When people say local cafe with fantastic food, they mean Liz Cafe. This place was lovely, and the only thing better than the food was the service. The avocado breakfast, the coffee, and the ham and cheese croissant were delicious.

Great food, bacon in particular was very fresh, the place is small but has ample seating, very nicely decorated. The service was great, very attentive and friendly staff, I will be coming back.

Great place in Hammersmith near the Shepherds Bush market area. Wanted to try a English breakfast during my trip to London and this place didn't disappoint. Very cute cafe and friendly service. Breakfast was very delicious and filling and price was very reasonable. Very easy to reach near the Goldhawk station.

We were looking for an English breakfast spot before we left Kensington & found Liz. A small and cozy cafe which is making scratch made dishes. You order at the counter and they bring your food to the table. We ordered a couple of Cappuccinos and ended up adding an extra shot as it was closer to a Latte. Although the English breakfast sounded really good we ended up not ordering it & instead went with a Salmon Benedict, Bacon Benedict & Salmon/Scrambled eggs with toast. All with a side of Cumberland Sausage. The Hollandaise was quite rich and plentiful. The scrambled eggs were fluffy and cooked to perfection. Bacon, Smoked Salmon & Sausage were all tasty. On the way out we saw a pan of freshly baked lasagna that looked so good. Looks like a great lunch spot also. Our servers were upbeat and friendly & took care of us.

Eggs Benedict with ham and one with bacon. Fresh orange juice.

Lovely little breakfast stop. Very friendly staff with fantastic service. Eggs Benedict with either ham or bacon were great. Fresh juices and smoothies also yummy. Small and cozy environment. Highly recommend

My hotel, the Dorsett nearby, wanted £15 for their breakfast buffet. No thanks! Luckily Liz Cafe is less than half a block away with a variety of breakfast dishes under £7. Friendly staff and charming and cosy atmosphere. Unfortunately, as with every European cafe, the outdoor seating area is always overrun with smokers. But luckily there is seating right by the windows. £ 6.50 Salmon Eggs Benedict £ 6.25 Bacon Eggs Benedict £ 6.50 Full English Breakfast Shepherds's Bush is not a tourist area, so lots of locals do eat here. By American standards, portions are smaller and no extra sides included, but this is normal in the UK.

Tasty, affordable, and gets the job done! My first time in London and I wanted to try a full English Breakfast but we wanted something quick so we can get on our way. Liz's cafe was a small little shop to get a quick bite. Service was fast and my meal was yummy. Bacon was delicious and crispy. Better than the nonsense we get in the States. Would definitely recommend!

For my first food stop in London, we visited this cute cafe in Shepherd's Bush. We were very pleased with our food. My girlfriend had a full enough breakfast, I had smoked salmon and eggs. They have plenty dishes full of fresh ingredients with a great ambience. I would definitely recommend both of dishes to anyone. You won't be disappointed even if you go for tea and a pastry while doing some work on your laptop. This place is great for you just reading emails or coming with a few friends to enjoy a meal.

Cute little cafe on the corner of Shepherd's Bush Green, a must-go if you're in the area. The Albanian couple who own the place and their staff are extraordinarily friendly, the homey environment super cozy. Most, if not all, the food is homemade and superb. I tried their veggie lasagna, carrot cake, and latte... all amazing. They have a good range of lunch options and my friend vows by their coffee and meat lasagna. For anyone who also works in the area, this should be the coffee-break place to be :)

Perfect Space to enjoy a conversation or dine alone. The location is within walking distance to most things in Shepard's Bush. With glass front windows and hardwood floors the space feels like you're enjoying a meal in a friends home. The menu is simple and damn good! The Avocado Breakfast was perfect. The fresh pastries and latte were equally amazing. You should eat here!

English breakfast with a macchiato and a latte.

Conveniently located near Dorsett Shepherd's Bush and Shepherd's Bush Green. It is a very cute cafe which seems to be family-owned and operated. Love the rustic tables and simple yet decor. We stopped in for a late breakfast (1pm) after we checked out of our hotel. English Breakfast was really good (and decently priced at £6.50) and the chicken and mozzarella sandwich hit the spot. Also had a latte and macchiato which were quite good. Definitely recommend and will return again.

Decent food in Kensington. Is affordable. I had smoked salmon breakfast. They like you to pay exact change but it was my first day here so that's a little ridiculous and they should be more tolerant.

Very lovely little café with homemade cakes, casseroles and sandwiches

First real English meal and what an impressive beginning to the trip!…read more Service was so friendly and efficient in a relaxing and casual ambiance. The dishes we got were sooo hearty and reminded us of comfort food. REBELLION BEER BATTERED FISH AND CHUNKY CHIPS Crispy layer of beer batter with just enough salt and pepper to go with the tender bite of fish. The chunky chips were crispy on the outside and had a bite similar to mashed potatoes, so delicious. The lemon tartar sauce went very nicely with it. That fresh squeeze of lemon juice over everything was just Chef's Kiss. SLOW ROASTED LAMB RUMP The lamb was roasted for six hours in red wine and shallots for a delicately, earthy flavor. The meat just melted in your mouth with every forkful. The lamb was served on a tasty bed of fluffy, garlic mashed potatoes. The red wine sauce drizzled on complimented everything perfectly. RIBEYE STEAK Classic steak done right with all the right searing and flavoring. Every bite was juicy and delicious. The roasted vine tomatoes were a great touch. The fries were done English style, so tasty. All I can say is: so English and so damn good.

Ingested Broken glass!! Do not eat here!…read more Last Monday morning I went to meet a friends for brunch. I ordered a bottle of water and the server brought glasses for the table. I was served a glass with shards of broken glass at the bottom! I didn't notice that the glass I had been served was chipped and poured my bottle of water into the glass. When I finished drinking I had pain in my mouth and pulled out several sharp small grounds and shards of glass which had cut up my mouth and lodged themselves at the back of my jaw. It was absolutely horrifying and very painful. I spoke with the manager and he apologised saying the cups they use are made of recycled glass and are prone to chipping!! I was horrified. Management knows these cups break easily and are knowingly endangering their patrons. I told them how dangerous this was and told them to pull all the glasses off the floor and check them immediately. We were the only customers in the restaurant at that time but all the employees were just standing around looking confused. He offered to call an ambulance which he then said refused to come so I had to take myself to the hospital and spend the day in A&E and then home observation for the week. This experience has been so distressing. It has been a week now since this incident occurred and shockingly no one from management, owner or their legal has contacted me to follow up. The manager had requested that I emailed them to let them know how I was doing and to follow up and have received no response or acknowledgment they have not even offered a formal apology, or compensation of any kind. Not even a drink voucher (not that I would use it) No gesture of respect for the risks to my health or trauma they have caused. This is the worst experience I have ever had in a restaurant! As a local I pride myself on supporting the wonderful restaurants of Chiswick but I just can't believe this has happened. Im just glad I wasn't dining with my children could you imagine if my six year old had drunk from this glass. There are so many amazing restaurants in our neighbourhood. In the interest of your own health and safety do not dine here!

I can only speak for the cocktails but seriously....isn't that REALLY what matters?…read more I have such hard cocktail boners for this place. Seeing as my husband is a mixologist, it sort of ruined cocktails for me. I know better now. And Charlotte's drinks make me swooooon. Not only does the bar staff have a direct hand in sourcing and selecting all their spirits, but they also write their own cocktail menu (updated every month) and even create some of their ingredients in house...including their bloody mary mix. YES. My hubs fell in love with their Illegal Negroni. I had the One Nest for Two and the English Country Garden. If you don't see something you like, their bartenders will make something up. A true cocktail lovers bar. And with its laid back, candle-lit vibe and chill music, it's definitely a few notches cooler than any spot on the high road.

Honestly the only place to go in west london.. Perfect for pretty much any occasion - cocktails…read morewith the girls, a family Sunday roast, a first date, a birthday.. Amazing food and cocktails.. The menu changes on a fairly regular basis to reflect seasonal produce but pretty much every dish I have tried here has been amazing. Also: Make sure to try out their Gin school on a Monday night as well, they have the gin distillers introducing you to the ingredients and distilling process of their brand while you enjoy a complimentary G&T or gin martini!! What's not to like!!
