Many years ago, I had a minor neck injury in a fender bender car accident. I did PT, shock and massage therapy for about a year, until my PIP insurance ran out. Since then, I get regular massages from Massage Envy whenever the injury flairs up. This year, I had an extremely bad flair. I could barely move. I went to Urgent care and got muscle relaxers, and two days of bed rest. It still was sore and I kept pinching a nerve in my shoulder/neck. I finally decided it was time to see a chiropractor. In the past, I never really understood or believed in the practice. Dr. Wood did xrays, and showed me my problem areas. He helped me figure out a plan for correcting it. We did adjustments a few times a week for just a few weeks and it made a HUGE difference, I couldn't believe it! Not only that, but he worked with my son. My son is 5, and is Autistic. He also has major digestive issues and unknown allergies that occasionally flair up. My son is on state insurance, and it doesn't cover Chiropractic care. Dr. Wood worked us a great deal to get my son adjusted as well. My son is very wary of Doctors, and Dr. Wood was great with him. He actually got excited when I told him we were going to see him. Overall, I had a great experience. I will visit him again when if and when my neck injury flairs up. I have also recommended him to a number of friends in the area. read more

I love that I can come as a "walk in"......might have a slight wait due to scheduled appointments, however the wait is always minimal and the service is outstanding. I think Dr. Wood is fabulous! He has always been very courteous and has always been very concerned for my overall well-being. Jerri Lynn at athe front desk is super nice, even when I forgot an appointement. Personally, I wouldn't want Dr. Wood, or any other Dr., to perform treatment on me without an exam first, even if I had been a patient before. Dr. Wood is only concerned about the care of his patients. Why wouldn't he want to get paid for a service he performed? Do you work for free? He's definitely worth a visit. read more

I have a medical condition that doesn't allow me to take pain medicine, although I am in a lot of pain, and I rely on chiropractic to keep my body in balance and in lower pain levels. Dr John Wood, at Live Well Chiropractic, is a good guy and a good chiropractor! I originally went to him because of sciatic pain. I had done the exercises, but I needed help and he provided it. It seemed like it would never get better, but under his care and help, it did. He helped me tremendously. The pain left and I felt fine. Later, I broke my leg and was off-kilter for several months as it healed and I hobbled around on a knee scooter. When I was able to finally walk again, my spine had been out of balance for awhile. Again, he has helped me, and again I am functioning well. Dr Wood goes to great length to accommodate his patients needs and makes himself available even on Saturdays for people who can't come other times. Dr. Wood is a good chiropractor and a good man, too. I was miserable with sciatic pain and he took care of it. Many of my friends go to him and have found much help. He has also installed therapy exercise machines in his office to facilitate strengthening and recovery. Dr. Wood cares about his patients and is an honorable person.
