I just had my trees trimmed a new irrigation system installed and new sod placed in my yard by Eric and his team at Superior Lawn Care and Landscaping. The whole process and the work they did was outstanding. I did not realize what a huge undertaking this was, but from the beginning everything was explained to me step by step. The crew arrived on time each day, I was introduced to the supervisor of the project and felt comfortable asking questions as they came up. They were very respectful of my property and cleaned up every day before they left. At the end of the project my property was pressure washed and looks better than ever! I love the fact that there is an App to set my system and I can monitor it anytime. Eric will also continue to monitor the system from his end and adjust as needed. Great company with great people! Superior installed my sprinklers 6 years ago. They did an excellent job, used much better materials than the "back of the tailgate guys", and did the job quickly. I've had no issues with the system since. I was a first time home owner and Eric really took the time to explain the system, provide tips & tricks, and other info. to keep my yard healthy and weed free. He also advised how to trim my trees properly, even though that wasn't what I'd paid them to come out for. He's a very friendly guy and is patient with his customers. Highly recommend! read more

When we were in search of a landscaper who could give us the best re-design of our yard and give us the best price on a sprinkler, I called 5 businesses and this was one of them. We wanted a sprinkler to (obviously) water our yard and make it easier on us to that it was watered regardless of our schedule. Did our yard need more water? Yes. Did our tree need more water? Sure, but it's a healthy tree, so it wasn't in dire need or on the brink of death. We also wanted a better plant variety than what we had. Carl's a nice guy and his initial lawn layout helped us figure out the final draft, which was used by a different landscaping company. There were several reasons why we didn't choose Carl, though one was more important than the other. First, he didn't offer us the best price on sprinkler heads and zones. We wanted more coverage than what he thought we needed. Second, of the many plants he chose to replace our then existing bland palate, very few of them were able to grow in partial sunlight and shade. So, if he had planted them, they would have done well initially, but they would have died within a year, if not 6 months. It would not have been the curb appeal we were hoping to get. read more

Our backyard had a major drainage issue - it held water for days after a big rain. Eric and his team at Superior Lawn Care did an outstanding job installing a drainage system, tying in my existing gutters/downspouts, regrading the backyard and laying St. Augustine sod. Not only were they affordable, they were fantastic to work with. I look forward to working with them in the future on other projects! read more

Superior Lawn Care has been doing our yard all spring/summer and they are doing a great job! For one thing, they know how to cut St. Augustine grass at the right height so that it doesn't yellow or get stressed in our Houston heat. The other thing that was great about them is we planned a block party and wanted our yard cut before that and they made sure we were on the schedule for this to get done. I have been a customer for 4 years or more and I have had some issues with them each year. I have also had some good experiences but it has been 2 months since I requested pricing for some work. Still no answer and now I have issues with how the yard looks, unusual dead grass just around my trees and no response from them on this. Other questionable dead spots before that I think comes from carelessness from the workers. When they do do extra work , it is usually very nice but their lag time with communication is poor. Looking to change at this point. read more

UPDATED: 5 9 2018 EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED in the lack of customer service!! Since I first had Eric come out in 2016, to get him to return a phone call has only gotten worse. This was the last straw this time. He came out 3/30/2018 to see what needed to be done. He said it would be 3 to 4 weeks as he was backlogged. No problem! So I called him on 4/26/2018 to follow up to see where I was on the schedule and got a generic text response, "I can't talk right now. I'll call you back shortly." NEVER returned my call! I have tried to contact him numerous times since and have received zero responses. I am going to find someone else now that wants my business and understands just how important customer service is to a business. I remember him telling me before that he has so much business now, he really just wants to keep what he has now and doesn't need new customers. Never again Superior Lawn Care. I called in December with a small issue. Never called me back. This spring I had my lawn guy weed and trim instead of calling Superior Lawn Care because of the no return call issues. Thought I would give him one more chance this spring. I am DONE!! Oh and my next door neighbors never hired Eric because he also never returned their calls. Same thing happened when my sister in law called him. One can not continue running a successful business, when their customer service continuously is lacking. read more

Superior Lawn Care just completed our yard clean-up and we're very pleased. They removed trees & bushes, reconfigured three flowerbeds, installed sod and tweaked our sprinkler system. Eric was prompt in returning calls, providing an estimate and scheduling the work. A large crew worked two full days and transformed our sad yard into one that makes us smile. Eric Ford is a very professional landscaper. He takes care in selecting the right plants for the location in the yard. He planted low maintenance and hardy plants as we requested. He took our very mature back yard and gave it a wonderfully manicured look. Patches of our lawn had died due to lack of sunlight and poor conditions. After a careful trimming of our mature trees, Eric's crew came in and tilled the earth, added rich soil and laid down new sod. Watering was closely monitored and follow up was key to what is now a healthy area of new grass. We are also pleased with the attention to detail with how our existing sprinkler system would maintain everything he planted. Adjustments and changes were made as necessary. When the crew arrives to your home they come in large numbers and work at a very satisfying pace. read more

I had the best experience with Eric from Superior! I needed a little bit of everything done, including landscaping block repair, landscape design, sod (which was complicated due to a tree removal and very poorly maintained soil) and a staking of a tree that had grown crooked. Eric came out to give me an estimate and spent a ton of time discussing his plan and answering all my questions. He is extremely thorough, knowledgeable and set on doing the job right...which left me thinking I was going to get an estimate that was on the high side and less than palatable to me, since I wanted to stick to a budget. Much to my surprise, Eric's estimate was extremely reasonable! He communicated with me throughout the process and was on site while the work was performed. I cannot say enough good things about Eric and his business. Amazing experience, which tends to be rare these days when dealing with contractors. A+++ from me! read more

Eric and his crew were absolutely THE BEST! We had several landscaping issues. One was no watering system in the backyard, but the most important was our sod issue. We'd been experiencing difficulty keeping our grass alive around and under very mature trees with ground level roots. Others had told us to simply cover the roots, but Eric got to the "root" of the problem and told us he could shave away some of the surface roots without hurting these great trees. He suggested we trim and thin some of the tree branches first. He carefully surveyed and measured the areas needing new sod, (not just areas under the trees) as well as surveying the backyard for proper irrigation installation while always wearing a mask when speaking with us, even in 90's+ weather! He regraded certain areas to maintain a gradual drainage slope. Eric scheduled us within a few weeks even in the midst of this pandemic! He and his crew were professional, meticulous and efficient. They removed areas of scant grass in our front and back yards, completely resodded all and installed a backyard irrigation system taking great care to clean up after themselves. Our lawn now looks SPECTACULAR and our watering system is great!! If I could award more stars to Eric, I would! Don't hesitate to give Eric a call!! read more

We chose this company to service our lawn care needs. Initially we called numerous times and left messages to schedule a time to meet and discuss our needs. After some time we met Carl, who was very helpful in addressing our concerns and offering solutions to our problems. We were upfront with him that we were only concerned with a lawn service at that time, but we saw our needs changing very soon. We just wanted to see our home look its best after all the grass had grown in. We felt good about the meeting and after a few days we called to give the go ahead on starting the service. I left a voicemail and waited for a call back, then another and another. Each time I was clear who I was, why I was calling, what I'd like to have done, and my call back number. It didn't matter, and every call that I made was not returned. Even a call to the man who quoted us went unanswered. Our area had experienced some flooding, so I was patient thinking that a potential client wouldn't be ignored forever and there was a good reason for all the unreturned calls. They persisted. The only call back we got was when we sent another inquiry through the website. We decided to pass on working with them. read more

Eric responded to my inquiry about a landscaper and the next day he was at our house. His drawings and plans were great and we understood exactly what we were getting. He definitely knows everything there is about landscaping, drainage, sprinkler repair, landscape lighting etc... We just recently had a pool installed and we needed the works done! He and his crew (and a huge crew at that) were finished with our complete over haul in only 2 days! I'm talking sprinkler repair and install, grading and sod, complete landscaping and lighting. We have used several landscaping companies around the area and finally came upon Superior Lawn Care and Landscaping, owned by Eric Ford. They were fantastic! Eric is 100% responsive and very tuned in to listening to what you want for your yard. He found the rock we had in mind for our border that no one else could find...and it was the less expensive option. His team installed rock border around our beds, trimmed trees, took out a couple of roots headed toward the side walk and house, repaired sprinkler issues related to the freeze and laid down sod. His bid was fair and his team went above and beyond to take care of some issues that cropped up during the work. They even helped a lady driving through the neighborhood change her flat tire. Great people. I'm thrilled with the final product. Eric even took the time to help me understand my sprinkler programmer and helped me set it properly. I know who I will call again. read more
