The owner, Janine, greeted me and was very polite. In hindsight, I should have scheduled services with her, but alas, I did not. My facial was fragmented and didn't flow. A cleanser, then a serum, then a toner- which removed the serum? All over the place, without much rationale. I've had facials all over the country- without much of a miss. This.was.the.worst. Then comes the brows, after the concerning and confusing facial. My brows were tinted and then waxed. The tint left me looking like Ms. Trunchbull. No way I was going out in public with those on my face. Upon closer inspection my brows were haphazardly waxed- which I couldn't tell with the mass of tint still on my skin. Arrived home, attempted all the tricks to remove the tint, with little success. I'll be headed to another salon next week to correct the $40 attempt at brow shaping. Update: I did get a text back Michelle this morning to schedule services, she didn't want to respond to my texts late at night (understandable). It seemed like a one off hectic day for her, so I'll give her the benefit of the doubt. She has wonderful feedback otherwise. I would come back to her for services because she is very meticulous with her work and I'd rather support small business than the big chains anyways. Before she had even sat me down, I asked her if this is something she could do. She said "yes, I can do that". I came in for a fill-in and color change. She filed my nails, but I noticed she didn't ask me what shape I wanted or if I wanted my nails filed down. She did ask me how many colors I wanted my nails. I said "5". She said "how many colors?" I said"it's a different color each finger, so 5?" She said "too many colors" I said, "oh okay, 3?" And she didn't respond. My sister came over to check on how my nails were. I showed her the picture I wanted and she said it's cute. The nail tech said "too many colors" to which my sister said "it's not too many" to which the nail tech didn't reply. She told my sister to go grab the neon nail display and bring it over. Didn't ask her - told her to do it. The nail tech told me to pick from there. I was thinking "great this is exactly the colors I wanted". So I picked 3 because I thought that's what we had agreed on. She asked how many and I told her. She said "too many, pick 2" I was like "....um okay" and picked 2. She walks away, comes back with a basket of the detail nail polishes. She tells me to pick from there. I said "I want neon colors." These colors were purples, reds, whites, etc. not what I was wanting. She said "it's a design so it needs to be one of these" I replied, "I thought I was picking from this neon display you told me to pick from" she sighed and asked what colors I picked the two and she walked away. Finished the job, I paid $60 and gave her a 20% tip. After leaving, I started noticing that my old yellow polish is still on my nails. They're different shapes, the French tip is messy. Less than a week later, my nails started lifting. I can usually make my nails last an entire month!! Less than a week is insane. I tried gluing a few back on but it was a waste. Incredibly disappointed and will not be returning.
