Containers under 24 ounces are worth 5 cents and containers 24 ounces or larger are worth 10 cents. You can request to have up to 50 containers of each material type counted individually instead of by weight. I had several larger containers and was told I could mix them in. Some were later pulled out and counted at 10 cents, but not all of them. Could have just been a misunderstanding, but next time I will separate them and ask for them to be counted. Overall, quick and convenient. Know the CRV rules before you go so you get the full refund you are entitled to.

Today I brought in 4 & 1/2 trash bags full of items which consisted of one whole trash bin full of aluminum cans, one half trash bin full of plastic #1 and one half trash bin full of plastic #2 as well as a handful of glass items. Usually I could get anywhere from $8 (MINIMUM) to $12 depending on the items/price/etc. But I received $3.85 for it all. I asked to confirm with the person running the recycling area whether or not they included all of my items because it looked a lot less than it was supposed to be and they assured me that they did. On the receipt it shows a lot of my items have been zeroed out meaning they didn't pay me for what they should have paid me for. Instead they chose to scrap it or something else. When I go to a alternate location of this exact company I get twice as much money consistently. Someone at one of these locations is doing something severely wrong, whether that be overpaying at one location or severely underpaying patrons at one location. It's infuriating. I wasted my time and my effort and potentially my money because I turned in recycling that only netted me less than $4. This is ridiculous.

The weight that I got at home was about 12 pounds of aluminum. When they waited at the recycling center, it weighed at 8.5 pounds. They put all of the lighter weight recycling things like plastic bottles, and aluminum cans in these lightweight plastic mesh baskets. The glass bottles, however, are put in a thick plastic trashcan. The scale is zeroed out for the heavy trashcan. Therefore, the only thing that is measured accurately is the glass bottles, which aren't worth that much. The things that are worth more, such as the aluminum cans, show up as much less weight because the scale is off.

Ricardo, that opened the bin, saw i was waiting first and i asked him how much time he needed to get ready to open and he said '5 minutes and I'll help you out' so i waited for him before starting to stack my bottles. While he was setting up, I asked if it was okay if I gave them a case waters that they can keep for the heat and he said ok, took the waters, then walked away from the bin and stared a conversation with some towing guy nearby. The other guy (Angel i think? It was hard to understand his words) finally mustered the courage to come to work as well, and he put out the barrels and asked who was first and everyone pointed at me. I said I was ready--then he proceeded to help out the 2 other customers :( 'Angel' and 'Ricardo' were disappointing on this Friday Aug 22, 2025. I am no judge of their character but the odor they had, the slurring in their speech, and the speed at which they moved woulda had me guessing they were hungover or drugs :( I'm not even sure they typed in the numbers correctly--the way they both were standing there staring at the keyboard.
