Can't say enough great things about our experience with Irene! We just purchased a home with Irene as our broker, but she had actually been helping us plan for making that goal a reality for over a year at that point! I was a first time home buyer and had no idea where/how to start. I used Irene based on my colleagues referral and she lived up to her amazing reputation. I was really nervous about the process and suspicious of lenders in general, but Irene took the time to earn my trust and explain everything in layman's terms. Irene is a rock star. Like one of the other reviewers, we were referred to Irene by our real estate agent, Mark Easterday (another class act whom I recommend enthusiastically). Irene worked with my husband and me when we bought a new house this past February. It was not our first experience buying a home or getting a loan but it was by far the most complicated, mostly because of issues arising from the transaction being a short sale. The bank that needed to approve the offer sat on it for weeks and then accepted it with the original closing date in our offer rather than adjusting the closing to be 30 days after the acceptance, as stipulated in the offer. Irene warned us that she might not be able to make the deadline but she pulled everything together in time, no small feat. If it hadn't been for a federal law mandating a waiting period between loan lock and sign-off we would have made that deadline. All was well, though, because Mark knew what was going on and had done fancy footwork to get us the extra time we needed. Bottom line is, if you are thinking of buying a house, hire Mark Easterday as your real estate agent and hire Irene as your mortgage broker.
