Do not get anything altered here. They said approximately 5 days to complete. It's been over 10 days. I was told twice over the phone that it was ready, it was not ready and I can't locate the dresses. I'm beyond livid. Avoid at all cost. read more

Ok, not to get too excited, as it is just a dry cleaning place, but to be honest, think about how much money you really have invested in the clothes you are dropping off? I have tried those places that may be cheaper or maybe have the coupon on the back of my Kroger receipt and you know what, they bash my buttons, over starch my clothes, lose my clothes, don't know or care who I am, and then can't communicate properly to tell me any of this. Is Live Oak the greatest thing since sliced bread . . .not exactly, but you know what, I don't ever have problems. It still has that small town feel and the small town way of doing business. I literally walk in, give them my bag and they tell me they will see me tomorrow after 5pm. They don't ask my name anymore or any other questions. Then, when I come back, they have my clothes readys and they say goodbye. We don't necessarily talk about the weather together, but who cares. They bill my credit card later and I have no problems. They even still deliver to some areas and never charged me for that either. Here is the thing, they have never pressed a piece of gum or candy in any of my shirts and they remove paper and things like that from my pockets that I forget. I really don't think there prices are that out of this world, but I assume they are higher than the dumpy place down the way with the coupon, where you get what you pay for. I am so pissed off right now. I picked up shirts and jeans form LIVE OAK CLEANERS in Conroe today. $40.00 for 3 jeans and 8 shirts. To begin with they didn't do the French Cuffs right. French cuffs are for cuff links, they need to be folded over with the button holes lined up. The big problem was that the cuffs were still dirty. Did they not even wash them. For 4 years I had my shirts done at Town and Country Cleaners in Huntsville, they were excellent, even put little plastic cuff links in the cuffs. Now that Kitty has retired that cleaner is not economical to go to. We did find one in Tomball that did then correctly BUT I have been transferred to Conroe. I have tried 5 different places in Conroe and they apparently haven't seen shirts that are for cuff links. read more

I had my daughter's jean's hemed twice by this business. The 1st time the price was very reasonable and I was very satisfied with my service and staff were friendly. The 2nd time I was charged almost triple as the 1st time and was told that the 1st time they used the wrong pricing for my jeans and the staff were very unfriendly and uncaring that I was dissatisfied with the price. I'm sorry but $14 per jean alteration to hem up just an inch and a one and 1/2 inch is outrageous. And the staff that was there need to work on their customer service skills. Rough start for my first visit. They gave me wrong pants back when I had a Gala to attend. Owner was very polite. Not only apologized in person but paid for the pants I had to buy last minute which I couldnt return. I'll he back to give them another shot. read more

Ugh had a black tie event on Saturday. (last minute type of thing) Brought my dress clothes in to get cleaned. Picked them up Saturday afternoon before they closed. Got ready that evening and found they gave me someone else's pants. Not even same size or color as my shirt. So barely had time to buy replacement pants and make it to my Gala. Called a few days later and they found my pants thankfully but now I have a cheap pair of $20 pants I never wanted in the first place. First time using these guys really sad because they are so close to where I just moved up here in Conroe. Anyone have a better place? I spelled my name for them 2-3 times they still spelled my name wrong so it was hard to find my lost pants ........... read more

We just moved to this area and have had a very good experience with this cleaners. They go the extra mile to make sure the clothes are clean and make an extra effort to get things out (even things we didn't notice!). The only reason I gave 4 instead of 5 stars is that we were spoiled by our last cleaners having same day service...but I would rather have them do a good job so I am satisfied with the next day service. :) read more

Be VERY VERY careful what you have cleaned here. Get a quote up front for the items you plan to have cleaned. They are EXTREMELY EXPENSIVE!!! River Oaks prices in a Country location. Confronted the owner about the prices and did not even receive and apology. read more

Took my daughter's wedding dress in to have it steamed for photos..... They only steamed one layer and there are 5 layers. Broke a snap off. Tore the netting. Charged $20 more then quoted. Owner not willing to work with us. DOES NOT CARE! WE will NEVER USE OR RECOMMEND! read more

I dropped off a white, button down shirt with a spearpoint collar. I specifically told them that I wanted a heavy starch and that the spearpoint collar needed to be pressed and flat. When I picked up the shirt, the collar points were wrinkled. They pressed the tips, but they still weren't to my satisfaction. I won't be back. read more
