If I could give ZERO stars I would. DO NOT SHOP HERE!!! They promised me a discount in writing and then backed out saying they couldn't do it. I worked with Joe (Josiah) Slocum. Picked out my flooring when it came to ringing it up he was newer and said he didn't know how to apply the discount. Said once his manager got finished he would get him to refund it and I could just pay now. I had a Dr appointment so I agreed if he could put that in writing. Now they are telling me they can't honor it, probably hoping I'd just keep the order anyway. Such bad business practices. The old bait and switch routine. I am in sales myself and would never not honor something I put in writing for a customer. I will never shop here again. And I recommend you not shop here either. Walking into LL to pick up my order. Ken asked if he could help me. Told him I needed to pick up my order. He goes to the computer, pulls up the order and directs me to the processor which displayed an incorrect amount. Then, out of the blue, Ken screamed "PUT YOuR CARD IN!.!" This caught me by surprise. I said it displayed the wrong amount. He screamed "IT WILL CORRECT". Put my card in, guess what? Wrong amount. I told him he shouldn't scream at me as I am the customer. He became red, got up, and asked a co-worker to correct the problem. What a nasty guy. Yes, I am a woman. Yes, I instal hardwood floors. Get used to it, Ken. He later apologized.....not for screaming, but for charging the wrong amount. Apologized from the other end of the store. Wimp! read more

Horrible customer service. Tried to get a credit for a $200 charge for a 2-day job that only took one day. After 2 months of getting the run-around and being directed to 6 different people, I said forget it. In addition, they are rude. Will never go there again, and will certainly never recommend them to anyone. In fact, quite the opposite. read more

We bought a lot of vinyl plank flooring. Installed it ourselves the other month and it's holding up great and it's beautiful! Friendly staff, great product. Vinyl plank is a very durable flooring option for dogs. I love it, thank you! read more

I purchased my $6,000 floor from lumber liq, after the placement I noticed plies where there was ripples in the wood, cracks in the wood, and other defects. The spaces between the boards was a quarter plus a dime width. I have to vacuum between the boards because you can see the dirt particles I had a private inspector come down, and this was all within tbe,year. He was from inspect solutions a company they always use, dare they not pass a floor, they would loose lumber lq business, at first he said it was the installer, then the installer proved them wrong, then they finally said ot was the change of temp in my home which goes from 68 winter to 70 or 72summer. I have called several times and spoke to 3 people all of whom said they would call back and haven't. I will NEVER, NEVER recommend them. The local news stations have gotten involved and find it ridiculous Lumber liquidators warranties mean absolutely NOTHING. I have followed their care instructions for the floor,all agree its nothing i have done. Stopped by to look for flooring ideas/options for my home. I have two areas that need different flooring. Salesman asked if I had any questions. Asked a question about a specific type of flooring they didn't carry (assumed that would be the case as what I'm looking for is rare, but though I would ask anyway). He gave me the name of another store, but then said "it's VERY expensive". I know what I'm looking for is rare, and likely pricey. But that shouldn't be his problem. When I started to explain that I didn't need much so cost wasn't a big deal (I can afford it), he cut me off mid sentence twice and said "it's VERY expensive" and then just stared at me. Pretty sure he sized me up as a stupid girl who doesn't know what she is doing. I still hadn't covered the fact that I needed flooring for my kitchen...but at that point he had blown me off and stopped talking to me. So I left. Someone else will get my money. I just purchased around $12,000 worth of Bellawood flooring and installation charges from the Lumber Liquidators in Rochester NY. I have purchased before from this store and thought they represented a good value for the products they supply. This time around I am completely dissatisfied with the manager at Lumber Liquidators because he stole(my opinion) $50 from me on a $12,000 order. When I originally purchased the Bellawood Brazilian Cherry, the wood was on sale for $4.99/sq ft. As I was having the wood installed by Lumber Liquidators, I had to have the job size estimated by the Lumber Liquidators installer. The installer told me that he might need another two boxes of the wood and the store employees told me that there was no restocking fee if Lumber Liquidators did the installation. So, I purchased the two additional boxes at the regular price of $5.99/ sq ft. After the job was finished, I had four boxes of the flooring left over. I guess my measurement was more accurate than the installers. I returned three of the cartons of flooring and asked the manager to remove it from the higher priced material I had purchased. His response was that he had given me the sales price on the other cartons. We had discussed this when I bought the extra material, but he said he would have to get approval from his manager. As a result all of the flooring was returned at $4.84/ sq ft. So much for no restocking fee. When my VISA bill arrived this week, there was no refund on the wood so it turns out that I paid the full price even though the manager assured me that he had the sale price applied. I don't appreciate being lied to particularly by a store manager. It doesn't make any sense why the manager would try to pad the sale by $50 on a $12,000 order. I don't know why anyone thinks this is good business practice. I contacted the Lumber Liquidators customer care centet and they told me I would have to work out the problem with the store so they were not help at all. All, Lumber Liquidators did by stealing the $50 from me was to lose a customer that still needs about 1,000 sq ft of flooring to complete the project. read more

Had a horrible experience and am sure if I was a man this would not have been the case. I want to replace my dining room and kitchen floors with a waterproof wood floor. I received a quote and had to meet the 1 installer they have named Dan. He showed up 3 hours early. Was annoyed that my house has clutter. Mind you I was in the middle of clean out closets and getting summer stuff put away. It was a messy. He totally refused to give me a quote and won't install the floor. I told him to include removing the dining room carpet as I was not 100% sure if I would be able to have someone remove it. I would get all the furniture out. Apparently the possibility of removing the carpet was too much for him to do. I am so sick of having men refuse to work on my city property. But this is the lamest excuse yet. Pink Rose gave me $4000 quote for a $2000 and at least admitted they didn't want to work in the city prefers suburbs. This guy just wasted 2 weeks of my time by refusing to submit the install cost. read more

When I was renovating my house I was putting new hardwoods in. I was told by Lumber Liquidators that I needed padding for under the hardwoods. After meeting with 3 floor installers it was told to me I did not need the padding. I called the company and was told because it was after 30 days I could no longer return the padding. Now I have thousands of dollars of unopened padding sitting at my house. read more

I needed something cheap for an income property. I had 0 expectations going into this, but they had some flooring on sale that fit the bill. I ordered online to pick up in store. I got a call from the store on the day the shipment was due stating that the shipment had been delayed and I was shocked. I was completely blown away that they would take it upon themselves to call and let me know this before I took the 1.25 hour trip to pick it up, but I was glad they did. I decided to double my order because I wasn't necessarily in a hurry. When I called back the following week to verify it came in, not only did they recognize my name when I called, but they were familiar with my order. They double checked and it was there. I made the trip to pick it up. The sales associates were as friendly as they come. They were upbeat and personable. One of them pointed out to me that I might have ordered the wrong under layment, and sure enough he was right. They got me headed in the right direction, and on the road. One of the tools I bought at that time broke a few weeks later, and the next time I was near they replaced it with no hassle. And to top it all off, the flooring installed easy, was packaged nice and not damaged, and looked great. 8 months later is has been more durable than expected. read more
