My daughter and I made an appointment for her birthday for herself a couple of friends and I to get manicures and pedicures ( party of 4) . When we arrived we had our temperatures taken. It seemed to be off to a good start. They had two sides to the salon. The side they set us on the side with only 3 chairs. Since I needed to drive I asked to get my nails done first. Another customer with her daughter came in and wanted their nails done. They decided to put them on the same side with us. ( not a big deal but they did have another side with only 1 customer over there) I said numerous times I wanted a full set with regular polish. I didn't want gel polish. I sit down and the woman asks which gel polish I get. I said no I want acrylics with polish. So she made me switch with someone else. The gentleman who did my nails first started with using a grinder on my normal nails to grind my nails down. put on the acrylic tips, and cut down the nails. My left hand was left much longer than my right hand. While he was putting the acrylic on another customer came in. He finished putting the acrylic on my nails not very neatly because you can see where the "fake" nails bulge out and the tips go back in. I wanted a square nail not rounded but wound up with rounded corners and very uneven nails. I was moved to the pedicure station so that the walk in customer could be take care of. I figured someone would paint my nails and then do my pedicure. Nope.. I sat there waiting and waiting. Meanwhile everyone else in my party already had their pedicures and nails done. I had to wait for BOTH people who walked in after us to get their nails done before mine were even started. The water in the pedicure bath was cold. I was asked if I chose my color I did. Then I was asked if I wanted gel polish again I did not. I asked if they could fix the issue I was told after my pedicure was finished. At this point my neither my manicure nor pedicure was done but the others were done so they asked for payment. I gave them my card for payment and cash for "tip" she asked if I wanted to put more on my card for tip. I said no that's why I gave cash, she asked about 3 different times as if what I gave wasn't enough.. What we were charged was above and beyond what was on their menu for pricing. the girls did get gel polish but they didn't use light to set the toes only the fingers. The towels used during my pedicure looked dirty and definitely stained. Finally, I get my toes done and they take me back to manicure seat. File my nails down now they are uneven not straight rounded in some places but we've already been there for 2 hours and my nails still not painted. They do paint my nails after trying to convince me to switch to gel polish or get a design. I did tell them I thought it was rude that they helped the woman who came in after us and had her out the door but shoved me aside. I found it extremely rude. So then I get a business card that says $5 off next time. I guarantee you I will not be going back to this "salon" I didn't see the nail tools either freshly opened or cleaned. ( not exactly sure what their protocols are) It's been 7 years since I had my finger nails done, and a couple years since I had a pedicure. last time I went to a different salon all nail tools were freshly opened. Worst experience ever. I'm going to have to get my nails fixed because they actually look awful. I'm not typically one to complain, but I found the service rude and rushed. I also was quite upset About being shoved aside for other customers when we made appointments for our manicures and pedicures.. and the $5 off next time after spending over $200 for 3 of us was rather insulting especially since I'll need to spend more money to go get my nails redone because of how un-esthetically appealing they look. I won't be going back there and I won't be recommending them. I like supporting local businesses BUT when customers are treated poorly and you can't be certain of cleanliness. It's quite sad. Also the quick wave of whatever they for sanitizer wasn't exactly the ideal way to sanitize after customer's especially during Covid. Again I'm not one who normally gets upset about little things but their attention to other customers when we had made a reservation was definitely rude. Also who asks for payment and tip when the service hasn't even been preformed... read more
