LW is a phenomenal school and home for our daughter. After researching other schools, we found the perfect learning environment and welcoming community at Living Word. The teachers and director pour their hearts into the children and families. All teachers and assistants are experienced and certified as educators. Children enjoy and learn from hands on learning and socialization. Despite the young age of some children, the staff knows they are all capable of learning, and take time to plan curriculum. The director is kind, selfless, and inviting. She genuinely loves her job and getting to know all kids. She is experienced director and previous educator. She knows what teachers and children need to ensure success. She spends time with the students and assists in classrooms. She has even jumped in as a teacher! She wears many hats and can be seen receiving hugs from all children. She knows them all by name. My daughter had separation anxiety, but was given one on one attention, and LOVES school now. She adores her teachers and the director. The director has tight bonds and able to help regulate children who are adjusting to school. She can be seen walking around with students and comforting the newcomers. The class sizes are strategically sized to enable the best learning environment for students. I couldn't be more impressed!! We love the projects our daughter brings home. There's nothing more relieving and reassuring than knowing my daughter is safe and learning actual curriculum. My elementary students come to Kindergarten more prepared than some of the learning academies near by. We were originally afraid we would not be able to have our daughter attend school due to not being a part of the church, but they are so welcoming that it doesn't get in the way of our daughter being accepted and loved. In fact, the school continues to grow and welcomes all cultures. Students learn and appreciate cultures from fellow classmates. What an incredible community and blessing. After reading a review about "babysitting," unaccepting of others, and an "elderly director," I am being to think those reviews must be about a different school. None of those complaints are fathomable or close to the truth with Living Word. In fact, the school is diverse, filled with valuable learning experiences, experienced and knowledgeable teachers, and a fun-loving, dedicated director. A part of me has wanted to gatekeep this place because it is so good! I cannot recommend Living Word Preschool enough. We have 3 kids, and all 3 have had such amazing experiences here. The director is absolutely fabulous - organized, great communication, so welcoming, and every teacher cares for my kids as if they were their own. My oldest daughter was more than prepared for Kindergarten, both socially and academically. She came to Living Word from a more chaotic preschool setting, and the staff at Living Word really worked with her and me to help her learn more positive behaviors and really thrive. My son has attended this school from 15 months, he will be graduating in May, and we've seen him develop so well. And, my youngest adapted wonderfully to the 15 month old room this year thanks to such loving and welcoming teachers. My kids have learned so much in each class, but more importantly to me, they are so well cared for by every teacher. We have experienced some not so great daycare-type settings in the past, and what stood out to me from the start at Living Word is what a great family feel it is. Our daughter attended the preschool from age 2-5. She had a great experience with all the teachers. Mrs. Bev, the director, is absolutely wonderful. She greets the children every day at the beginning of the day, knows every kid's name, and also sees them off at the end of the day. She's incredibly involved and always had a knowledge of the wellness of all the kids. The teachers are some of the friendliest and most engaged teachers you'll find. It made a huge difference with the kids seeing the teacher engaged with both them and the parents. All the activities and learning that happen throughout the day can be seen and a number of their daily activities come home with them for parents to see and can be expanded upon with parents. Our daughter flourished here, and since she has started elementary school, she has excelled. She felt empowered to engage in new activities with new people and new parents. I credit a lot of her success in starting elementary school and her personal development on the great experience at Living Word Preschool. Our family has had an incredible experience at Living Word Lutheran Church Preschool. From the moment we walked through the doors, we knew this was a place where children are genuinely loved, encouraged, and challenged to grow. The teachers are patient, caring, and truly invested in each child's development. I can't say enough good things about Living Word. Ms. Bev the coordinator is a true gem! She is very passionate and knowledgeable in education and child development and that is reflected highly in the entire school. She does an excellent job communicating to keep parents involved and updated. The classes are small, the teachers are kind, knowledgeable and you can just tell they love what they do. My oldest graduated and was fully prepared for kindergarten. Middle is currently enrolled here, I just had a baby and when she's ready for preschool there's no school I'd even consider over this one. I drive over 30mins to this school, it's not close or convenient by any means but it's 100% worth the drive! read more

We absolutely love Living Word! My daughter has been attending the Pre-K program here since she was two, and I couldn't be happier with our experience. She will be off to kindergarten next year and each class has been wonderful. The teachers are phenomenal--they truly take the time to get to know each child and tailor their approach to help them thrive. My daughter has blossomed under their care and guidance, and it's clear how much they genuinely care about their students. Additionally, safety is a top priority here which was so important to me as a parent. We always feel peace of mind dropping our daughter off each day. I think this place may be having a true crisis of confidence. The director is reaching out to literally anyone she's ever come in contact with begging them to write good reviews and in my case asking to address and refute specific bad reviews. To be clear we never experienced any prejudice or discrimination here, but there's something about this happening that makes you feel like a token minority. I didn't know a yelp existed for this school until this. I will say that TV is used a lot in this program and the teachers are not forthcoming about it. I started catching on to this when they'd send home pictures and I'd see TV blasting in the background during work and lunch times read more

We are so blessed that we are a part of this preschool! We moved during the school year and everyone welcomed us with open arms. Mrs. Christi is such a loving preschool teacher and takes such great care of the kids. My son is always happy to go to school and already learned a lot, even so he just started his preschool journey. My older son is in Mrs. Saucedas class. He didn't learn a lot academically in his old preschool. Since he's going to this school he got so interested in letters and numbers and his progress is amazing. Mrs. Bev is such a nice person. I just needed some last minute after care for my boys and she didn't hesitate to help me out! We love this place! read more

We have been very happy with Living Word for the past two years. My son absolutely loved and still loves Ms Christi and misses her class dearly. She is attentive and her communication to parents is absolutely stellar! As a previous teacher, it is amazing she can go above and beyond with updates and pictures on a constant basis. Mrs Bev, the director, is hands down amazing. She goes out of her way to give every child the attention they need and greets everyone at the door every single day. Both of my kids attended Living Word Lutheran School for 4 years of preschool and it has been a fantastic experience for both them and us as parents. We absolutely loved our time at Living Word Preschool! Our two boys were there for a total of four years before we moved overseas. I would not have considered a different school- it was the perfect fit for our family. Our children were always eager to walk in the door, and were all smiles leaving each day! After several months of having my child attend here is my honest opinion of this place. If you value religion and arts as a priority it is an OK place for children. However we were looking for a place that also focused more on academics and helped with potty training. My child would come back with lots of arts but was behind on the educational aspect read more

We LOVE Living Word Lutheran Preschool! It is a gem and has the best director and teachers. It is small and like a family. My daughter was more than ready for Kindergarten after being at Living Word for two years. We will send our second child here this fall. The school is a wonderful place for little kids to learn in a loving, caring environment.
