    Extensive wall art!
    Michaela P.

Stopped by on our way home to Austin after visiting child #2 at Angelo State. We've tried to stop in a few times before, but they've always been closed... Really like the decor. Laid back atmosphere with a few seats at the bar, some high tops, and couches scattered around. Great art on the walls. Met the new owners tried a couple of flights. With 52 taps they have a great selection of craft beer from Texas and beyond. Hubby enjoyed his IPAs and I really liked the selection of Pilsners. The Hoppalope mascot is a little creepy, but won't deter us from coming back for the company and the beer. Insider tip: you can walk around downtown Llano with an open container...who knew?

Cool little brewery in a quaint town. The beer was good and they have a big selection. Too me it needs food options even simple ones.

    Are well behaved dogs allowed?

I have seen well behaved dogs in this establishment. Also, you can setup chairs outside of the front window and enjoy beers while hanging with your pet and watching the world go by.

Great spot for drinks, country dancing, and a little pool sharking, if that's what you're into!…read more We came here for the Hunter's Ball and had a good time, but I was a little disappointed to learn that it was going to be a DJ, instead of a live band. Had some drinks, played some pool, and entered the gun raffle. They have a great dance floor, but there weren't too many single guys to dance with by 9PM...and I asked a lot of guys if they could dance, and they looked like deer in headlights...so we ended up leaving to hit another dancehall. I think there was a big group having a birthday party, so it was a lot of people, but not a lot of dancers. I'd come back here when I want to get out of my small town, but plan to stay late and see who shows up!

Latino musicnight last night was a true disappointment. Owner/DJ/@pardners stating that something…read more"isn't racist" does not negate the intent or the impact it may have had. Repeating that it wasn't racist and defending that behavior doesn't make it acceptable -- it only serves to dismiss legitimate concerns and brush them aside. By definition, racism involves treating someone unfairly, excluding, harassing, or demeaning them based on their race or ethnicity. When the DJ used the phrase "your people," it was clearly exclusionary. When he said, "If I only play Latino music, then the others will leave," it positioned our presence as a problem and created a sense of unwelcome. The situation escalated further when our group was asked to leave -- not for being disruptive, but simply for disagreeing with the music -- while the DJ referred to us as "you and your fucking people." That is not only unprofessional, but also deeply offensive and humiliating. Even your comment about "staying in your own lane" implies exclusion. Why? Because we voiced our disagreement? Because we stood up for ourselves and asked to celebrate Latino culture on a night that was specifically promoted as Latino Night? You've suggested this issue only occurred because your regular DJ wasn't present, but this behavior reflects a broader, ongoing pattern. Regardless of who was in the DJ booth, the treatment of that group was inappropriate and inexcusable. Defending it -- and attempting to shift the narrative -- is deeply disappointing. And respectfully, claiming that you used your own money to promote Latino Night in an attempt to gain sympathy is out of touch. You own a large, well-established club. Investing in the promotion of your own events is a business expense -- not a personal sacrifice. If you'r going to promote a cultural night, you have a responsibility to respect and honor the community you're representing.

They have live music and lovely big trees to sit underneath.

I am a Yard Bar refugee and recently visited Watering Bowl for the first time. I appreciated their…read moreregistration system, which allows you to handle everything online before arrival. However, when I arrived, no one was at the front, so I had to check in at the bar. I wonder how that process works for dogs that may not follow all the rules and are already in the park. The concept is quite similar to Yard Bar, right down to the mulch. The bar offers canned beer, wine, cider, sodas, and water. The restrooms are porta-potties, but the one I used was clean. The park features many large trees and plenty of shade. Three Rufferees were present at all times, and I thought the use of walkie-talkies was a nice touch. The front desk informs the Rufferees of the dogs' names, which is quite cute. I do wish the bar provided water for humans; instead, you have to purchase a can of Liquid Death. There was ample parking available. Overall, it was a decent experience, and we plan to return when we have more time to make the drive.
