I went into Live Scan Sacramento on 5/26/22 to complete live scan services. The location is convenient for me and my wait time was not too bad, maybe 20 minutes without an appointment. The person providing the scanning was friendly and greets you and let's you know how long you may have to wait. The reason for my 1 star review is due to what happened afterwards. The agency that needed my live scan results (the CTC who issues teaching credentials for the state) is inundated with applications over the summer so they take an average of 50 days to even begin processing your app. I received an email on 7/8/22 from the CTC that they received my application, but my live scan/finger print results were insufficient due to an error by the live scan operator. They said my personal information was not input correctly into the system and therefore I needed to have them re-done and need to re-submit them entirely. I went back into Live Scan Sacramento that day to show them that my first ones were not accepted (with receipts and with the original forms), the live scan operator contacted her manager (Janet) and explained the situation. I was then told since I didn't receive an official letter from the Department Of Justice about the error that they would not waive the fee for a new live scan. I obviously needed these done ASAP because I need my credential before the new school year starts so I reluctantly agreed to paying again. Afterwards I reached out to Janet regarding the matter and explained that this seemed unfair that their initial services were deemed insufficient and that I should not have been charged again. She consistently denied any wrongdoing on their end and said she would call the company they submit the live scan info to and follow up on what she finds. It has been a week now and she hasn't followed up. I also reached out to the CTC and asked if they received a letter or if I should have received one from the DOJ and explained the situation with the live scan provider. I was told this type of error would not have triggered an error with the DOJ, that the issue wasn't on the end of the DOJ/FBI results but with the information entered and sent to CTC and that the live scan company is denying any wrongdoing to avoid eating the fees for their error. I'll include emails for support. I can't even describe the frustration and stress this has caused on my end and the manager can't even call me back. I've worked in education for a long time and have had live scans done many times before for licensing purposes, and this has never happened to me. DO NOT go here as they will not guarantee they will do their jobs sufficiently on their end. I've now paid over $150 in fees for their error. Earlier this year I used A1 Wireless Live Scan on Auburn Blvd. and had no issues with the licensing board. Go there! read more

Buyer beware! If you need your live scan done promptly, or correctly or at all, skip this location! Went in to use this live scan service out of convenience (close to my home) however that was a mistake! Paid $80 and waited months, for any information to come in the mail. After 60 days I began calling, only to jump through hoop after hoop to no avail. The live scan was completed, however the fingerprint scan was denied by the FBI due to operator error. Since I did not have the official FBI letter in hand (same deal with the live scan results which were never received), management refused to give me any compensation other than to pay full price to redo the service. My girlfriend has also used this location and she also NEVER received any results in the mail and had to seek them out on her own accord. Don't take the risk going to this place! It's highly likely you will be end up paying double due to their errors, and possibly never receive the live scan results you came for in the first place! 3 months wasted trying to iron this out, and now I will be doing my scan again elsewhere. read more

Hey yes the live scan was easy for my provider and wish that they would more accurate as to when reports come back n for the price I feel should be part of the service as well so that people like my self know when for sure as for there provider will have a date as to being able to start getting paid and so the recipient don't be at risk for having to change providers cause of the long time frame with the DOJ and puts a hardship for them working with out being on payroll read more

I arrived at Live Scan at 4:27 (per my phone). They close at 4:30. The door was locked and the place was dark. I knocked on the door and an employee answered the door. I was told that they shut down everything so that they can be out the door at 4:30. Really! Its not like 4:30 is at the end of the day. Came here with my boyfriend to apply for TSA pre-check. All the appointment times were booked up so we decided to do a drop-in. It's a little hard to find because it's just a small door in this big building. I was prepared for a 1-2 hour wait time before we could be helped. I mean, that's pretty much how the DMV and things like that work right? Wrong! We were promptly greeted at the door by an employee within seconds of arriving and waited less than 10 minutes until we were taken into a room and processed. The whole entire process took less than an hour for the both of us. Amazing! Friendly and helpful staff. Would definitely come here again in to renew TSA pre-check is still going on. (Btw, TSA pre-check is only for domestic flights and it's good for 5 years only.) read more
