I have been eating from Lloyd's Taco Truck for a long while now and I just have to say.....Unbeatable!!! Best Taco's Ever!! They are not your average Taco or Burrito, they are so much more....I love every item on the menu...especially the Fish Tacos, just had my first Fish Taco ever today and of course it was from Lloyds and it was to die for!!! I highly suggest EVERYONE give them a try....you will not be disappointed! read more

The last two times my husband and I went to the taco truck in East Aurora we have been disappointed. The first time I ordered a chicken burrito which was cold when I bit into it (about 3 minutes after getting it from the truck). I'm pretty sure that the food was already prepared because the truck was not busy at all and literally was prepared in a minute or less. The second time, which is tonight, my husband and I both ordered the special, El Gordo burrito. I immediately said to my husband, the pork tastes burnt. He took another bite and said "you're right". It was all you could taste, deeply dehydrated, burnt tasting pork. I may have well just eaten charcoal. This is unfortunate because our first couple experiences were good. As far as I know, Lloyd is the only local purveyor of anything like an authentic taquería taco. I usually get the pork tacos and squeeze on some lime and rocket sauce. They occasionally have tacos de lengua (if you don't know what that is, then you probably weren't looking for real tacos, anyway). I am always in line when they are in the neighborhood. read more

If I could give 3 1/2 stars, that would be my actual rating - Yesterday my wife and I met Lloyd for our first time and it was a good experience, however not great. There is so much hype built into this food truck, that I tried to go into it with a level head and not expect perfection. After a short wait in line we ordered the tricked out nachos with chicken, a pork burrito, a bean taco and a pork taco. The burrito was large and would most certainly satisfy even those with a large appetite, with a soft flour tortilla, shredded cabbage, moist white rice, mixed finely shredded cheeses, and braised pork this was a quality burrito, if not for the pork being a touch dry. It was certainly of better quality and taste than a Moe's or other similar burrito chain, but not much better taste wise, i'm sure it was better quality wise though. The tricked out nachos topped with large chunks of chicken thigh, fresh jalapenos, pickled onions, a queso sort of sauce were good, but not great, however with a few easy changes they could be great. They are advertised it to come with a chimichurri sour cream and the salsa roja, neither of which really were apparent. The taste of these were good, however eating them was another challenge, as the chicken comes in large chunks. This leaves you with 3 choices, tear them with your fingers, try and shred them with the plastic fork, or somehow individually cram the 5 huge chunks of chicken down your throat. One of those is messy, the other tedious and difficult, the last option is dangerous, so we chose the first 2 and shredded it ourselves over the nachos. This is almost a deconstructed nacho, so if they would only pull the chicken and chop the jalapenos and onions and top the nachos with this mixture, it would be much easier to eat. Like I said, the flavor is great, its already there, you just have to work and get your hands dirty to get there. My wife declared that the tacos were very good, and that is the direction I will be going in next visit. The rocket sauce which they make, and also sell bottled, is AWESOME - it is great on burgers, eggs, basically anything you would use a hot sauce on. It has a unique tangy flavor to it, but with a nice hot peppery backbone. Overall it was a good first visit, some of the negative remarks on other reviews rang true, but that doesn't mean its not worthy, just good solid constructive criticism that can easily be fixed. Of course they are riding quite a wave right now so they really don't have to change anything. I will certainly try Lloyd's again soon, next time I will go with a trio of taco's. read more

I was excited to try their chicken taco since I love chicken and I love tacos and boy was I disappointed. I didn't even finish it after the first bite because the chicken was still pink! I think the lettuce was bad too because it was all rubbery and had brown spots on it. Never going to them again. read more

Lloyd's makes a good taco and burrito. I've been getting them for at least a year. The food is good. The black bean tacos are top notch. The downside is the wait. Even if there aren't many people in line it can still be a good 30 to 40 minutes to get your food. These are not tacos or burritos that you can grad easily. read more

First off, kudos to LTT for starting the food truck trend in these parts. Buffalo was more than ready for it. That said, I have tried LTT several times now and I haven't been overwhelmed. Granted, it's food truck fare....and good quality at that, no doubt superior to other favorite taco joints in town. However, for me, it lacked something. Not unlike the movie "Titanic", perhaps it had been over-hyped before I got around to them. The tortilla was bland, I left it behind, and the nachos were lacking in flavor. I liked the use of pickled onions and generous cilantro. Some nice flavors, but, just not getting that "thing" that diehards are obsessing over day after day. This can be said of many food trucks, I'm sure. Give them a try if you haven't, and be your own judge. read more

We booked Lloyd's to come to our wedding on September 13th. We booked them a year in advance. It was hard to get in contact with them, and then when you did it took forever for them to call back. My husband and I loved Lloyd's and always thought their food was delicious. So we wanted them to come to our wedding for a late night snack. We booked them from 10:45-11:45pm. 11 came around and they still weren't there. We called, the DJ called, and many friends called....no answer. They never even showed up to our wedding! We talked to them a few days prior, and our wedding coordinator talked to them the day of! And they never showed! Luckily our wedding was amazing and no one really even noticed. When we looked on their twitter to see where they were, our driver Teddy was at a bills pre home opener party. So they decided to break a contract to go to a bills party?! We also paid ahead of time...$750. The next morning a women who works there called back and said how embaressed and sorry they were and she said she didn't even know how to handle the situation. On our honeymoon, they sent us a bottle of champagne and chocolate covered strawberries...which was very nice and thoughtful, but doesn't make up for how irresponsible they are. Teddy also sent us a card...and forget to put our check in it. It took a few weeks to get our refund. I wouldn't recommend booking Lloyd's for your wedding! Since then I have heard they have done that before or show up very late. read more

FOOD POISONING!! Do not eat!! I WAS a fan of Lloyd's taco truck until on Friday April 12 when I drove out of my way to track down Lloyd's taco truck at Babeville 341 Delaware ave. I ordered 1 chicken burrito, 1 pork burrito, 1 beef burrito, 2 ultimate nachos, 4 pork tacos and 4 chicken tacos. The chicken and pork burritos as well as the 2 pork and chicken tacos had rocket sauce on them, the rest of the order had mild hot sauce for the kids. As I got home my wife, 2 kids, my sister in law and niece were eagerly waiting to eat Lloyd's food, we all had dinner together and enjoyed each others company. My sister in law and niece went home and we went to bed. The next morning we all got up within 1.5 hours of each other with horrific sharp stomach pains and we were running for the bathroom.(thank goodness we have 2 bathrooms in our house) , we all had diarrhea. That morning my sister in law called and told us that my niece and herself had the same symptoms. This food poisoning lasted all day Saturday, all day Sunday and started to subside this morning(Monday). I will never go to Lloyd's taco truck again. By coincidence I was talking to a friend of mine that went to Lloyd's taco truck Friday April 12th at night located at 555 Elmwood ave after having a couple of cocktails and woke up feeling the same way we did. So beware of Lloyd's food poisoning truck!! I am taking the time out to write this review so nobody else feels the sharp stomach pains and diarrhea that we all felt!! read more
