Living Trees & Shrubs provided two services for my home. They provided excellent care and services for my lawn care needs.

This company (Living Trees & Shrubs) provides excellent services. I highly recommend them as a company to meet your lawn care and home lighting needs. I have lived in my home since 1997. The oak tree roots had become overbearing and were taking over the front yard. I hired this company to apply root blocking to both trees to abate my fears of future home foundation issues. As you can see from the attached pictures, excellent job!! Additionally, I requested a tree trim for both trees, which had overgrown to the point where the branches were hanging pretty low to the ground. Highly recommend Living Trees & Shrubs.10+++ stars service. We can't not express our gratitude to Doug and his landscaping team helping us with design, concept, and execution on the project. Doug is just an amazing great person who is easy to talk to and extremely nice!!!!!! ~~~~~~~~~~~ (1) Our experience with living Tree & Shrubs, Doug: AMAZING!!! February 2021, our shrubs died during the Texas winter storm. So we wanted to wait until everthing settled down with landscaping needs. New design or replant just the dead plants...were unsure what we wanted to do. We had a few ideas and plants in mind. We weren't sure if we just wanted to pull the dead plants or redo the entire front landscaping. Called around and came across Living Trees & Shrubs. So pleased with them!!!! When I called, I spoke to the owner Doug. He was very friendly and was able to come that week (a few days after our call) to look at our landscaping. We wanted the landscaping be done before Thanksgiving. He mentioned he could probably start the following week once the design approved (that was so nice to hear). He came over and we walk through some of the issues. We had some really pretty large evergreens that were growing away from the house because the builder plant them to close. The biggest issue with our current landscaping was...everything was planted to close. So we just decided to redo the entire landscaping and so happy we did!!! THANK YOU DOUG! Doug came a few days later and showed us the landscaping design he drew out. He provided us with a list of the trees, shrubs, plants, stones (around the trees and outlined the plant bed areas) and cost. We also tacked on the side courtyard and a few trees in the back (since our bottle brush trees also died during the winter storm). By the way, for us there was not a fancy cad landscaping drawing with the scope of work or a typed up contract outlining all details. Doug just had a drawing, plant type list with quanity size and cost typed up. We just signed it and he guarantee the plants/trees/shrubs for xx days (which was extremely reasonable). When it came to picking out the stones he showed us a few pictures, which we narrowed down. He even invited us to meet him at quarry if we wanted to actually see and pick out the stone (we didn't meet him because he knew what we wanted) but we trusted him with his choice and recommendation. He even brought us a sample. Once design was approved they started a few days afterwards. They only took a few days and would have been done sooner but there was a lot of rain that week. They also trimmed our trees and did not butcher them. We wanted a light and easy yard to maintain. Didn't want a lot of plants, we wanted the plants to grow and fill in (so we can add if needed). It looks great and he did replant some of our bushes too :). We even contact him to ask about winterizing the plants. He guide us and was extremely helpful. He also told us what plants would go dormant and what to look for if they start to go south. He is a very responsive person whether you text or call him. Doug is truly an expert and is very knowledgeable about plant care. Living Trees and Shrubs also does lighting and has a sprinkler guy they work with (Dough recommend). We needed our system maintenance, cleaned, checked. Happy with that gentleman that did that service too. We will eventually add uplighting to front and back. Then backyard design...living Trees and Shrubs, we will definitely use their services again. There was a baby bunny, that needed to be rescued, I think it's nest was in our old shrubs (so it was missed placed). Doug's wife has a friend that is a bunny wrangler and rehabilitator. She came and picked up the bunny and help it get better so she could release it. So happy she did that was truly amazing.
