The property itself was exactly as described, if not better. It was clean, cozy, and lovingly decorated, with thoughtful touches like fresh honey from their apiary that made it feel special. The location was perfect- great access to Rock City at Lookout Mountain, Ruby Falls and Cloud Land Canyon, and the property is this wonderful tiny house with lots of amenities, perfect for the 4 of us, set back in the woods, very peaceful and quiet at night. The bed was super comfortable, and after a day of hiking the canyon, we slept beautifully. Matthew's Tabby cat was very sweet and we enjoyed he company. Their dog was also fun and our youngest enjoyed playing fetch with him. Matthew and his wife shared their passion for bee keeping with our kids which was cool - they enjoyed learning about all things bees. Matthew and his wife even made up a scavenger hunt for our 2 little ones which was so very kind of them. Overall, Matthew and his wife went above and beyond to ensure we had an amazing experience. There are hiking trails and a stocked fishing pond we were welcome to fish -- all that along with peace and quiet - it was a slice of heaven. Located on top of Sand Mountain with abundant wildlife respected at every turn. The owners have gotten this property designated as a Certified Wildlife Habitat. They did indeed stress there were certain rules for guests due to that, but I thought it was great! A little patio out front was ideal to watch the ducks in the lake while we had our morning coffee. We look forward to going back.
