Recently my US passport needed to be renewed so this photo studio was one of the few places that…read morestill open on Sundays after 4 PM. The photo studio is located inside AR Galleria (the main galleria entrance was locked on Sunday afternoon so I had to enter through the side door via Cafe Lowell). [Parking]: Easy and free parking in the large plaza. [Reservation]: I was able to call and book a same-day reservation on Sunday. Visitors can also make an online reservation via the studio's website. Upon arrival, I scanned a QR code and signed a waiver before the owner started my 5-minute photo session. [Price]: $27 for 4 physical copies and digital copies to download via email (must be downloaded within 7 days). I did not initially receive an email, but I emailed the owner the next day about the download link and he sent a follow-up email with the link within a few hours (the email was hidden in my spam folder). The email included all the pictures taken during the session. The shop also makes photo keychains ($4+ each). The studio also offers 15-minute and 30-minute self-portrait sessions. [Studio]: While I was here for a passport photo, the studio mainly operates as a self-portrait studio where customers take photos of themselves. This small studio has all the props and camera setup needed to make it happen. [Process]: The owner had me sit on a chair and took 7 pictures. Out of the 7 pictures taken, I was able to choose one for him to print while the rest of pictures can be downloaded via a link in an email. It was more important to receive a digital copy because the US passport renewal process requires applicants to upload a digital photo rather than submit a physical copy. I was able to use one of the digital copies and now that same picture will be on my passport for the next 10 years before the next renewal timeline. [Conclusion]: Overall it was an efficient process and I was able to walk in and out within 15 minutes. However, it would be helpful for the studio to provide additional entry instructions on the website when the main galleria entrance is locked.

The videos look amazing, and my wife and I have been watching them nonstop for the past few days. You can provide your own HDD or SSD for the file transfers, or he can provide them for you. I tossed all the videos into a Plex server and stream them to my 75 inch 4K TV and they all look fantastic. Audio completely flawless and in sync too. Many of them were upscaled to 1080p and both picture and audio are great. If you're into audio/video stuff you'll have some great conversations with him. If not, don't sweat it and he'll take care of everything... you don't have to worry about a thing. Mike is super nice dude, does a great job, and his pricing is fair too. I will absolutely go back if I can dig up more old tapes that need digitizing. Some of these tapes have friends and family members who have passed away and these videos are quite literally priceless to us. You have no idea how happy my wife and I are. I originally reached out via YELP and he responded within 24 hours with upfront pricing, and exactly what I needed to bring if I wanted a USB conversion. He told me he would have the job done within a week, and he delivered in less than a week. I suggest you either call or message them with what you need, and they will tell you upfront if they can or cannot do it and how much it would cost etc.
