I came to this recycling place last week. It was my first visit and I wasn't expecting much. Just wanted to try another recycling place since the one near me has been closed down. When I got out from my car, a gentleman came asking if I have a jumper cable and if I could help jump-starting a lady's car. Without knowing much of what happened, I looked over and saw a lady's talking on her phone next to her car. Long story short, we jump-started her car and she was very thankful and we all went back to doing our recycling business :) I couldn't help but praised him for voluntarily helping the customer. He was very cool and said everyone needs help once in a while. I believe we all felt good that we helped her but it was him who went out his way looking for jumper cable first. I think the gentleman is either the owner or the manager (I forgot to ask for his name). After a week, I thought about this and wanted to share the story. An act of kindness can happen anytime, anywhere to anyone. Let's all be nice to each other. read more

Really appreciate the guys here! Always have a great experience and they work hard to keep a friendly amazing easy recycling drop off! It can be busy, I usually go between 12:30-2:00pm and it seems to be a pretty good time slot. Sharing a tip I got from someone's review before my first time that helped me out - sort your stuff beforehand to make it easy to dump into the bins, weighed and cashed out! No need to crush. Also heads up this location is on the side of the market and the parking lot gets full so bring some patience. Anyways big fan and appreciate the team here! read more

Next Generation Recycling - closed - "full"? - Recycling Center Near Me - Mission Viejo, California

As the Recycle Planet stations have closed, this is one of the few spots that still continues to be operating. It has become very crowded so expect a long wait time. Recently on Friday morning around 11AM, it took from 1 to 2 1/2 hours. Aside from the long wait, the people that work there are amazing. They are patient and polite even through the high temperatures during the day and seemingly never ending long lines. FYI, try to find parking in the market parking lot because throughout the day delivery trucks are moving in and out the narrow roadway in the back. Also try to get there early because lines grow quickly and long during the day. read more

Jimmy was super helpful while we visited for the 1st time. He explained to my son how to sort and offered gloves and sanitizer. He's super friendly and runs an efficient business, I trust we got a good value for our recyclables. We visited a different recycling center before this one (in San Juan Cap behind the Vons) and the people in the parking lot were so scary, I didn't even let my son out of the car. Their posted hours online and at the recycling center are M-F 8:30am-3pm. I arrived at 8:45am just to find a brown cardboard sign that you can barely read saying we open at 10am. The worst part is that I spoke to Jimmy after 10am and he said everyone knows I don't get here before 10am and I don't get paid enough hourly. Jimmy has a bad attitude and very rude. Fix your hours so people won't waste their time by driving out before 10am. Go to Ponce recycling, at least they are reliable. read more

I absolutely love this recycling center!!! I didn't think I could love a recycling center more than the one off of Marguerite behind the Ralph's until they closed down but I finally found this place that has been under my nose the whole time and I am so glad that they are still there! It's located by the Home Depot in the Crown Valley Center, you'd take Marguerite to Center Dr, and the Next Generation Recycling Center is located BEHIND the Bahar Grocery & Restaurant. I absolutely love the owner he is so kind and generous and great to talk to; he is also fair and especially during this pandemic he offers hand sanitizer and also has his amazing employees that come to your car to grab the recycling and put it in the bins for you. The whole process is finished before you can even step out of your car! Lol I will never go to another recycling center, also if you're worried about lines, every time I've gone there has rarely been a line, but if there is, it goes by so fast because of the efficiency of the employees that it's your turn within the first 5 minutes that you got there. Best kept secret in MV There is a golden hour as well & it's at 10AM, that's when it's the slowest and you're in and out in minutes. Also I know online I have seen some older photos of their hours that are wrong and I just wanted to list them here in case you don't catch them anywhere else: *Monday-Friday 8:30AM-3PM *Saturday & Sunday- Closed I wish I knew the name of the owner or the man that runs this booth so I could personally name him in my review because not only Is his staff great but he himself makes the experience work and again he has a great personality and is a wonderful people person! I finally found a great recycling center in south county! I used to live in Irvine and went to the California Conservation Corps recycling center near Jamboree and Construction Circle. When I moved down south, I couldn't find a similar recycling center to take my bottles and cans. I even went to some places I found online only to find that they were closed down. I stopped by Next Generation one day with little expectation. I was about to start putting all of my bottles and cans in the recycle bin taken away by CR&R, but thought I would give it one more try to find a local center. They were so fast, efficient, professional, and nice. This is the best recycling center hands down. I went today with only a few bags and walked away with cash in a matter of five minutes. I recommend Next Generation Recycling. The only wish that I have is that they were open on Saturdays or later in the afternoon. Other than that, great place. read more

This place is by far the cleanest of all recycling centers that we've been to or passed by. Along with so many other reviews, I would highly recommend giving them a try! Jimmy great! He's friendly, he maintains a clean area, brings the bins close to you and back to have them weighed. He even has hand sanitizer and paper towels (like who else is that considerate!). I've never had to wait in line and always feel like I'm doing some good and getting paid for it. I've been here 4x and only once did I encounter this deuchebag (Caucasian male) who thankfully no longer works there. Sh!t happens sometimes, so I've called/texted just to be certain that someone's there before I take the drive. They probably won't be open if it's raining. read more

Couldn't be happier! Jimmy is super personable and helpful. The first place I went to was RePlanted recycling in Mission Viejo and it was awful, they were so rude I left. Later in the day I came to Next Generation recycling and everything went perfect. note- they count only 50 counts of bottles. make you weigh if lesss. fyi by law recycle companies are required to give crv of cans/bottles by count UP TO 50 bottles not a 50 minimum- . also tried (likely accidentally possibly not) to only say I had .5 lbs of cans when I saw the scale said 1.5 lbs. wouldn't take my 19 count after I counted for them and gave me a dollar instead of the 1.66/lb that he missed on the cans. stuck here afterward with 19 bottles and $.66 short of what I was owed and told not to come back. poor customer service when its a 2 way street. don't give them business. read more

Super fast and efficient. The key is that they don't let you unload unless it's pre-sorted, so make sure you do that at home because once you unload and pour into cans, it's chop chop fast!! In and out in minutes, with cash! I kid you not and there were 3 people ahead of me and I had 10 huge bags. read more

Have been waiting in a ridiculously long line before 8:30am when they are supposed to be open. The worker didn't show up after an hour when they should have opened. I just called him and he has lied saying he is 15minutes away(took 20). Also very confused why he sounded surprised to hear there was a long line when he is showing up over an hour late to work. Just had my first experience with them. Let's be honest here when you go to recycling Center you can expect an exchange of very few words and getting your hands dirty. When it comes to weighing out your materials typically recyclers are a fan of rounding down. Next generation recycling was a completely different experience. Upon arriving at this recycling center someone helped me unload my car and while I went to park they put it into the bins for me. when I came back they were already finishing sorting it out. I was even given Generous final payout. I'm telling you this was like the luxury service spa of recycling centers. I Highly recommend giving them your business. They make the effort of recycling worth your while. read more
