Great spot to visit when in Prescott. They have a huge selection of wine, as well as other types of liquor. Devon, Mike, and everyone we've encountered are always friendly and super helpful. They suggest bottles we haven't tried yet that have been just what we're looking for.. Really hit the nail on the head. Over the years we've acquired some cool bottles to add to our bar. They also have a drive thru which is convenient, and dog bones for the pup which is great! read more

Lloyd's is a unique liquor store that looks to have a large selection of wine. Not being a "wine guy", I can't attest to their quality, but they had a good selection of liquors, specifically whiskey. As I am a "whiskey guy", I CAN attest to THAT selection. The dude behind the counter was very helpful and helped me find a unique bottle. Also, Lloyd's had a small walk-in humidor with a selection of premium cigars at good prices. They don't have a smoking lounge, but you're free to grab a drink and smoke and take it home with you. read more

Went to a wine tasting on a Tuesday and bought product, came back that Thursday and had to use the restroom before I did anything else, was "greeted" by an employee outside the restroom (the same one who hosted the wine tasting that Tuesday) saying I couldn't use the restroom for customers only. Super rude, won't be back, can't recommend...if the owner cares at all, they may reach out to me. read more

I am from out of town and stopped in to pick up a very specific bottle of rum for my boss. Lloyds didn't have it, but they told me where to get it. And they were right: it wasn't a wild goose chase. To me, that kind of service is worth 5 stars, and Lloyd's will be the first place I check when I am in town again. The place is pretty small, but they are using the space very effectively and have a wide selection, especially given the size of the shop. I wasn't in there 60 seconds before I was asked if I needed help finding anything. If I didn't know what I wanted, or even if my request had been less specific, I believe they could have helped me find something I would have liked. read more

In a time where small businesses are struggling to stay afloat (indeed some aren't even being allowed), and where people are out of work, one business has decided it doesn't need my business. Upon driving into Lloyd's Liquors, there was a sign that said "Drive Thru Open". I didn't want to use a drive thru though, as I wanted to see what stout selections there were, and make a choice. So I parked and walked up to the front door. The door was locked and a small sign read that it was drive thru only. So I walked back to my car. There was only one other car in the parking lot and no one around. I decided to reverse the 10ft back to the drive thru window despite the fact that there was a sign saying not to do it. I decided to do this as I wasn't sure how I would easily get back to the drive thru if I had to go out and there were zero people around. Once I got to the window, a man opened the window wearing a large black mask. I told him I was sorry for reversing but there was no one around and I didn't know that the regular store wasn't open (as I said--there was no sign until you are at the front door). He half smiled, half glared at me over his mask and said, "yeah it's just I have about five signs saying not to do it". And I told him It wasn't clear his store was drive thru only and I didn't know how I was easily going to get back to the store. Instead of leaving it, he decided to repeat how many signs he had up saying not to do that. So I told him I would go give my business to a store that wanted it. To be clear--I know that I shouldn't have reversed. But to keep making the point after I had apologized and nothing bad had happened was just ridiculous. Especially considering there was no way for a customer to know that it was drive thru only. I think the guy serving me was the owner, and I guess he thinks it is more important to chastise people (even when they apologize), then get their business. The next liquor store I went to was easy to access, had a great selection, and gave great customer service. I will never attempt to go here again based on the passive aggressive "service" I received today. read more

Being new to the area, I did a quick Yelp search to see what my options are for Whiskey. It's a bit of a tradition/expectation that Hubs receives a bottle(s) for any special occasions. I went in and immediately liked the layout of the place. The walls are filled, there are nice displays throughout and they have a cigar room. The displays did not make it difficult to walk through the place and I wasn't worried about knocking anything over... which many small businesses somehow don't get is a good thing! The guy working was very helpful and knowledgeable (or so I like to believe). I don't drink Whiskey and don't know much about it, so I leave it up to the recommendations of others based on what I tell them Hubs likes or dislikes. Based on what I mentioned, I was given a few recommendations and also a non-recommendation based on the guys personal preference. Although I was told the bottle I picked out was "somewhat hard to find" and then I found it two days later at Fry's, for about $10-$15 cheaper, I was not disappointed in my experience and I will definitely be going back! read more

What a great local shop with amazing customer service! Once in awhile, I make a stop here, knowing that I will get a good recommendation within my price range.
