The store is nice, but the people are incompetent. But the worst was the delivery, they sent the wrong color and it was the only items on the truck. It was around 1pm. The dispatch manger and the store manager did not offer to help. They said they are not able to return to Humble (the warehouse) and return the same day. Really???? This is a California company, they do not understand Texas, and our ways. Do not shop there!!!!! You are not a valued customer just a dollar.!!!! read more

The old lady who claimed to be the color specialist / designer single handedly ruined the experience at the show room. I can totally see why this place has a 2 star rating. Advice for the company: if you are selling $2000+ bed, you better be able to either provide a bright show room so that customers can see the color and texture of fabric under bright light, or at least be able to provide free swatches so that customers can take them home and compare them. If you can't provide either, at least train your staff to be friendly and not be so cocky. The old lady explained the company doesn't provide fabric swatches because people collect and steal them, which to me sounds extremely stupid. Who on earth would waste their time, come out to the show room just to steal some fabric swatches? After hearing that, I politely asked if I could bring the fabric sample under the sun to get a better look, and she immediately said no. Quint in the sleep area was super knowledgeable and easy going! He consulted with us regarding a new purple mattress and wasn't pushing a sale at all, which was nice versus my experience at rooms to go... Not to mention the bar & drinks was a nice touch to walk around and browse ($2 a drink). Was also looking for a couch, they were all very pretty but not the comfiest. I would suggest going in person to look at the furniture first before buying online. read more

Great shopping experience, our sales person was John and he was great. The bad review is because of the delivery service. We received an email the day before delivery with a window of 8 to 6, the day of the deliver I hadn't heard anything from anyone so I called them at 3 pm, and was told that my new window would be from 6 pm to midnight!!!! And that my furniture hadn't not even left the warehouse in Humble. That's not a good way to earn customers. read more

If I could rate 0 this awful company and customer service, I would. We are so disappointed, sad, and frustrated with this company that we will never buy or visit the store again. I will also encourage my family and as many friends/coworkers as I can to not buy anything from this place. We bought a customized Sofa set on October 28th. When they sold the piece, they sold it as something fully customized and assembled in their warehouses. They promised to deliver it on time or sooner. I called many times to their terrible and dishonest customer service to ensure we would get our order as promised for Christmas and they insisted that everything was going as planned that our order would arrive on time, and that the piece was ready and waiting for shipment. The delivery day was confirmed by them on December 17th, and they called us TODAY December 13th to inform us that after 1 month and 3 weeks of waiting our order will never arrive because the provider will NOT fulfill the order. They lie to you and sell something that they don't control, make you think you will receive your order as planned when they know is not true, they wait until the very LAST DAY to tell you the truth and offer a miserable discount of 5% off your next purchase as a solution. They refused to refund your money immediately and tried to sell you a different piece that most likely you will never receive. Omg I'm livid, we bought chairs to go with a live edge table we had made. Originally we had a late date for delivery but kept getting emails from living spaces to deliver early. We did, yesterday I noticed one of the chairs was coming apart. We brought it back today. Well... it's past the 7 day return policy. Received initial order in 2 shipments when they said it would be 1. 2 of 4 pieces were defective. Waiting 5 days for someone to come inspect and he cancelled an hour before my appointment window was up. Complained and got them to exchange and now same thing happened, they only shipped one piece and expect you to sit around for 2 days waiting for them to deliver. My son and nephew really enjoy this place as much as I do! I can look around without them cramping my style on the car carts or chill at the playground with them until it's time to go. I've been a few times to look for pieces for my home, with my sister for her home, and sometimes just for the playground. They offer free Starbucks coffee and the cafe inside makes for a quick and easy meal for kids (and adults). One stop drink and shop for adults- enjoy a simple espressos or a glass of wine or beer. Decorating and choosing furniture can be stressful! Relax, have a drink and think it over before choosing your decor combinations. Sales representatives are a hit and miss. At times, they are attentive and then not. The playground attendant and cafe attendants have always been really friendly. I'm very impressed by how clean it is, especially the playground, but I've always only gone during the week so I don't know what the weekends are like. Big selection and some things are pretty reasonably priced. read more

I purchased a couch with Steven and he told us they have this promotions nonpayment for 12 month. We qualified and when I got my bill there was a late fee. Then I found out we had to make the minimum payment, so they charged me for late fee. I called synchronous and they canceled the late fee but when I spoke to Joel the manager. He didn't want to take any responsibility and he just said you have to call synchrony. Even when I told him he needs to tell his employees to not give misleading information to their customers. I will not be buying from them again. Bad bad service. I called and paid the entire amount so I don't have to deal with them again. read more

One of the worst customer service furniture places I have ever purchased. Living Spaces in Katy. They will lie to you in your face telling you "Yes I can get it to you in 14 days guarantee". I said "yes that's fine I'll do it ,you talked me into buying this couch I agree." The day its supposed to be delivered they send you a text message "your item is coming your way between 12-3pm". Then you get a call from living spaces saying "your item you paid for is not coming into today so sorry. We have no clue when it will get to you. Sorry about that." I was furious. They have been sitting on my money 14 days and they have no clue when it's coming in. Maybe in September? That would make it 40 days. Unbelievable, I will never ever buy anything from them. I was actually going to furnish my whole house with there furniture cause it actually looks good. This is why people shop at Gallery furniture. They told us they were over their limit already so it seems only certain kids are allowed in and I guess my child, who was going to be supervised by family, wasn't allowed in. Honestly I am so dissapointed right now and frustrated. Our sales person was great and we fell inlove with our pieces. However, customer service, warranty, and delivery has been a nightmare. First they brought me the dinning chairs they were not the same color as in the store in some spaces. Told me they were part of the design. I went to check in the store and the store had a more black design instead of cherry wood. No problem, the bring me a total of 4 deliveries all with similar problems (always with the wrong amount of chairs 4/6 or 5/6). They told me to access my extended warranty so they would come "paint" the chairs I called and the warranty says they cannot do that. So great. Suddenly I get a notification for a delivery they delivered 1 chair out of 6 painted by a "technitian" and damaged in the process. My husband accepted it because he did not see the damage. This has been the most frustrating experience I have ever had with any store and its "customer service". More than 20 calls to customer service, 5 deliveries, 3 visits to the store I feel frustrated and I wouldn't recommend buying here and if you are going to buy forget anout the warranty, trust me not worth it. read more

We purchased a couch at the beginning of October and were guaranteed it would be delivered 28 days later... that turned into 6 weeks, turned into Christmas without a couch and the people who answer the phone are in California and refuse to connect you to the store. Workers are not friendly. Kids club was a huge disappointment. We were so excited to go drop our kids off to play while we shopped for 1/2 hour for specific pieces bc we heard about their kid center. Kids saw the kids center and were SO excited. Then we find out YOU have to stay with your kids unless they are 4-7 years old. What is the point? That defeats the whole purpose... as I was the one trying to get some shopping done. So instead... we had two VERY upset kids we had to deal with instead and got zero shopping done. Came to Living Spaces today and found their Kids Spaces play area policies are lacking significant common sense. I pulled my 3 year old out of the play area for a minutes so she could eat lunch while my 6 year continued to play. Only to be told when we returned to Kids Spaces she could not return. Best answer from Living Spaces employees is, sorry that's our policy! Again a policy of this sort lacks as much common sense as COVID policies of the last 3 years. Especially since my 6 year was still in school he play area playing! Living Spaces corporate office needs to do better. read more

I spent three days going to and from living spaces, working with some incredibly nice sales staff that were more than willing to help and work with me purchase between $5,000 - $10,000 worth of new furniture and other items for my home. I was doing this as my spouse and I just moved to Houston and happened to drive by what appeared to be a nice new store in Katy, Texas. We were planning on hosting our family in our new home and desperately needed new furniture and to have it delivered this weekend, which were promised it could be. After visiting the store three different days and driving out to Katy from Downtown, we were excited to have our new furniture delivered. On 02-10-2023, the first set of delivery personnel arrived promptly and were courteous. They delivered our large TV stand to us and placed it on the fourth floor without any issues. We offered them refreshments and exchanged pleasantries. Unfortunately for us, the sectional sofa we purchased was simply too large to navigate up the stairs, so it had to be returned. Though we were disappointed, we went back to living spaces and purchased even more expensive furniture, which included but was not limited to two leather - power loveseats and a leather ottoman. These were expensive, but they were great looking. We were promised and scheduled delivery between 6 pm to midnight on the same day, so we were happy about that, just in time for the Super Bowl too... Unfortunately, when the next two delivery personnel arrived, they were not happy about having to work. They complained about the stairs - 36 stairs, 12 for each floor. So they carried the ottoman up 24 stairs and refused to carry it the last 12, so I did it myself. They then refused to carry the two loveseats up as they said they were heavy and it was against the company policy. I explained that just 10 hours earlier, the previous delivery people had no problems with it and carried larger and heavier furniture, and were happy to help. But not these two. One even walked up to the fourth floor and removed the ottoman after saying they could not go up there and refused to deliver it to me, which made no sense because he said earlier that he was afraid that he may get injured or something could happen in the last 12 steps. To end this long story, I spoke with the supervisor on the phone and he said it could be delivered, but it was up to the delivery personnel. I offered to help carry it from the third floor but then they were even unwilling to do that and took the furniture and departed, even after they unwrapped it outside. To make a long story short, the experience with delivery was so bad, that I highly recommend against dealing with this store. And that is sad as the sales staff were quite nice and professional. Now I am stuck having to scramble at the last minute and start all over all because the two personnel refused to help. There was also some discussion in Spanish that they did not think I could understand, but I lived in Central America for several years and I was disappointed to hear what they were saying. They still had no idea that I could understand them when they left, and this is sad because I lived in Central America for over three years and I never experienced this there. read more

Customer service is terrible when I say terrible I mean Buyer Beware one person after the next gives you the run around. They will say anything for a sale and then after the purchase they have no clue they say they will call and never do! My son has no furniture and they will not cancel his order. Furniture doesn't get delivered as promised, then they say it'll be another few days, those few days go by and it's time to pick up (again), then they say oh- I'm not sure what happened the order was somehow cancelled. We've been waiting for our order for 2 weeks, when it was suppose to be ready in 2 days. This store screams for no business from buyers. Save yourselves the headache. Do NOT special order furniture from Living Spaces. I special ordered two ottomans and four pillows on October 16. I was told the pieces would be delivered between November 13-27. I financed in their o%deal. I was told I wouldn't be responsible to pay for any of it until it arrived in my home. (I was worried with it being special order that it would be wrong or not come in time, so I didn't want to pay until I received it). I knew from the get go that something was wrong. I got the receipt for the ottoman and pillows and I started getting notices about the ottomans being ordered but nothing about the pillows. I called the number ( you can't talk directly to the store) and they kept telling me they were ordered and it would all be fine. Then I received a bill for the pillows even though I was told I wouldn't until they arrived at my home. I called again and they said that is the way the pillows are and they would arrive in a few weeks. I called last week to check the status of everything since we are getting close to delivery time. Still told everything is fine. Today (November 16) I get and email about setting up delivery of the ottomans. So I fill out the form on the automated system to get an update on the pillows. The email response says they will be delivered in 8 Weeks!!! So I call to see when the pillows are coming because 8 weeks can't be right. The first person tells me, the pillows were just ordered TODAY!!! Mind you I have already been charged for them and have paid the bill as it was due on November 15. So I ask to talk to a supervisor. I'm told that one would call me back in a few hours. I said no, I want to talk to one now. So after waiting on hold for a long time, the man comes back on, says hello, then hangs up. So I call again. After having to go through the whole situation again, because they won't just get the supervisor, I'm told the supervisors computer is down and he will call me back in 10 minutes. 40 minutes go by and no call. So I call back again. By this point I'm beyond mad. The lady tells me that supervisors have up to 48 hours to call you back. She looks and lo and behold the pillows were just ordered TODAY. She said they messed up on the order and had just caught it, which doesn't make since because I have been saying since day one something was wrong with the order. So now, I'm having to wait for my local store to call me back, which again can be 24-48 hours to cancel the order. I understand that people make mistakes. My issue is that I have said since the get go that something wasn't right but NOBODY would listen. They kept telling that it was all fine and the pillows would probably even arrive before the ottomans. Their customer service department is nearly impossible to deal with and you can't talk to anyone local. If you want a furniture company that you can deal with and get answers from this is not it. read more

We had a great overall experience. We started online to narrow things down, and then made several trips to check it out in person. The "no commission" thing was a huge plus for us, no pressure, and no steering to items out of our budget (like other places we visited). The staff were very helpful and attentive. You may not find the exact color in your style, but once we picked out the style, they were able to show us the various colors on other styles in the showroom, not a big deal. We bought a sofa, love seat, and recliner. The delivery was spot on, with texts and Google maps showing their arrival time. Delivery guys were great - fast, efficient and tidy. Suggestion - if possible, visit them during the week. They said they get crazy busy on the weekends, but during the week it was very relaxed and non-rushed. Price was very competitive (actually better) than other stores. We had custom fabrics and colors done, and time from purchase to delivery was 3 weeks. All in all a very pleasant buying experience. read more

I ordered my furniture on 11-25-22 and was told by the sales people that it should only take 3-4 weeks to be built and delivered. It is now 2-17-23. After countless calls that leed to a call service and texts from bot type service, it has been very disappointing service. Everyone is nice but has no solution or real answer or even a log that they can see of my inquiries. I am not an unreasonable person and have been very patient in this situation. I have not felt the need to be rude to the people on the phone, it wouldn't matter if I did, they would not record it or pass it on, because everytime I call is like the first time I'm calling about the subject. What's your order #, your name, verify your address, Email, it's pretty ridiculous, by now they should know how to steal my identity. I might get my furniture eventually but they have now charged my credit like I have received it and still can't find my account when I call to see if it is here or still being made in China. The prices are good on the furniture, just don't let them customize it for you, either they have it on the showroom or walk away. At this time my wife is fed up and telling me to reject it and move on. I really wish I could talk to a real person that works at the store. And if any management ever reads this, they should really look into the business model for the company. Right now it's a bunch of promises and BS. It's fine that it's made in a different country, I know build time and transit time can vary, but don't promise 4-6 weeks and it takes 3 months plus you can't communicate with a person that knows anything, they can only send an email or see what's on their computer screen. Was so excited to know that the Houston area was getting a Living Spaces store. Purchased a 3-piece sectional that I fell in love with. The sectional has nail-head trim along the bottom of the sofa pieces and up the arms. A month in, I realized that the nail-heads on the left sofa were smaller than the right. So because of the size difference, one sofa had 60+ heads and the other had 42. Warranty department agreed to replace the sofa with the smaller heads. Replacement arrived today, still incorrect. Both sofas now have the same size heads, but spacing between is 1/2" on one and 1" on other, resulting in more heads on one than the other. Don't understand why uniformity in this particular sectional can't be met. And don't understand why, if after trying to correct this error, and failing, they don't give refunds or just let me exchange for something different. Seems like they would want to make customers happy so they will return. Disappointed! read more

Overall the whole experience was great. We have now had our order rescheduled 3 times by the distributors. The only thing we changed were the pillows. I know it's the holidays but I purchased my couch in October before the holidays started. I am beyond frustrated and the customer service have not helped at all. The only thing they do is refer to the time window. If you are going to have distributors you better make sure they can deliver the products to your customers. This is the worst experience I have had purchasing furniture minus the actual experience in the store. I loved everything else and don't want to make this last part define my whole perspective. Living spaces you need better customer service representatives who can actually help your customers. They all have been sweet but it sounds like they have restrictions on what they can do. Do better. I will not be going back to get the other pieces I wanted this is super unfortunate. read more
