The furniture I feel is a bit overpriced for the quality. Most tables were warped, cracked, or separating. Shopping used on the social media marketplace I find most furniture is coming from Living Spaces. I may get full bedroom sets and vanities for the girls when they are ready to transition to their own rooms. Just depends on what they are carrying at the time. It is a bitter sweet having most items on the floor being defective. It warns customers what to expect once they own it for a while. A place I recommend you picking and choosing wisely. I made a purchase in May of 2022 of two (2) Bowie Rocker Recliners and I have nothing but issues with these Recliners and I learned today that Living Spaces does not even sell these any more. With the Warranty I Purchased I have over $4,500 invested. I have had technicians out multiple times for both recliners, waited for parts for over 2 months and now have been told I may have to wait 3 months for parts to make yet another repair. Today I called to make an inquiry, and I was insulted, disrespected and hung up on my a woman named Maria. The warranty company is as bad as as is Living Spaces. Because the product has been discontinued according to living spaces, I am concerned that the parts need for repair may never be available. Order an out of state disabled relative a new sofa from Living Spaces with indoor delivery (no assembly or removal of packaging). Delivery was made but the sofa was left upside down. My relative pointed this out to the deliverymen and asked to rearrange but the deliverymen were unable to communicate with her. I called Living Spaces for a solution of having the deliverymen return at a later date to turn the sofa over. She is unable to do so herself. Customer support (after a long and exhausting call) refused to offer any solutions and basically said were done and asked if there is anything else they can help me with. We purchased a couch from Living Spaces with their extended warranty, and it has been nothing short of a nightmare. The couch didn't even last 2 years before major issues began. The recliner stopped working multiple times, and despite numerous service calls, the problems were never properly resolved. When the motor failed, they replaced it with a used part instead of a new one. Now the frame itself is defective, and rather than replacing the couch as they should, they only want to cover one piece -- which they no longer even sell. Their "solution" is to give us a $580 store credit for just that piece, leaving us with an unusable couch and no real resolution. We paid hundreds of dollars for their warranty, and it has been worthless. They pick and choose when they want to cover something, and their practices feel deceptive. The warranty company is based in Florida, and in my experience, they do everything possible to avoid paying legitimate claims. I do not recommend buying furniture from Living Spaces or wasting money on their extended warranty. If you value your investment, look elsewhere for both your furniture and warranty coverage. read more

After a back and forth with someone from Living Spaces after my review, the bottom line is I had 60 days to report the defect, although th defect was not identified as such (I thought someone had been eating cheetos, until the spots starting showing up all over the chairs) until a professional identified the problem. The bottom line is Living Spaces does not stand behind the quality of their products--or only for 60 days. After that, you're out of luck no matter what high scale brand or higher price you pay or insurance you buy. As comparison, La-Z-Boy offers 5 years, no questions asked, for furniture a lot less expensive. I will not shop at Living Spcaes again, nor will my friends, aquaintances, and I hope you. read more

The quality is terrible. Me and my wife were going to be moving into a bigger house, so we wanted to get one of those L couches to fill out the living room. We went in and looked around, and were helped by friendly staff, and made our choices on how we wanted the couch to look. It arrived in time, and it was pretty nice... for the first 3 weeks... then the couch cushions just started fraying. It got to the point that the foam and other inside stuff was sticking out visibly just from looking at it. We called them and asked what they could do, since all we do is sit on it, no pets or anything, and the cushion covers were completely torn all around. They replaced the covers, then it happened again 2 months later. On the second call they said it wasn't covered anymore. Horrendous quality and even worse handling of our concern, when this all happened within a few months of purchasing the couch. I will never purchase anything from them, I will openly recommend anyone I know to consider an alternative company given their poor practice. We were devastated to have spent $1000's on this couch that was ruined within a few months, but we were able to find more durable couch covers through another company, that don't match the couch exactly, but it's better than anything living spaces had tried. My family has been purchasing from Living Spaces in La Mirada, CA for years. It was my uncle's go-to furniture store for everything, my grandma had some pieces from them, and I also purchased some items from them when I was in college. Currently we are renting while we wait for our house in Northern Arizona to sell and I wanted to get some new items for my husband and I, as well as a bedroom set and some other pieces for my mom and her husband, who will be living with us from now on and just moved here from the Midwest. When we walked into Living Spaces we were greeted by a friendly employee, who I later found out was one of the managers, and we started to look around. My husband, who is disabled, walks with a cane, has an undiagnosed mystery movement disorder, and lives with a ton of nerve pain in his feet and legs, was not going to be able to comfortably walk the whole store with us, which is fine with him - he will gladly admit that his job is to hand over his card after I pick out the things that I want to buy - so, he took a much-needed moment to sit on one of the items the store had for sale and rest while the three of us looked around. I had found the bed, dining set, and some decorative pieces that I was ready to purchase, and my mom and her husband had found a bedroom set and some other items as well, so we thought we were on our way to furnishing our rental and buying pieces to go with us to our next home. But, when we were looking at recliners, my husband hobbled over to tell me that a salesperson had walked up to him to ask him if he was purchasing the piece he was sitting on. When my husband said no, the salesperson told him that he, "shouldn't be sitting on furniture that he wouldn't be buying." I understand not wanting people to linger on furniture pieces that are for sale, that's fair. But, if you can clearly see that somebody is using a cane, maybe cut the privileged ableist attitude and offer an alternative accommodation? My husband is the one walking in to spend a chunk of change in your store, maybe show some respect? I did talk to the manager about this and she was super apologetic, but it left such a bad taste in my mouth to know that my husband who worked his ass off to provide nice things for me and our family was treated this way. I will give them credit for trying to make things right, but there isn't anything I want bad enough in this world to have my husband spend his money at a place where he was spoken to like that. So needless to say we will not be purchasing our items from Living Spaces any longer. Also, like other reviewers have stated, the quality has changed quite a bit and I feel a lot of what they are offering is comparable to Ikea, but for 2x or 3x the price. So be careful when choosing your items and inspect them carefully. Not every piece is like that, but it seemed as if a huge majority is now much-lower quality than in the past. Honesty is not necessarily job #1. I bought several pieces from them several years ago. One is a console table "metal" legs and mirror top. When everything was delivered, I carefully inspected the mirror top, and the 2 drawers underneath. Everything looked good. Two weeks later one of the metal "cross" bars fell off. I looked at it, and saw that somebody had used package sealing tape to attach the bar to the cabinet! I called the store immediately. The person I was speaking with kept repeating "you signed the delivery receipt indicating you didn't see any problem, so there's nothing we can do". Excuse me, who would ever check the legs looking for tape. I said I want to speak with your Supervisor. That person told me the same. My response was the same. Supervisor. They switched me again. Supervisor...then I was put on hold. finally, I was given a chance to ask them about trying to deceive a customer by delivering a purposely "doctored" table and refusing to admit, and correct. No apology or excuse was given. They gave me a store credit, and told me to keep the broken table. Taping a table leg and not taking responsibility, for their actions is what,... BEWARE! DO NOT BUY FROM THIS PLACE!! I made the terrible mistake of purchasing two Nomad sofas--one Estate and one regular Nomad--for a whopping $2,676.00. I was assured by Omar that I could return the items within 30 days if they didn't work out, though a restocking fee would apply. However, my experience quickly revealed this store's deceptive practices and lack of integrity. Within 3 hours of making the purchase, I realized the Estate sofa wouldn't fit my space. I immediately tried to contact Omar to adjust the order. Unfortunately, this store doesn't even have a direct phone line, so I was forced to email them. According to their own policy, they promise to respond to inquiries within 48 hours. Guess what? I was NEVER contacted. Due to travel obligations, I wasn't able to visit the store in person until today--still well within the 30-day return window we were explicitly told about. But today, I was blindsided when they claimed their actual return policy is only 7 days. That's right: 7 days--a completely different story than what was clearly communicated to both my husband and me when we made the purchase. Not only are they refusing to honor the 30-day verbal policy they initially promised, but they also failed to adhere to their own written policy of responding to emails within 48 hours. Had they told me the true return policy upfront, I would have made immediate arrangements to return the sofa. Instead, I'm now stuck with a sofa that doesn't fit and am out over $1,000. This company has shown nothing but dishonesty and poor customer service. If you value your money, time, and sanity, AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS. This store has seen its last dollar from me. We purchased over $11K in furniture from this company and were talked into their awesome 5-year warranty that was supposed to cover "everything and anything". Well, we just contacted the Warranty company for the first time to file a claim due to the middle armrest on one of the sectionals being loose and hanging down. After sending pictures and wasting hours on a chat with the warranty company, they refused to honor the warranty on our couch without even so much as an explanation. We contacted Living Spaces directly to see if they could help. A manager from Living Spaces returned our call and said they too could do nothing. TERMITES!!!!Recently purchased a couch. Long story short when screwing one of the the legs on I noticed the wood was very fragile. As soon as I began to screw the leg into the couch a small mountain of wood dust was all over my hand and carpet. I immediately contacted customer service and advised of the faulty piece of furniture, they quickly offered a discount or exchange. I opted for an exchange once it was all set and done I noticed termites coming out of the couch, and of course I finally figured out why there was wood dust all over my house. I called back and of course it was impossible to deal with. So just be careful when buying any wood furniture from this place. I have pictures and video evidence. For years I have shopped at Living Spaces and have bought thousands of dollars of furniture there but after the recent nightmare experience I have had, I will NEVER spend another dollar there again. I was sold a Temperpedic mattress against my better judgement but was assured if I didn't like it, I could exchange it for another brand / model. What they don't explain to you is that you MUST wait 31 days to exchange and if you buy a less expensive mattress you will have to wait 7 to 10 days for your refund AFTER the 31 day mandatory waiting period (they call it a sleep trial but it's more like a lack of sleep sentence!) In short, they will continually lie to you about everything from exchange dates, refund dates and who's policy it is that you must sleep on a mattress that is causing pain for 31 days (BTW it was originally 30 days, not 31) SHAME ON YOU Living Spaces!! Unfortunately, we do not have this bedframe in stock anymore to suggest purchasing the rails again as it has been discontinued. The only recommendation we can make is to reach out to a furniture repair company to see if they could fix it. We are sorry we could not further assist." - All in all, waste of time to try to get them to rectify any issue. The absolute WORST customer service I've ever experienced. I purchased an entire bedroom set and paid the extra fee for installation/delivery. The guys came, put it together, no problem. They mentioned no issues and left. A year later, I was moving to a new house and upon moving, we tried to deconstruct the bedframe and realized that the delivery men had completely stripped the holes where the nails go into holding the footboard and rails. Called Living Spaces customer service to see if we could get replacement pieces - We'd even pay for it but perhaps at a cheaper cost. They basically said there was nothing they could do as the 1-year warranty was past. I tried to communicate to them that it's not a warranty issue, it was an installation issue by their delivery men that should have been flagged and communicated to me at the time of the assembly. So this is not a complaint about customer service. (So far so good) BUT it is a complaint about the quality of the product. Purchased a new sofa about 6 months ago. It's been delivered now for about 3-4 months and we have already had several claims. One of the cushions was an obvious different size than the rest. One cushion completely ripped out at the seam and now we have a second cushion ripping open. We are family of 2 and it is in a spare tv room so it is not getting alot of use or abuse.
