It looked like she was the only server today covering the entire seating area (other than the bar) and she remembered all of my group's drinks and somehow showed up whenever we needed attention. Efforts way beyond expectations. In fact, this is one of the main reasons I am giving this venue a 5 star review. Our food was good too (see photo). I just wish they had more variety of beer. It doesn't even have to be on tap but even can/bottle options. Their liquor selection is excellent (especially bourbon!) and it seemed like they offer decent wines too. I don't know much about wine though. As far as I know, you do not need to be a member of Bellevue Club to dine here. No one from my party today was (but I was here for an event and I invited my friends over for happy hour afterwards). The prices are great during happy hour and even non-happy hour prices aren't expensive in my humble opinion - especially given the location. Highly recommended if you're in the area.

Maybe the vibe is a little different at night when the lights on the courses are brighter and more pleasant, but the holes are not too well constructed and are a lot smaller than expected. The edges are constructed in a way that a ball can easily get lodged under the rim of the edges and the light strips that line it, making it difficult to play a smooth game. There's also one hole in particular that our balls got stuck in multiple times. There are no instructions whatsoever, like how the game of thrones inspired one is the last hole (it does not return your ball). All in all, it's fun for one time but I definitely had higher expectations for gameplay and the construction and quality of the holes.

This enables me to make a broader point: Restaurants have to get it through their heads that cutting costs has negative impact on customer experience, putting the lifeblood of their business into jeopardy. Take the widespread adoption of QR code-based menus during COVID...how many restaurants do you know actually switched back to real menus after COVID passed? The answer is very few. The reason why? They are too stingy to pony up the dough and ignore the benefit to the customer experience. They figure, 'people already know how to do that so why spend the money on printing up menus anymore?". They couldn't care less about what customers might actually enjoy more, and that's the real travesty. If restaurants are going to force their customers into a self-serve model (as so many have nowadays), then why bother tipping anyone? I am so fed up of a world where the idolatry of wealth has surpassed the appreciation and value of real, engaging human experiences. The Central Bar + Restaurant could help reverse this course if they ever decide to they put customer experience first instead of their own profits. I say this more so that you can plan accordingly and adjust expectations than to be hypercritical. I should also note that we split plates, so you are seeing half portions.
