Add this shop to the slew of cool stops that make New Bern seriously the place for me. (Like, really, I'm already looking for a spot here to retire at.) It's great to have a healthy, natural and organic foods store right in the walkable heart of downtown. Seems like they've got everything from fresh to frozen to boxed that you can imagine. Not to mention health-related goods in the naturopathic and homeopathic segment. The staff here were all so friendly and helpful and not super stressed out with the whole pandemic thing. The spot they're crammed into is almost too small, especially considering they're competing against the likes of large grocery stores, for example. As long as Whole Foods never figures out that New Bern is ripe for their target demographic, this place ought to continue thriving. Will stop back in here for sure when I'm back in town. read more

This was a neat little shop selling health and wellness type food, drinks, and other such things. We ended up walking out with a bag full of stuff. Staff was very friendly and made sure to give us a flyer to walk around with so that we knew what was on sale. I was happy to see that they sold maple syrup form my home town in Vermont. I am not sure what I was expecting when I walked in here but it was so much better. They have literally any kind of health food you could think of. From fresh seasonal produce to frozen meats to freshly made peanut butter. I was especially drawn in by all of the drinks which took up an entire wall. I got myself a kombucha, a mood enhancing carbonated drink, a pumpkin spice nutpod, and spiced gingerbread tea bags. (Trying to illustrate that they have everything.) The man and woman that were working were so incredibly helpful and friendly. Definitely stop by here! read more

I've ordered groceries twice from here. The woman took my order over the phone and could not have been more helpful or friendly or nice. She told me everything they had or didn't have and gave me options when there were multiple to choose from. EXTREMELY helpful. Plus free delivery! The food I ordered was for someone else who said that it was absolutely fantastic. So although I have not seen it myself I believe that this is a very high-quality place. read more

It is a lovely store but nobody working in the store wears a face mask. It is a fairly small space inside with not a lot of room to move around. I do not know what kind of alternative theory they subscribe to, but it is not science! Very disappointing that a health food store does not take the recommended precautions to prevent the spread of Covid inside the store. read more

This is a lovely little store that I always loved shopping here. That is until I went in Tuesday and discovered no one in the store were masking or distancing. I do not understand why a small business will not comply with health department and state mandates on masking and distancing during this horrible COVID-19 we are living in. This is a cutesy little store on the same side of Gordon St as the Boiler Room and it's chock full of organic merchandise, from foods to medications to cosmetic items. The young lady who rang me up was pleasant. I found some really cool black bean pasta, other neat stuff and I will recommend it just for an interesting browse whilst strolling around the foodie spots near Boiler Room and Chef And The Farmer. read more

I went in this shop on Saturday and it was cute! After hearing the way one lady spoke to another ( I think she is the owner) I will not return there no one should talk to someone like that and not in front of customers. when I asked her a question the way she answered me was like I was bothering her. She quickly had someone else help me and he was great. So sad for a small business owner to act like that. read more
