I later booked despite not hearing from her because I saw the open time slots disappearing. After booking still no response besides the automatic appointment confirmation via the site. I then called her and left a voicemail, still no response. I had to message her on instagram explaining I booked but would like to go over the details. There was no apology for her lack of communication, no enthusiasm to go over the details. She just said i should have put what I wanted when I booked. I asked what the setup would be and what to bring/expect but she didn't answer my questions. When it got closer to the appointment she still hadn't gone over anything just said she could do my color scheme and had two walls for the family shoot. Going by the pictures on her website I was expecting a fun person with great ideas to make my daughter's 1 year old photoshoot to life. I can't exactly remember how I found Liz but I don't care, I'm just glad I did!…read more We booked a studio newborn session for our first little one and the entire experience and final product was more than we could have hoped for. It started with a lovely phone call for us to get to know each other and for Liz to get to know what our goal was for the photos. In our case the studio session was the right call. Our little one had some minor issues that left our hospital discharge date in limbo but Liz was so kind and accommodating in working with us to find the best day. It was a relief because it allowed my husband to join and worked around his crazy schedule. The studio is warm and welcoming. Liz is such an easy and gentle person and it was such a pleasure to chat with her during the session. Being a nurse and having little ones herself made me feel extra safe handing over my two week old for a couple of hours. She was really receptive to our wants for the photos. I paid $450 for professional photography for my daughter's first birthday, a once-in-a-lifetime celebration that cost over $7,000. I trusted this photographer to capture such a special occasion, but the final gallery was extremely disappointing. Many of the photos were taken from low, unflattering angles, had poor composition, or were unnecessarily repetitive. Several important moments were either missed or not captured well. What was even more disappointing was the response afterward. When I raised my concerns, the photographer claimed that the angles had been "edited to eye level." That explanation made little sense. While editing can adjust exposure, color, and cropping, it generally cannot change the original camera angle or perspective. A photo taken from a low angle cannot realistically be transformed into an eye-level shot through editing alone. The photographer also failed to avoid obvious reflections in people's eyeglasses. Can you imagine paying $450 for professional photos, only to receive images in which bright white glare obscures people's eyes and faces? Instead of acknowledging the problems or offering a reasonable solution, Mary, the owner, refused to take responsibility or provide a refund. This was my daughter's once-in-a-lifetime first birthday, and after spending over $7,000 on the celebration, I expected professional-quality photographs that would preserve those memories. Unfortunately, both the quality of the photographs and the customer service fell far below my expectations.
