I ordered the Package #1 but this year less food and chips and they added a tip after they called me and I stated " NO! When I went to pick, they charged my charge already and said they can reverse it. I asked for management and staff he would call but did nothing about and said they can't do anything about it. The food was very good. I thought it could be a little hotter, temperature wise, and find a way to let cheese melt more especially on the salad, but it's a preference not a health code issue. The person who took my order was incredibly inviting and professional and the owners came out too and they were super polite and even told me I didn't have to tip as much as I was intending. But good food and good service deserves recognition--especially since it was my first experience there. Best part?? There was no "post-meal revenge." Here is what changed: No annoying music No freedom soda machine No more pork served I believe that the place is slightly cleaner All the old familiar employees are gone. Starving and craving Mexican? Head to burrito bay. Located in the same plaza as elmo's is burrito bay. We came here after seeing a buy one get one coupon in the entertainment book and we were not disappointed. There were only a few people in the restaurant, I'm guessing because we came only an hour before they closed on a Friday. I would guess burrito bay is most busy during lunch hours and during the academic year due to its close location to UB. Burrito bay is set up like a Moe's, as they allow you to pick all the fixings in your burrito. They also offer a "glutton" burrito, which looks like nearly the size of two burritos, tacos, fajitas, bowls, enchiladas and more. I got a chicken burrito with cilantro rice, black beans, chicken, lettuce, tomato, onion and medium salsa. Some more interesting meat options they offer are buffalo chicken, beans and steak. Great for vegans! My burrito itself was very delicious. I really enjoyed the extra cilantro and super generous portion of chicken they gave. The extra surprise of thus place is their soda fountain. This was my second time coming to Burrito Bay with my boyfriend who works nearby. We got takeout as there is no inside dining right now and they had all the tables roped off which was good. I got a chicken rice bowl my boyfriend got a buffalo chicken burrito. They give you a ton of food - the portions are huge. I can easily get three meals out of my bowl. I'm not even sure how they're able to wrap the giant burritos either. The price is very decent (about $8) for the huge portion you're getting but the food is just regular mexican american without much to excite my palate. Better than taco bell, though. read more

Always heard about this place but never made the effort to try. Really wanted a taco tonight so I decided to order. Very happy to find they have a traditional taco salad in an "edible" bowl as they list it. The ground beef was very flavorful and not greasy at all. We also enjoyed enchiladas, a burrito, and the nachos. The Mexican rice was so good it left me wanting more. All enjoyed the dinner and would definitely order again! read more

This place has been around doing the whole "higher end" fast food Mexican (think Moe's or Chipotle) for nearly two decades, and it has consistently been a cut above the chain stores that it surprises me this hasn't turned into a local institution like Mighty Taco (there briefly was a location in Lockport, but has otherwise not expanded). Their big claim to fame literally is the Glutton burrito. In my younger days when I could eat a lot more than I can now, that would be my go to (although I could never complete the Glutton King challenge of eating two of them in a half hour). My usual go to for meat is the Buffalo Chicken, although I also was a big fan of their pork (which due to supply costs, is unavailable now). I would normally order the regular burrito in the last few years, but because of how super stuffed they tend to be, would get quite messy, so I've changed it up to getting the burrito bowl, which substitutes the tortilla for extra rice. All the toppings they have available to add are tasty and fresh, and service has always been nice and courteous. If you're a fan of Chipotle or Moe's, and haven't been here yet, you should remedy that situation past haste. read more

Think chipotle or Moe's with out the franchising. Burrito Bay has the same set up as any of those locations. They will work with you to get you what you want, which is nice. I have had the taco salad before with both chicken and buffalo chicken. I once just got a side of the chicken breast and it tasted good. I gave this Resturant a 3 star rating because of the atmosphere. The dining area seems really low budget and unkept most of the time. They also boast that you get a gourmet mint with your purchase, which is cute and nice, but it's not a gourmet mint. It's a regular mint and they forget to put it the bag half the time. Overall, I would still order from this Resturant when I am in a pinch for time and need some food quick but I wouldn't recommend it over another made-to-order Mexican place. Had a groupon for them so decided to bring home a rice bowl for my wife. She really enjoyed it. Got her steak with red and black beans, cheese, tomato, onion, cilantro, medium salsa, and guacamole on the side. Guacamole is extra. They can be pretty pricey but with the groupon it was under $6. Service at the store was quick and good with all staff being gloved and masked. I would love a little more steak but who wouldn't lol. Great place to come for a burrito. I tend to find Chipotle, Moes, Qudoba and all such places pretty similar, and in terms of overall idea and food selection, this place wasn't too different. They had a pretty standard set of meat choices, toppings, and shell selections. What really set them apart though was the glutton! I'm so upset that I got a new phone and no longer have the photo but the burrito was literally as long as my forearm, and at least double its width. It was just as delicious as a normal burrito, but like that commercial says, who says no to more? It took me 3 settings to finish this mammoth burrito. Other than the size though it is pretty comparable to those other burrito places. If you're in the mood for a burrito though that alone should draw you to Burrito Bay. read more

I wrote a review for this place about a year ago and somehow it got taken down. Maybe I was too harsh. To summarize: Their nachos are like the ones you can get at the movie theater. Salty, stale with that yellow plastic "cheese". You can put whatever wet goo ingredients you want on top but I wouldn't recommend it. The salsa is more like an italian tomato sauce. The food quality is awesome, but more importantly I used to have a huge trust on the cleanliness of this place - like how the employees put on new gloves each time they serve a new customer. I used to visit this place once or twice per week. Recently, I started noticing an employee walking around where the food is with a face mask on his chin, not covering his mouth or nose - on two different occassions, in the middle of the pandemic. Burrito Bay is a famous Mexican body of water that is somewhere between the Gulf Of Mexico and the Raging River Rapids of Cancun. Apparently because of the complete absence of wind on this bay, ships' captains would sail for days and days and days on the bay and never get anywhere. So they would survive by eating stuffed Burritos, made from anything they could find on the ship (including the pieces of wood from the crow's nest, which they would dismantle, since the person manning the crow's nest was usually poorly due to scurvy anyway). Hence the name, Burrito Bay. It stuck, like a Selena record that's been used on a mixing turntable by an amateur DJ. If you're in the mood for something like Chipotle (or "Freebirds" for those of you who know what they are), but don't want to go to a chain, and instead want something a little bit more original and delicious, then Burrito Bay is the destination for you. It's close to several of the main college campuses, and basically serves up very cheap stuffed "tex mex" style burritos with as many fillings as you can dream into them. You choose what you want in it from the many options, and they stuff it like a Christmas Pudding (that's my new saying, get used to it), and then you feel completely full before you even get halfway through it. Eh, is truly my reaction to this place. I expected this place to be more similar to Moe's or Chipotle, but the flavors were a little bland. Upon walking in for lunch, I had 2 customers in front of me. They ordered this HUGE (and I seriously mean HUGE) burrito. I was shocked as I had never seen anything like this before, ever! When it was my turn, I ordered a steak salad with only lettuce, veggies and steak. I asked for the hot salsa sauce, and the salad costed me between $10-11.00. As I was eating my salad, I found it to be flavorless and bland. The hot salsa was not hot at all, and I didn't taste the seasoning in the steak either. In conclusion, I'd give the salad a 1/5 as I probably would not order it again. However, the staff were friendly, fast/efficient and the restaurant looked clean. Absolutely horrible. I wouldn't eat it if it was free. The guy making my burrito accidentally put salsa on it and when I brought it to his attention that I had said no salsa he panicked and asked his co worker what he should do. Instead of telling him to just simply start over she told him to just pick it off... I watched in absolute disgust as he picked the largest pieces of tomato off my burrito with his fingers until he though he had gotten enough off. The meat is bland and the beans are kept in water, I imagine they're straight out of a can with no seasoning at all. This was my first time trying Burrito bay but definitely not my last. I ordered takeout and no I did, a little cold I can't blame that on anybody. I ordered a vegetarian burrito and it was the biggest burrito I have ever seen. It came with peppers and onions that were both sautéed as well as pinto and black beans and cheese. I ordered a side of nachos and cheese and the cheese was typical orange stuff that you get at the movies but not bad. The chips were yummy.
