While my other interactions with Century were great, their preferred lender, Inspire Home Loans,…read morewas absolutely horrendous. It was very obvious that they were the preferred lender in that the minute that you signed your contract designating them, they forget you exist. I constantly had to chase people for answers to very simple questions and when I received answers they were half answered or selectively answered. I had to send constant reminders to have things updated on my application and even at closing, things were not updated as requested (IE paid off debts). Another HUGE issue is that they hard pulled my credit a second time without any kind of notice prior to doing so, which I do believe it illegal. When it came to lock my rate, I had to send multiple emails to get any kind of response and this was during a time where rates were skyrocketing daily. I brought my dissatisfaction up to Shelley Gay, the manager, and it was met with zero apologies or acknowledgement to the poor service. At closing, we were left waiting on the lender to transfer my funds and they did not even provide my first payment letter necessary to make my first mortgage payment. All in all, this company is a joke and I will be refinancing as soon as possible. DO NOT go with Inspire, even if they're the preferred lender. You can get the lender/seller credit back from other non-preferred lenders very easily with better customer service!

So there I was, almost settling for a 'meh' mortgage deal--$400K, 20% down, and a steep 7.45% interest rate. I decided to have a second opinion and Found Moreira Team with so many great reviews, so I decided to contact them. Enter Lucky, my mortgage matchmaker. Within half an hour (no joke!), he rang me back with a deal that had my jaw dropping: $470K approved, just 3.5% down, and a 6.75% interest rate! But wait, there's more: The team had a cherry on top: They referred me to a superb Realtor named Catherine, who gave me a grand tour of Georgia homes. From there, Taylor and Amanda whisked through the paperwork, ensuring everything was ready in two weeks. For a first-time homebuyer, they turned what could've been a daunting drama into a smooth, feel-good experience. I'm so happy I found them! So if you're in the market for a great mortgage team, look no further. This team is the best!

Of course, I rely on reviews in making a decision on who to go with. Stumbled upon this mortgage group as they're located in the same vicinity as my current residence so I decided to reach out. Reached out not only because of their 5 star rating but their positive reviews and comments. Fast forward- after submitting to them all necessary docs, a week goes by without any communication or update...so I text their loan assistant, Stephanie for update and unfortunately no reply. All I'm simply requesting is an update and better communication regarding our loan status. It's been a couple weeks and couple weekends but still haven't received a pre-qual letter. I've reached out to other brokers since and they were surprised that it was taking so long for a letter. The only communication was over a week ago when Stephanie confirmed - based on the submitted docs, everything looked good and we'd qualify for the loan amount we were seeking. So where is our update if that's the case?! This experience thus far has been nothing but frustrating and will most likely pass on yelp's assistance other than locating a good meal.

We filled out an application on the Loan Factory website and was contacted via e-mail shortly after. Though we are in California, we primarily worked with Linh Nguyen from this Georgia location. She was very helpful with explaining things to my parents so that they would understand the difference in rate/cost of refinancing an investment vs their own primary residence. Whenever my mom & dad had a question or needed clarification, Linh was always a phone call/text away and wanted to make sure that she could do anything within her power to make sure we were satisfied & reassured. With the advice from Linh and the other associates of Loan Factory, we waited to lock in a low rate & closing cost and it saved us a lot of money in the long run. They set up rate alerts that would send daily e-mails to ensure we were aware. We refinanced in 2016 at 4.125% for 30 years and now we're going to pay the home off much sooner with our Quicken Loan Mortgage from Loan Factory at 2.99% for 15 years, which was a lot lower than our other quotes with closing cost from other lenders. Don't hesitate to use their website to get an estimate and talk with their loan officers. We are grateful and appreciative to everyone Loan Factory at the Georgia location for working hard in conjunction with the California locations. Thank you for being thorough in every step of the process and being patient with us.

I agree with other reviewers that if 0 stars were an option, that's what I would choose. Do not use this institution for any reason, if at all possible. Departments are heavily siloed, with little knowledge shared, and staff must constantly refer to or involve supervisors instead of answering questions. I was a co-owner on my Mother's checking account when she passed away unexpectedly. Immediately, when informing Associated Credit Union of her passing, all accounts were locked, and online access was denied, even though I was a co-owner on the checking account. I discovered this when trying to access the account, then contacting the CU. I was told this should have been explained when I informed them of her death. In addition, they immediately transferred funds from the checking account to pay her credit card in full, even though this is not the order in which bills are to be paid per the Forsyth County Probate Court, and the option to make payments was not offered. I could get no information regarding her other accounts, even with the Will designating me as Executor. Staff are either unfamiliar with the processes when an account holder dies, or are instructed not to state the polices they are enforcing until asked. Staff constantly referred me to other departments or staff members, and even then it was not easy to get an answer. I use a credit union, which thankfully operates nothing like this one. I had no idea that a CU could or would treat its members like this.

My husband has been a member of ACU for OVE4R 40 YEARS--and I joined as well when we were married…read more From the 1980's up until about 5 years ago--great service. Then something changed. First, we noticed their rather horrible website was down more than it was up, and didn't function well even when it was up. Call the Tech Support line? Good luck getting an answer--and if you do get a real person, they know no more about how to solve the problem than you do, and their best advice is "Call ACU in the morning when they're open!" Then my husband started trying to redeem his credit card "Rewards" points on such things as hotels and car rentals. The site would say we HAD been granted the special rate or credit--but we get to the hotel or car rental place and they've never heard of any such credit nor does it show up on their site! (Nothing like going out of town and finding the reservation you THOUGHT you paid for with your ACU points doesn't even EXIST!) TODAY was the LAST STRAW. Their customer service is non-existent--you call their receptionist, and she doesn't even KNOW THE NAMES of the people she says work "downstairs" in the main corporate office so as to get you to a live person! I asked for one of the ladies who I spoke with earlier on the phone BY NAME and the lady on the phone did not even know who it was--and she worked there in the SAME BRANCH! I had purchased a Safe Deposit Box rental--but the box I got was defective. Not only would it not open for us, but even the ACU employees there had a hard time getting it open! We repeatedly asked for it to be fixed, and they told us they'd call someone to do so--but next time we went back it was STILL broken! Finally we asked if they didn't have another box they could put us in. They did--but said they had only ONE key for it. I said that's ok, I'm the only one ever goes into it anyway. I SHOULD HAVE GOTTEN IT IN WRITING from them that they were making a special case for me and giving me ONLY ONE KEY. They said they would CALL me when they found the second key--but of course they never did. Today I went to go in the box and now THAT box was hard to open, so I decided to close the Safe Deposit Box out and MOVE it to my own bank (which is SO much better than ACU!) They had forgotten that they ONLY gave me ONE key--in fact they said they WOULDN'T have let me have a box with only one key (but they DID! -- as a special case, because MY box was defective--and they said they'd call me when they had the second key, and they never did!) So now they told me (to add insult to injury) that "I" have to pay "them" a $5 "fee" for "losing" the second key--that they never GAVE me! As soon as we can pay off my husband's credit-card bill, we are CLOSING OUT ALL ACCOUNTS. ACU no longer CARES about its customers. I asked to speak to their CEO at that branch via a written form on their website---haven't heard peep one back and don't expect I will. All we want now is to get AWAY from these disreputable, smug, untruthful, uncaring, incapable, and totally INCOMPETENT people--and to take our business to a better place that still CARES and TRIES to do a GOOD job for its customers! (I would name my own bank but don't know if that's allowed--but it's in a large red brick building on Buford Hwy in Duluth near Rogers' Bridge Road).
