A great place to enjoy some even better wine and piano. A fantastic selection of wines hand picked by the owner. The service is superb.

Everything we sampled was fantastic. It reminded us of Borough Market in London, getting to sample all the best cheese from all over the world. We went home with cheese from France, Italy, Spain and Missouri! I can't wait to bring family and friends next time they're in town. Kudos to Jakob -- it was his fifth day on the job and he was a pure joy to speak to and learn from!

The entire experience lasts about 90 minutes, and they did start a few minutes late. They did a good job describing the cheeses, the other paired snacks, and the wine pairings. They also did a good job choosing a good variety of cheeses and giving good pairings. The table crackers are refilled throughout the tasting, but nothing else on the cheese plate is refilled. The setup was not quite what I expected. There are six tables that seat ~six people, so you're going to be sitting with strangers. You start by going around the room and introducing yourself and your favorite cheese, basically as an ice breaker to meet everyone there. It was a little noisy and not intimate for a 2-person outing. It felt much more like a social gathering, and I think it would be better as a friend meeting, group gathering, or even a team-building activity. It's also a good way to meet strangers if that's what you're looking for. You get a discount on in-store purchases, which is a nice bonus. You can also take your leftovers home, so don't feel compelled to eat the entire plate like I did! The only other issue was that cashing out took a long time at the end because their POS system wasn't working well.

Trey and the entire team are so warm, friendly, and genuinely passionate about what they do. I did an olive oil tasting (Thank you, Trey) and she taught me things about olive oil that I never even knew before! The food at the bistro is fantastic. I ordered the pear and prosciutto flatbread, and it was fresh, perfectly balanced, and absolutely delicious. Amazing hospitality, educational, and great food. This place is a Hill Country gem and a must-visit!

We signed up for their guided tasting experience which was amazing! So educational and informative. In addition to the special edition olive oils & balsamic vinegars curated for the tasting, we were allowed unlimited samples of their infused flavored olive oils as well, which were absolutely delicious! This place offers quality olive oils and balsamic vinegars at very reasonable prices. We ended up taking home several bottles- their Sola Stella, Terra Verde, & Sicilian olive oils as well as their Traditional Balsamic and Bourbon Balsamic. After the tasting we enjoyed a light lunch at their bistro, which was delightful. Farm to table, fresh food paired with a bottle of Chardonnay made for the perfect end to our experience. Highly recommend!

This experience is so much more than a tour. It combines a tour with a little bit of education and lots of hands on experiences. The class size is limited so you really get the best experience possible. We started off with a brief intro on making chocolate and different types of chocolate along with some tastings. Then we learned about tempering chocolate, including how to do it at home ourselves, and we got to dip and decorate strawberries. Making caramel pecan turtles came next followed by a lesson on how their chocolate coating machine works. They actually allowed us to run the machine and cover a variety of goodies in chocolate like caramels, graham crackers, and the turtles we made earlier. We learned about their caramel making process then got to participate in making caramel covered popcorn. They plated up a beautiful plate of chocolates that we had made along with decorations they had demonstrated making, which we then were able to pack up and take home with us. This was an all-around wonderful, enjoyable, and unique experience that provided a great change-up from all the wineries and shopping. The staff were all super kind and helpful as well. We highly recommend the factory floor experience at Hill Country Chocolate in Fredericksburg!

We've been driving around town looking for this place and finally found it. It's not hard - it's just a little out of the main drag of tourists spot, Main St. Find Industrial Loop off 290 and you will get there. Once you get there, the choices are enormous and oh, so tasty! We got here before they opened so we had the place to ourselves. We got to taste their sampler wares and that will whet your choco appetite! We went on a buying spree! Some are gifts but most will be our treat for our taste buds! What a yummy place. As for the service, they are as nice and helpful as they can be. Wow and wow!!
