DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THIS COMPANY. They will lie to you during the purchase process to secure the sale and then when you need to return it they will say it's not returnable and that they told you that when you purchased it. We bought a bed and the salesman said we needed to keep the bed for 30 days to let it form to our bodies but if we were not satisfied with it after we could return both the bed and frame. When we decided against the bed and called to return they told us it was not refundable and all sales are final. All the salesman there are frauds. They say no commission but they get certain perks when selling stuff so guaranteed they get something. This is the worst customer service I have ever seen and we have reported this activity to the BBB and states attorneys office. Buyer be very aware. read more

I have been to Living Spaces in two other cities. This one lacked in supply and a cohesive team. Other locations have a kids area with more of a jungle gym environment. In addition, other areas have a designated clearance or scratch and dent section. For this location, the kids area was basically a few games on screen and some coloring sheets. Not exactly something to wear out your kids. This location had random discounted scratch and dent discounts through out. They did have a nice seating area where I saw two guys seated having a beer and another family with a kid. But in my 30-45 min there, no one was around serving to offer a beverage. It's interesting when you got tea bags for people to have a drink but no hot water. So what really gets this a one star is the lack of communication. I entered with my wife and two kids. This lady greeted us and I said we would drop the kids off at the kids space and shop around. She said someone would be by to open it. 10 min later. No one to open up. I approached another person and asked if someone was around to open the place or not. She tells me someone is finishing something and will be on by. Another 20 min layer no one. I walked to the cashier, and he said he would get on it but no one told him. So yeah for a busier work day of a Saturday, you got sales associates at the front talking to each other and others roaming around, but no real communication. If it wasn't for my wife wanting to really find something, I would have left a long time ago Props to the cashier guy who apologized and took the time to open the kids area for my kids. Another couple brought their kids by as well. Any good sales person knows that if you can distract the kids, you will get a better chance to have paying parents invest time in a purchase. What a shame that communication is just a made up thing in this team. And yes, I saw the same two ladies in my time there again. Not with customers. I ordered a sofa with delivery and installation. The delivery crew was not able make it up the stairs and therefore took the sofa back to the warehouse. Now they are saying that I'm going to be charged a 10% restocking fee because I had to call in to request a refund and did it more than 7 days after delivery. But the product was taken back on the truck same day, so the return was well within the 7 day window. Scam business that doesn't care about customer service or honor its own policies--do not buy from here! read more

I ordered a table that came completely broken. If you buy from out of state they make you wait for the delivery/pick up drivers to come (sometimes wait 2 weeks) and then won't refund you until they receive the product and put it in their system. It has now been 15 days since they picked up the broken table and I have yet to receive the refund. They say they haven't received it yet. So I'm sitting here waiting for my money back after THEY sent a broken table (paying interest) so I had to dispute it with my bank after all. Do not purchase anything from this store. I had a 5k dollar order that was promised to be delivered on May 14th. One day before delivery we received a call saying it was delayed. I emphasized in the Lenexa store I needed this order before memorial day. Delivery is now June 11th. I have spoke to serv department 3 times now with no resolution. They provide one phone number for every Living Spaces in the United States. The only way to contact the store you purchased furniture is to physically go to the store. Went here for their grand opening to check out this new store. It's very spacious and they have very good selection of furniture to modern to classic. They even have a bar area so you can drink and enjoyed. My boyfriend and I saw some cute set, definitely a good place to wander and if you're looking, they have to choose from. OK I was in the area on work related business and I saw this place to the right of me as I was driving so I decided to check out and see what was going on. Boy was I blown away when I walked in. This was one of the hugest furniture stores I've ever seen. I know there are probably other furniture stores that probably would argue that they are bigger, but this one was pretty huge. What I loved was that I knew where each section was because you had huge lit up signs that let you know what section you were getting ready to go to and you could pretty much stand in the front of the store and see all the sections and know where you wanted to walk to which is rare in most furniture stores. I was immediately greeted by a Hispanic male who made a point of telling me that none of the workers work on commission so that there would be no one bothering me. However he did warn me that the staff are nice and that they may say hello. That's more than I can say because I wound up talking to four different workers while I was there. Each of them were friendly and kind but they all were working to get me to buy something so I don't know how much I believe they don't work on commission. I do like the quality of the furniture that I see and the prices are pretty reasonable considering we are living during a recession. I actually saw a mattress that I'm interested in purchasing down the road I just can't afford to do it now. They tried to convince me about opening a credit account but I don't do credit if I can't pay cash I don't need it. Overall it's a real nice place and they've only been open for two weeks according to the staff they told me this so it's really nice spacious, and most of all very well stocked. You will enjoy browsing this place they even have a bar where you can order drinks while you shop. How awesome is that? read more

Purchased a two piece sofa less than a month ago. Sales staff was very friendly and helpful during our visit. Unfortunately, they mixed up the billing and deliver address so our delivery was rescheduled for 3 days later due to an employee error. Ok. Not the end of the world. It happens. The couch looks amazing and is what we purchased, however the material is VERY poor quality. It has started visible pilling like a cheap sweater 27 days into owning it. My husband and I are the only people in our home. We have 3 dogs that do sit on the couch but I'd expect a couch to last at least 12 months when we we paid $1700 for it. The online chat bot said this wasn't covered under warranty. I was able to get in touch with someone at the call center who started a claim for us and requested pictures- at least she was very pleasant. I am hopeful the company will do the right thing and refund our purchase since I can't imagine a replacement being much better. I will update the review as we get more information but please think twice before buying from this location. The store personnel are lovely but the quality of product and post purchase experience is disappointing at best. read more

Trying to get furniture purchased and delivered has been a nightmare! Found the furniture we wanted, had a very pleasant and helpful salesperson. That is where the service collapsed. First we were told item would come in three pieces and would fit in elevator. Not true. Then we had a huge snowstorm night before delivery. I called out of consideration for delivery team stating that our delivery date could be moved until conditions improved. They argued that wouldn't be necessary, ended up moving the date and charged me $108. Furniture was delivered and because we were given wrong info, furniture would not fit in elevator. Now I am being charged a 25% restock fee. Never will purchase the rest of our furniture from them. read more

Bought a bed and a couch. Received a $300.00 gift card when we bought the bed. The bed was delivered and the next day we picked up the couch. We paid $300.00 less on the couch because the gift card was going to be applied. When we picked up the couch, they required that we pay that $300.00. SO DISAPPOINTED!!!!! After making a trip to Nebraska furniture mart, we decided to check out living spaces in Lenexa, ks. Buying a couch is pricey, so we wanted to be sure we were making the right decision. As parents of 5 kids, buying a couch is a big purchase for us. NFM cared about the process, and offered free delivery and even threw in the warranty at a discount. After looking at living spaces, we found a couch we liked even better! We were so excited! We started to discuss cost, as this one was $500 more than NFM. The sales person was nice, but told us, we don't negotiate or price match. We weren't asking for the couch to be discounted, just some help with delivery or warranty fees, one order to stick to our budget. They weren't willing to do ANYTHING. This was extremely off putting and lacked any humility and compassion. NFM is a big competitor here in KC, and to be honest, there were maybe 10 cars in the whole parking lot of this place (all 3 times I went to see said couch). I am SHOCKED and DISAPPOINTED that they weren't even willing to entertain the idea of trying to get us to a price we needed to be at to make the purchase happen. POOR BUSINESS FOR SURE!! Today, February 22nd, 2024, having not heard from Living Spaces Lenexa, I decided to inquire where my purchase, that I ordered in December, 2023 was. Well, I got the corporate obligatory Mumble-Jumble that the bookcase was being shipped from one warehouse to another. Bear in mind, I've heard this being shipped from warehouse to warehouse, EVERYTIME I've inquired!! I absolutely have NO faith in Living Spaces ability to keep their word...considering anything!! Now, I'm told the bookcase will available, not delivered, by March 9, 2024!! Talk about an their ability to sling MUCHO BS is an understatement!! Still waiting in Kansas for a BOOKCASE!! Once again, lesson learned!! Moreover, local furniture vendors, like NFM, Crowley's, Basset and Ethan Allen appear to be a much better choice to do my business!! About 2 months ago, my wife purchased two matching power recliners from the new Living Spaces store in Lenexa. Happy Father's Day to me! One failed completely on day 3 in our home. After enduring Living Spaces replacement drama and obstacle policies, two (different) chairs were deliveried. We had to downgrade features this time in order to still have matching chairs. Disappointing, but not the end of the world, right? Of the 4 USB ports between the two (replacement) chairs, however, 3 do not work. Living Spaces was promptly informed of its second product fail, albeit via an offshore call center followed with email documentation, as requested. Astoundingly, it is not possible to contact the Living Spaces store in Lenexa directly by telephone. All calls are directed offshore. We have been ghosted by everything Living Spaces for the last 2 months. They asked for photographs to document the issue (?!?) and we sent them via email Immediately. Crickets. Customer "Service" is non-existent and if you think you are buying local in Lenexa, you are not. What kind of business does not accept local telephone calls or even have a local telephone number? Living Spaces is 0 for 2 with our furniture purchases and we are not hopeful that our present, simple issue will ever get resolved. In the unlikely event of a Living Spaces response to this review, kindly post a local, Lenexa phone number for your new store so we can more easily contact that team of dedicated professionals without literally having to get in the car and drive there. Living Spaces in Lenexa has many formidable competitors within a 10-mile radius. It needs to acknowledge this basic fact and start conducting its business accordingly.
