Fort Caswell, also known as camp Caswell was my home for this week. It had its ups and downs, as I…read morewill express in this extensive review. Part 1, lodging: The barracks were very true to their name, making me feel almost as if I was in the marines; short of the drill sergeant. The bathrooms were mostly clean and spacious, although dated. The beds were slightly comfortable, but far far from the comfort of my own, or even that of a hotel bed. The rooms were incredibly humid, and my dslr camera lenses would fog up constantly if kept in the room. There are houses available, which I would love to stay in if I attend again. Part 2, staff: Not really anything negative here, the staff here at Caswell were all very friendly, helpful, and always had a smile on their faces. Overall amazing people. Part 3, food: The food at this camp can be described as mediocre, and that's at best. Typically the meats were flavorless; and the chicken gummy. The batter was nothing less than an oddity, as well as most of the food. However it is a ministry camp after all, and choices have to be made to give college students jobs, and reduce cost so more people can go, and that's understandable. Part 4, overall experience: Not too bad, minus an accidental toe injury, (I won't get into that.) the music was good, and the speaking almost exemplary. My suggestion would be to raise the price of the camp, and perhaps make it a bit more comfortable; as well as possibly bringing in a chef for the meals. See ya next time Caswell! -Zach
