Before surgery, we specifically confirmed that insurance approval had been obtained. We were told to prepay and that reimbursement would follow after insurance processing. Months later, after dozens of calls and even arranging a conference call between the office and our insurance company, we learned the claim had never actually been approved or received by insurance despite what we had been told. Since then, communication has been poor, follow-up has been minimal, and there has been no sense of urgency. At the end of August, the office manager told me to stop calling and wait for them to contact me once they figured out how to resolve the situation. Meanwhile, our family has been out more than $1,000 due to their mistake. With three children, including one who just started college, that is not insignificant. Mistakes happen. Lack of accountability, poor communication, and a dismissive attitude are what make this experience unacceptable. I would not recommend Livermore Smiles.

I deeply regretted having it removed because it probably could have been saved with a root canal and continued to last for many years. Because of that experience, when another dentist later recommended extracting two more teeth, I decided to seek a second opinion. I didn't want to lose more teeth unnecessarily. My husband found Levine Family Dental online. After carefully examining my teeth, Dr. Levine made recommendations that I truly believe were the right ones. I still clearly remember him saying: 'Don't rush to pull teeth. I've been coming to this practice…read moresince this husband and wife team bought the place 20 years ago because I was a patient of the previous dentist. My husband and I have continued with the Levines ever since. What keeps me coming here even though I now live 100 miles away is the fact that Dr. Levine is what I want in a dentist. He is precise in his work and is technically outstanding. He makes you feel comfortable, it's easy to ask questions, and he communicates well so that I can understand. He is respectful and has extensive training and knowledge. He continues to improve the practice by staying current on all dentistry practices. He now makes his own crowns in the office so no need for a temporary. He is able to make adjustments to this crown in-house if necessary to prevent an additional trip into the office. Dr. Levine showed me how the crown is customized and it is pretty amazing! And most importantly, Dr. Levine is gentle and will warn you in advance if you will be feeling anything. The hygienist I see is Darlene and she is accommodating and works hard to keep your pearly whites in excellent condition. I have gone through a few other hygienists here but she has worked out the best for me. She is warm, friendly and I always feel like my teeth are incredibly clean as I leave the office. I love getting my teeth cleaned by Darlene as I feel like I'm getting a reset and clean slate for the next six months. The front desk is responsive and kind too. Everyone here helps to ensure you receive compassionate care and you feel welcomed and at ease. I had some dental work done during this last appointment where I was given a heads up that I needed to be in the office for two hours. During this time I could hear the office staff speak in warm and friendly tones to each other so the atmosphere is calm and professional at all times.
