able to figure out in time. There were a few issues with some of the rooms, however, once we inquired about it at the desk a tech came to verify and fix the issues with the rooms. The employees were gracious enough to reimburse our lost time with the rooms that needed to be reset. We still had a good time. One thing to know, is that some of the escape rooms require more than one person so going in alone would not work. I would go back to try some of the other activities or to see if I can defeat the escape rooms that we didn't solve. It is a neat place to spend time hanging out with friends.
