Low county feel before you get to the beach. We arrived on a Saturday around 10am, and were able to find parking near beach access. This is a lovely beach. A lot more biodiversity than most other beaches along the coast. It also felt more spacious, less touristy than others we frequent during high season.

If you want to go to the lighthouse (extra fee of $5 a person) I would suggest that you go before the beach. They have a strict limit of how many people can be in the lighthouse at a time and the wait list can get long. We waited over an hour then had 15 to be out before they closed.
