First, let me say the store manager was fantastic!! He did everything in his power to help us. Ordered over 800 sq ft of LVP for our commercial building; contractor went to install it, flooring would not assemble correctly. My husband tried (a retired contractor, has installed many LVP floors, found flooring was defective). Contacted store, told to bring a sample back to the store. Store manager tried, stated flooring was defective, file a claim. Told to send samples back to "headquarters" where they tested it and found it "perfect, nothing wrong, contractors broke it, etc, etc, all the while telling me how much of this particular flooring is being returned as defective every week and it is always the contractors fault. Filed a claim with the attorney general in our state, they said we have a valid claim. They have contacted the company twice and no response. We returned all the defective flooring, they kept 25% as a restocking fee, and we got a reduced refund. We will NEVER work with this company again. read more

Someone at work recommended this store because they have stairs that match the flooring. We went there almost every week for six months because we couldn't decide on what we wanted. They let me have countless samples and was always very helpful. We ended up buying 1600 square ft of rigid vinyl planks, all my stairs, risers, vent grills to match. We hired our own contractor. From what I noticed of the reviews it's the contractors that most people aren't happy with. They are all independent contractors. I wouldn't blame this store for it. We also had to go the Olympia, Tukwila, and Seattle stores for some rim. They were all as equally helpful. No "sales" was required, because I knew what I wanted based on a previous purchase and Jacob (Kenneth) Woods placed my order. After three weeks, I called and was told my order was ready. When I arrived the guy in the office looked up my order on the computer and told me the order was ready and to drive around to the back of the building to the garage door. In the back, the garage door was open, and a load of flooring was on the forklift. Deep inside the warehouse I saw the back of a guy who I thought was the same guy from the office (both were dressed in all black) and I called out to him asking if he had a measuring tape. The guy in the warehouse turned around and slowly walked over mumbling something and at that time, I noticed that it was not the same guy from the office. His first communication with me was to tell me to "Calm down - you don't even know who I am" in a rude, condescending and passive aggressive manner. I was taken aback and paused for a moment - and then I said I'm not upset I just thought this was my order and I wanted to measure the boxes because I have a small car. He again said "Calm down - I'm going to get the order, they are boxes this size (pointing to a smaller box on the floor) and I'll get your boxes and will load them in your car" and again told me to "Calm down" in the same passive aggressive manner. I was confused and again told him I was not upset or angry, as I stepped back from the garage door to the passenger side of my car. He unloaded the forklift and went into the warehouse to get my order. When he came back with my flooring I tried to change the subject and he told me to "Calm down" again and I said I was just making general conversation, and at this time I told him to "chill". To which he responded, "You don't need to tell me to chill" and "One person's perception is different than others". I stepped away from him. As he began loading my vehicle I cautioned him, "Watch your head, my back hatch door is pretty low", he stopped and just looked at me, shook his head and then continued loading and he continued to ramble on about "perception" and "interpretation" of "people's words and actions". I said "I'm not listening to you", and asked him to "stop talking to me", and to "please load my car", and he said: "I'm just making general conversation like you were" and "What do you want me to do?" I said "I just want you to stop talking to me and load my car", and he continued to ramble on as he loaded my car. I put the underlayment into the front passenger side of my car to expedite the loading process and he continued to ramble on. I moved to the front of my car and he continued adding: "Oh, so now you're the victim, huh?" I stayed at the front of my car until it was loaded, drove to the office and asked the kid in the office what was the name of the kid in the warehouse and he said "Why, what's wrong?" At that time the kid from the warehouse entered and said his name was Keith. They were the only two employees in the building. Let me just say I'm a 75 year old; 5'2" great-grandmother, not some 6' something guy who might be "perceived" as threatening! This kid was, plain and simple, a passive aggressive bully. I called Lumber Liquidators Headquarters, Customer Relations, in Virginia and the Customer Call Center employee said "this is not the customer experience we expect for our customers". No surprise. I asked him for the store owner's contact information (phone/email) and he said they don't have that information, but he would call the Regional Manager and inform him of my complaint, and that the Regional Manager would get back to me. In addition, I sent letters by mail to both the store owner/manager and the Lumber Liquidators Headquarters Customer Care Relationships Director, Angie Vanquez. I have not heard from anyone and I don't expect that I will. In Hindsight: I should have just stopped the loading process when this kid began his rantings and driven around to the office - taken a video of what had been loaded up to that point, with the kid in the office in the video, stating how many boxes had been loaded and how many boxes/underlayment still needed to be loaded. And then make an appointment with Jacob Wood, the salesperson (and bring a witness); and have him load my car...with no interaction with the kid in the warehouse. read more

In October 2023 we purchased over 600 SF of 10.5 mm ReNature Montado Cork Flooring 11.61 in. Wide x 35.63 in. Long which allegedly has a 50 year warranty. The guys at the store were helpful and gave good customer service, I have no problem with them. We have installed numerous click together floors, including a cork floor from LL Flooring. We brought the boxes inside and let them rest for over a week to let it acclimate, then paid to have it installed. Within a week we were finding chipping and marring on some of the pieces. After watching the floor continue to chip and degrade over about 6 weeks we contacted LL Flooring. They sent out an inspector who said the product is fine and blamed the installation, even though there was marring and chipping in the center of panels, not only the edges. My wife even had a splinter of the surface of a flooring panel lodge into her foot. For our safety and our pets, we need to scrap this floor and replace it, 3 months after installation. LL Flooring corporate said they wouldn't do anything, not even store credit to replace the floor. These people are despicable, and this is far and away the worst major purchase I have ever made. NEVER BUY THIS OR ANY PRODUCT FROM LL FLOORING, EVER! read more

If you're installing the flooring yourself, then I'd say L&L should be on your shopping list. But, if you want the flooring install by a so-called "professional", then I'd say find yourself a installer first and then let them coordinate the project ... you'll end up much happier working through that contractor. With L&L, you buy the flooring first and they don't notify the the installer till after the floors are delivered to you home. Then the installer calls you and schedules the installation time ... in my case, from the time I purchased the floor to the completion of the project was 7 weeks. So, the flooring sat in my house close to 4 weeks before being installed, In the end, I was not happy with the process and I am definitely not hwith the quality of work from the installer provided by L&L. read more

The entire process for getting wood floors was great. From the first visit to LL flooring to the final installation. Ordering, signing, paying, installing (Vlad and his crew from Everett), communication. It all went great. Floors look amazing too. There was a little hiccup getting the actual floors delivered in the timeframe expected, but they got here the same day, just later than expected. Installers were scheduled right away, and we had a large portion of our house done nine days after we received our shipment (two days to remove old floor and install new). Incredibly disappointed in the communication and staff with Lumber Liquidators. The only positive was the actual flooring materials which ultimately were returned to the warehouse. Poor and deceptive communication and trying to add substantial "required" materials to the installation after all inspections had been done and work was scheduled to start in a few days. The additional "required" materials were due to "industry standards". Again, the inspection had long ago been completed and absolutely nothing had changed within our home since the inspection. The additional materials cost would have been in excess of $1,000 then the labor cost on top of that. All this for a 950 sq. ft. hardwood installation in a single story home. Sheesh..... I don't know if this guy was having a really really bad day but I've never experienced such rude service in my life. I walk in at 9am, no one greets me until I walked around and said hi. 3 guys, two younger looking so I don't know if they actually work there or if they're interns. No other customers in the store, the old guy at the desk keeps doing what he's doing, which didn't bother me because I'm still looking around. He goes to the back office with the two younger guys, comes back alone, stands there, and stares at me. Doesn't say a word. So I proceed to tell him what I'm looking for, he doesn't say anything but spewing out an attitude. So I was like, ok I'll go ahead and talk. I tell him that I'm looking for Vinyl or Laminate but need something that is in stock, I understand that stuff is hard to find in stock nowadays but I need something quick. He proceeds to say NOTHING but just looking at me, so I just look back at him waiting for an answer. He rolls his eyes and says with a bad attitude "well I would basically have to look up ever single thing for you to know what's in stock". Just a damn rude. You could swear I was interrupting his puzzle building time at home, like what the hell. I'm sorry I'm asking for service?? ‍ So I ask him if it's a good time to be in the store, should I come back later because it seems like he doesn't really want to help me. He says "well I am alone here today and I do have other things to do but go ahead". Like WHAT? The customer service here is horrible. After walking in and waiting several minutes for the sales person to finish the fishing story he was sharing with another person I began to feel ignored. No can I help you or even a hello was uttered. He seemed more interested in not doing the basic of customer service than anything else. I figured I'd wait a few more minutes to get the flooring and countertop material I needed but as I was doing so another couple walked in a what do you know, he greeted them and said the magic words, "I'll be with you in a moment". I placed an order with the Tacoma lumber luquidators on 12/1/18. It was a super easy process for them to TAKE my money, however, the entire process since then has been hell. I paid the extra $25 for their separate installer company to come and measure everything I needed and get me a quote for labor. My flooring material is one of lumber liquidators "luxury" vinyls, but does not have the attached pad. So the installer guy made sure to also measure for the separate mat to go under the floors. So I made sure to order everything as I was directed. It's important to know, that these floors are going into my rental property. So time is of the essence or I lose money on rental income. So the first hiccup was the matching treads taking a month longer than I was told. I was promised that my materials would be in at the beginning of January. Well by the END of January I had to cancel the treads and simply switch to flooring and bullnoses because those were in stock. Annoying, but still fine. I'm a reasonable person. So I chose not to use their installer company and instead used a different flooring guy. He installed a very similar vinyl plank in my second home, and it's looks great. Literally zero complaints. Same guy installed these lumber luuidator floors in my rental house. They looked amazing at first, and then we had a sunny day. Well. That sunny day didn't hurt the other brand of vinyl in my new house, but the lumber liquidator brand buckled everywhere it was hit by direct sunlight. There was plenty of extra left on the perimeters for expansion when installed. I saw it go in, and also, same instillation methods at my other house, same sun, but no buckeling. When I called lumber liquidators the sales associate immediately knew the issue I was talking about. She even said IT WAS A COMMON ISSUE. That these floors were susceptible to direct sunlight and needed to be glued down. So....why then was I told to buy a separate mat?? If it needed to be glued to to subfloors then clearly I wouldn't need the mat that is used for floating floors. This associate then said to send pictures to their store email. So I did. No response. When I went into the store to follow up I was told my a different associate that they don't even handle warranty issues in store. That I had to call the 1-800-hardwood number. Okkkkk. So I call this number, fill out the forms they ask for. Send them the photos they need. AND NOTHING. I was contacted by an associate to tell me that Omar would be handling my case, and would call me as soon as he was back. We I waited. Omar took about a week to actually call, which unfortunately I missed. I've tried calling Omar back. I never get an answer. I've left voicemails with Omar. No answer. I've even tried calling the store again to see if they will handle it. When they finally did answer the phone I was told to give my name and number and they'd call me back. So now I've paid thousands of dollars to have defective floors installed and I cannot rent out this house because this company refuses to deal with this issue. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THEM read more

Due to construction remodel delays at my home, the product sat in my home for over a year. I finally installed the flooring last week and it came out BEAUTIFUL!!! It was easy to install and working with the staff at Lumber Liquidators was an excellent experience. I had to return to the store to purchase an additional bullnose molding piece to complete the project. After our refrigerator flooded our kitchen and doing major damage to the floor we needed to replace our floor. We went to Tacoma Lumbar Liquidators for research and were greeted immediately. We were given great information and all our questions were answered. Even though we went there just for information and ideas we were given so much information and such a great deal we ended up purchasing our floor at that time. Rochell was our sales lady and was extremely knowledgeable on the products. I put 1/2 down on the floor and paid another large amount 2 months later, which at that time the price had dropped and Rob informed me of the price difference and changed the amount due so we save an additional amount of money. During this 2+ month period I called several times with questions and was always greeted with a "no problem" attitude. My questions were answered and I was put at ease and told to call again if I had additional questions. Even the guys that loaded the flooring into my trailer were kind and funny. I recently did business for the first time with Lumber Liquidators. My first contact with them went smooth and the sales associate was very customer service oriented. I ordered my flooring with him. When I called to see if my order was in, the sales dept was very rude and in the end said come pick it up. I came in and picked it up, not impressed with their customer support. When I returned with my product and unloaded it, they shorted me one box. It took me 3 days to get a hold of someone on the phone as I kept getting voice mails and leaving messages until finally I got thru. I explained I was shorted and wanted 2 more boxes. I visited during a sale with the intention to purchase new laminate. I left with a few boxes of LVP to bring home to help choose a color. I called to place my order then changed my mind a few days later and called again to adjust my order. I made a couple of trips to bring it all home and before I was able to install all of it noticed a substantial price drop online. I called and they kindly adjusted the price, saving me more than $1000. I expected them to not want to honor it or have to drive to the store but they couldn't have been nicer, even sending me a new receipt showing the credit. Finally was able to do it in Sept 16, I bought 30 year guaranteed beautiful 10mm+pad Rolling Falls oak laminate, waterproof, and in stock for a great price (it was on sale). Many problems, went into store to buy hardwood flooring on Aug 4th/2020 finally got it installed October. They took a sizeable deposit, heard nothing, then after going back to store the said nothing could be done with my order until i paid in full? Then we waited again then after going back to store again they said I had not been given a signed install form? We waited again this time I calle installer only to find out he had never seen my order?? then we waited for material to be delivered...had to call store again... after 3 call to store material got delivered now we were told that the wood was to damp to be installed because no one told us or the delivery person to open the boxes of wood so they could dry out? They said my payment would be held until job was done but we found out the charged me car in Aug leaving me with two months of interest charges. We stopped by Lumber Liquidators just to see what kind of flooring they had and what the prices were. We found a pattern that we were really interested in so we asked about installation. The sales person who was working with us in the showroom told us that they could have someone come out and measure the space, and offer advice on flooring types room to room and finally the cost. Oh, but wait.... it'll cost you $25! Um, ok... Most companies offer free estimates, but whatever. We paid our $25 and the very next day, my husband got a call to set an appointment for the estimate. We set it for 5pm on Monday, Jan. 8th. 5pm came and went; finally at about 5:20 I asked my husband if the appointment was for 5 or 5:30? He confirmed 5:00. We tried calling the person who he set the appointment with, and no answer. He called the showroom and that person couldn't even get my husband's name straight (he asked him FOUR TIMES) let alone help with our appointment issue. Finally, the person who we had set the appointment called, and told my husband that he was double booked, and he didn't have our phone number to call us. Um... you called to set the appointment, and you just called us. Plus there was a LOT of background noise - loud adults, TV and kids. If my work day was ran by how many appointments I had, I would be looking at that first thing in the morning. I would know in the morning that I had double booked myself, and know that I would have to call my client and rebook, not wait until a half hour past the appointment time and come up with some crap story. We felt like we were lied to and just blown off. The ONLY reason I am giving two stars is because when my husband called the next day he got the same person who helped us originally, and he was so apologetic, but ultimately had to refund our $25 because we will not be using Lumber Liquidators for our flooring project. read more

It's just a small store but they have decent choices of hardwood, laminate, vinyl etc. There were only 2 sales persons in the store but they were really helpful and approachable and really tried to cater each customer that were there. There was no pressure of following us around but they were there to answer any questions we have and assist us when we need them. I think one of the sales men's name is Bob. He was really nice and helpful. They sell cheaper floors than home depot or even other online stores. But their choices are in quality. They have good financing options too. read more

This was my first experience in buying flooring, so I don't have anything to compare my experience to. My wife and I wanted to replace the carpet in our common areas with hardwood. After some research, we decided on Lumber Liqidators for their prices. We visited the store and were helped right away. We had an installer at our house in a week to do measurements. We were supposed to get a call with the estimate that never came requiring two calls on my part to get. Our plan was way out of our price range, but they were helpful in figuring out how to scale back our ambitions to meet our budget. 2 weeks later, our boards arrived. They helped us load them and gave us advice on how to ensure we made it home without damaging our valuable hickory. Getting it installed was where things fell apart a bit. We were supposed to get a call to coordinate installation that didn't come after three weeks requiring me to call. They were apologetic and got me in touch with an installer that day. We discussed a time to do the install and he told me he would contact me the next day (Wednesday). That didn't happen and he didn't return my call. After the weekend, I intended to let Lumber Liqidators know that my patience had run out. To my surprise, the installer called that morning letting me know he was at my house and explained he got my number mixed up with someone else. The installation was done in two days and they did a wonderful job using a lot less material than estimated saving us about $800 in material. In summary, you get a good price, but you do need to be patient as the install will take some time, but worth it in the end. read more

They do not communicate and inform their installers at all for the job. They don't assess the floor well in first place. Delays in setting up appointments and then show incapability from the first day for work. They turned down the job after removing our carpets after month and half waiting due to being overbooked. We had informed the mof unleveled floor and need for grinding and leveling. We were even charged for that. After taking days off from work to stay and have the work done, they disappeared in an hour and said can not do this kind of work. We were in limbo for two months with carpets removed and furnitures moved. They accused us of being upset after all this and that is why they did not want to work! we finally had to fire them. They were really good at getting the money ahead of time though. We had to make a complaint to BBB to get our money back for all the headache and inconvenience. Not recommending them at all. The sales people are extremely friendly but the follow-through really sucks! We ordered $5k in flooring and rented a moving truck to pick it up. Upon arrival we were told to go around back and someone would load it. My husband and I (his back was out and I had a previous back surgery) had to load it ourselves. Half of our order was mysteriously missing after we were told the whole thing was there. We got the order home and there were cases damaged by the fork lift. We were told the rest wood be delivered to our home. In the meantime my husband placed orders for quarter round molding which they tried to say we had and we didn't get. Nobody called us to let us know when our second order would ship and it has been about 6 weeks. We've made numerous trips there 50 miles round trip and they can't seem to get it right. I normally don't write bad reviews but 3 strikes you're out! They just seem to keep losing out orders. I purchased my exotic hardwood floor more than a month ago however, my contractor was not able to install it due to his hectic schedule. Today, I went to the store to purchase more woods. When I noticed that the price of the same wood I purchased has gone down to almost $1.50 difference, I thought of asking if they will be able to make price adjustment.
