I recently contracted LM Tile for a bath redo & new shower enclosure. The Shower was installed on the evening of 11/07/21. We E-mailed Alex on 11/09/21 about a defect in the glass. On the night of 11/09/21 I suffered a major heart attack and was in hospital for 21 days( most of it in ICU). After I was released & my wife was composed enough to get back to getting the glass replaced, no one from Lm Tile or the glass co would come out & inspect it. The only option offered to us , because it had been 32 days ( 30 day warranty ) was for us t pay $350 labor to replace a 41" x48" piece of glass.Very disappointed there was no consideration given for the health issue which caused the delay in contacting LM Tile by 2 days. I should have gotten a written warranty for at lease a 90 day period. read more

The products we ordered met our expectations and the installation was very good. Pricing is comparable to larger, wholesale dealers. We had carpet installed as well as tile work done. I paid for this company to install my carpet and they never showed up with the product. Wells Fargo will warn you about this company not delivering products that you ordered. The manager constantly lied about what was going on. read more

The owner Alex did not keep up to his initial contract rate. He left few things at the end and did not complete the job. We signed up with Toll Brother's home, and to save money we thought we will do some upgrades after we close. We were going to a near by EZ Floors and about to sign the agreement with them. In the mean time, one of our friend gave Alex my number and Alex called me and asked us to visit his shop on FM 529. Me and my wife went there and Alex was very nice and said he will do end to end job and will make sure we are satisfied with his work. He came to our home under construction and he measured all the rooms and gave the estimates. He agreed to carpet replacement, wood floors in some areas, tiles for the patio, replace carpet with wood treads on stair case, back splash in the kitcehn, etc at certain price and said if we gave him 2000.00 advance then even if the prices change he will not raise the prices for our contract. We gave 2K as advance and told him that he can start his work once we sign off with Toll Brothers in April 2019. We called him in April 2019 and told him that he can start the work soon, then he told us to come to his shop just to make sure what is agreed in initial invoice for which he took 2K advance is correct. When we went to his shop one week before closing, he started saying the prices of the carpet and wood floor materials went up, and stair case wood tread replacement costs double from his previous agreed amount. Either you do it or take the advance which we gave him October 2018. By that time we were so tired and did not feel like going back to EZ floors and paid him 50% of the raised prices kind of in forced to pay situation. Then Alex sent his workers to our home they started doing the work. His workers did great job, but for every small thing they started saying Alex will not pay, or need to talk to Alex. Looks like he has good workers but they are not working enthusiastically, they were always talking about Alex will not pay. After the work is done the workers did not fix small things like back splash edges they did not paint, they did not paint fire place mantle, they did not caulk cabinets they installed, they did not do the plumbing of the sink to the drainage etc. On top of it he charged money to buy some plywood for wood floor in the second floor, he came to our home and said he will take care of all the materials, padding etc as part of the installation. The prices he gave us all inclusive and he ill not charge any thing extras. He became very rude at the end, he started threatening that he will put liens on our new home if we held any money for the unfinished tasks. Alex said they are not painters, plumbers etc, but we went to him because he said he has workers who can built homes bottom up. He showed the models he is building in midtown areas for million dollars. Since he was referred to me by my friend who used his services during Harvey damages we believed what Alex said. Alex flaunts that he is building million dollar homes in down town area etc. He does not care for our money etc, but he shows his true character once the work starts. We went to him because we believed that he is a full service contractor, but when we asked about the paint patches, caulking corners etc he started saying he is not painter, plumber etc and he was doing that only for Harvey affected work. Which he did not inform us. He raised our prices, he re-measured and changed the original size estimates etc. Alex said he do not care for customers since he is already very rich etc. I suggest any one thinking of LM Tile on 529 Alex, think again. Do not fall for his sweet initial talk. He will quote low but once you give the deposit, he will start renegotiating on small things like you need this and that where you cannot go back, because you cannot find another contractor to finish his half done jobs and you will be forced to pay more. Alex caused me lose at least 3000.00 from his original invoice he agreed and took deposit form me. Dont even touch Alex with 1000 yard stick. You will be left with bad taste. read more

Working with LM was such a terrible experience. My husband and I went into the store on a Saturday afternoon asking about granite prices. We were thrilled when Alex said he would come by that evening to measure our kitchen and give us a price. That's where the warm fuzzies ended. He came over with the samples we picked out, measured the kitchen at (10 square feet above every other bid) and gave us two separate prices based on which material we ultimately decided on. We were super excited that the color we liked the most was the least expensive. He said he'd throw in plumbing, so that our kitchen would be back fully functioning by the end of the install. He also said he'd only require $500 down to get the process going. After getting a few different bids (LM's being the lowest), we decided to go in and ask a few more questions. Every question we asked seemed to physically pain him, and he would divert it to someone else. "Oh you have to talk to Cathy to get the scheduling. Oh you have to ask the installer." He had no interest in getting our business. Against our better judgment, we decided to hire him, even when he said he required $1500 down payment, not $500 like he originally said. He gave us two WRITTEN quotes, told us an installer would come by to do the final measurements, then we could pick out our slabs. He also said that the installer would meet us at the slab yard, so we could talk about where we want the cuts. When the installer came to do the final measurements, I had a list of questions, like do they dispose of the tear outs, where will the seams be, what about the edges. Although, he tried to answer most of them, 90% of his answers were, "You have to ask Alex." We scheduled our appointment to look at the slabs with Tobin at MSI. After looking at our first choice, we weren't completely sold. We wanted to see other options in the same price range, so we called Alex to find out what those were. He was nowhere to be found. Got in touch with Kathy in the office, and though she showed every effort of helping us, she just didn't have the information. The person who did was completely MIA. Tobin was so great and patient with us while we vented about the complete lack of customer service our LM sales rep was showing. Although he couldn't give us specific pricing, he tried to show us similar slabs that should have been in the same price range. After seeing these, I really decided that our original choice was the one for us. Tobin wrote up the order and we were on our way, because the installer who was supposed to meet us never showed up. Kathy contacted us immediately talking about install dates, some as soon as five business days later. My husband thanked her for all of her efforts in the run around and asked her to tell Alex to call us as soon as he got into the office. He finally did call back...two days later. He said that he could install that very next Friday, but he had swapped the prices on the quotes, and the slabs that we chose would be almost $1000 more. After going back and forth with him about having a written quote and needing it to be honored, he still refused and my husband demanded our money back. Although we know we could have ultimately made him honor the written (and signed) quote, at that point, we just wanted to be done with the company. Alex's word (or handshake) meant nothing, and we didn't trust him handling our business or being anywhere near our home. Live and learn...if it seems shady, it probably is.
