I have been a member of Live Free CrossFit for a little over a year and I truly don't have enough good things to say about this place. I could go on for days about how amazing this gym is and how it helped me improve every single aspect of my life, but I'll try to sum it up. Live Free introduced me to the sport of CrossFit and I've lost a total of 25lbs since beginning my journey in September 2014. I have built an abundance of muscle mass and have acquired a handful set of skills including gymnastics and Olympic weightlifting movements I never thought I'd be able to perform. Apart from the numerous physical accomplishments I have acquired as a LiveFree member, the number one reason why I am so in love with this place is because of the amazing people that run it and the overall atmosphere. All the coaches and interns are extremely knowledgeable and eager to help everyone reach their maximum potential. John Kelly, the owner and head coach, is essentially the heart and soul of the gym. John dedicates his life to making sure everyone who enters the facility, leaves as a better version of themselves, every single day. Both the staff and the members at Live Free CrossFit have come together to form a family that consists of people who are trying to improve the quality of their lives and have fun in the process. Everything from the equipment, the programming, and the one-on-one coaching that Live Free provides is intended to help each person reach a level of fitness they could never reach at a regular gym. 3 weeks ago I started Live Free Zone Training, before I started this training I felt intimidated since I was the type of person that dumbbell exercises, push ups and hard work outs were never part of my to do list....but no anymore!! This place is awesome!.. I feel energetic and healthy. When you walk in to this place everyone there make you feel welcome . Jonathan, makes everyone's life easier, I was running late today for my class and there he was got me the heart monitor, signed me up and there I was ready for my class. Thanks Jonathan!!.. Our traininer John is AMAZING! he give you individual attention and push you in a way that you don't realize that you giving 100% of your effort. I have been going to Live Free Crossfit for just over a year now- its Brilliant! The team there is like a welcoming family and It always feels great walking into the simple space and feeling the good vibes and good energy EVERYONE ALWAYS has. Now, when you walk out an hour later- your body will hurt, you will be out of breath and you will say never again. Then you wake up the next morning and see how your body is changing, that you are getting results, that you don't even understand why everything fits better- even the old stuff you haven't worn in a while! So then you find yourself walking back into the Box again to that same great energy, as often as you can, every week. The coaches are encouraging without being overbearing. I love that sessions start on time always- I get in, work my ass off, I get out. This becomes important for my crazy schedule. Its just amazing the space and the vibe these guys have created. This gym is one of the best gyms in Miami. I came in with a lot of misconceptions and trepidation towards CrossFit. But as soon as I walked into the gym, all of those misconceptions fell away. The coaches at the gym are phenomenal; the passion that they have for fitness and health is contagious. They will motivate you to push yourself beyond expectation(but at a steady pace), they will take the time to explain the different movements and correct your form if needed, and the best part is that they are genuinely sincere about helping you accomplish your fitness and health goals. I bought the Groupon deal and it was for the zone training which is all about cardio. At first I felt that it was a rip off because I wanted the crossfit training not just running on a treadmill and doing sit ups, push up, and burpee. I told the coaches that I wanted the crossfit training and they explained to me that I needed to learn the fundamental. I switched to the crossfit training and fell in LOVE with it. I have been doing crossfit for about a month and have loss 4 lbs and my flexibility has improved alot. I used to be stiff as a rock due to traditional workouts which allow me to put on mass. If you're looking for a place where everyone knows your name and push you to a speed that is just for you then this is the place to be. Live Free and Die Fit. He's actually one of the best I've ever seen and I've been in the Fitness Center, Street since I was 14 I started working at the front desk agent for Crystal Beach Fitness at age of 16 I started teaching basic bodybuilding at 18 I got my national Academy a sports medicine certification and I've been around and I've worked for many gyms and I've seen a lot Coach John Kelly is truly dedicated to his clients his craft and he's passionate about getting people the results he wants this is a family over here a community, and I highly recommend for people to come and check it out One thing about this gym is that they make you feel comfortable they make you feel like family. read more

Awesome staff and facility. Everyone is friendly and super positive - always willing to help you out if you're unsure on how to do something. I've had several classes with Ben and he's an awesome coach. He motivates and pushes you to do better, but at the same time he doesn't force you to jump right into doing "advanced" movements that you're not ready for. That's one of the best things about this gym, is that you're allowed to go at your own pace and the coaches do all they can in their power to make sure your technique is correct so you don't hurt yourself. I have recommended it to several of my friends, because it's one of the few places where you actually work up a sweat and see a difference if you keep it up. read more

This is *the best* Box in Miami. Hands down. The coaches are knowledgeable, helpful, encouraging, motivating, and friendly. I've found my second home! I moved from Dominican Republic a couple of months ago, and I was really afraid of joining a new box. Back home, my box felt more like a family gathering while working out at the same time rather than going to a place to work out by myself. I was afraid I couldn't find that here in Miami. I've never had a group of strangers support me and push me to a level that I never thought I could reach. -- I signed up for a 1 month trial a year ago and thought I'd give it a shot and then head back to LA Fitness. After my 1 month trial was up I couldn't imagine going back to the boring gym. I was very hesitant about starting over at a new box, with new people and new coaches (you get used to people). However, everyone at LFCF was VERY welcoming and motivating. The coaches are all awesome, they give everyone individual attention and always take the time to assist you when you need it- whether it be to push yourself, work on your form or to just finish without dying first. The WOD's are challenging and definitely push you, so you always leave feeling accomplished which is always good. I've been going to Live Free Crossfit for almost 2 years and I love it. John, Peter, Ben, and the other trainers are great teachers and really care about the members. What I like about this gym is that there are a lot of new people there as well as very experienced people. Basically, anyone can go and feel comfortable there. It has really pushed me farther than I thought I could go fitness-wise and I am glad I stuck with it this long. This gym is a bit a of of no-frills gym because it is focused on working out. I moved to Miami about a month ago and started looking for a box immediatly.I dropped in to a couple different boxes but they didn't feel right. I'm so glad i chose Live Free Crossfit ,the coaches know what they are doing and you get enough attention because the classes are small and there are more than 1 coach for each class.The wods are super challenging and we do a lot of skill and tecnique work here. The coaches make sure you warm up properly and they care about your tecnique and safety. i defiently recommend Live Free Crossfit to anyone who is either a beginner or an advance crossfit athlete. read more

My favorite box. I love the people and the coaches. They make you feel part of the family. There is healthy competition between the members but everyone is encouraging and that helps me stay motivated. I recently relocated to a new home that is further from the box and there are boxes closer to my new house however I chose to go out of my way because I enjoy working out there.I used to have a partner and go to a globo gym but now it seems like I have 10 partners or more every time I go there. read more

By far the best experience I have had working out! After years of being out of active life, the coaches here took their time to make sure I did everything correctly and gave me great tips to do workouts that wouldn't hurt me from prior injuries I had at a younger age. Great atmosphere and better coaches. So often you can get lost in the shuffle of group classes. The staff at Live Free have excelled at making those group classes feel almost like personal training. The coaches seek you out and coax you into setting personal goals and will motivate you to get there. For those of you who are thinking about getting into CrossFit don't think about it anymore. I am happy to report that my blood pressure dropped from an almost constant 155/95 to 120 / 78.
