Really enjoyed the Lobby Lounge. We came here a couple of times during our stay. Swanky, speakeasy type of vibe. Service was really good. Everyone here is very nice. Drinks were well made. We tried the Sazerac box - it has a nice presentation, worth checking out if you like this type of a drink and are a fan of fun presentations. They also provide a plate of snacks with your drinks that include salt and vinegar potato chips.

Service was great! Drinks: My niece had a Bellini. And I had my usual Chardonnay. I guess, the Bellini was pretty good bec she ordered a second one. As for my Chard, it was good too. It was a bit on the dry. They give you a taste to start. As for the food, except for the Lava Cake, everything we ordered was delicious -- Beef Tartare, Deviled Eggs, Sushi platter, Sashimi platter and, my oh my, the Chocolate-Chip Cookies. They were freshly baked and tender, and sooo delicious. (They also had tasty complimentary starters.) I highly recommend this place again. This place also has a sentimental value to me. My family loved to come here. Ladies Room: A beautiful restroom, with extra separate space for the mirrors, and sink, small cloth towels provided, and hand lotion. Parking: I did not do valet. There is a SM parking structure on 4th Street near the corner of Wilshire. The cost for parking at the structure for about 3 - 4 hours was $9. That may be like almost the valet-parking cost but I don't really care for valet parking. Even before the pandemic. So I am glad I have the parking structure. (It's nice and clean too.) Oh, I just noticed I did not say anything about the ambiance-- so just check the pictures. And then there was my 5-star comment about the ladies restroom.

This lounge is super cute and cozy. I love all the couches and tables. And the view/outdoor area is like a mini oasis. The food is also delicious. I ordered the fish tacos and they were so good! Love the mango relish. However, the server was a little slow. Parking was easy with the valet service. Would def dine here again. Also, go visit the jeweler in the Fairmont - Edward Avedis, they are top tier jewelers!

Signed up for two spa services at Exhale in the Fairmont Miramar Hotel. During lunch stopped in at the Lobby Lounge and was pleasantly surprised. We sat outside near a small waterfall with koi fish. There's plenty of heating lamp's for a cold afternoon and the service was wonderful. The food was delicious and unique. Great menu for an indoor/outdoor lounge experience.

Perfect spot to have a glass of wine and just relax. Great service and good ambiance. My Order: Hummus plate and a bottle of Albariño. Environment: the outside patio has comfy chairs alongside a koi filled pond with waterfalls. Great ambiance to enjoy company and a good chat. You can also go inside where there's a lot of folks working on laptops. Verdict: great spot to grab a drink and appetizer. One star deducted for limited vegetarian options, but not for taste (hummus was super delicious). Tips: buy the bottle versus the glass (even though they don't post the price). Sit outside - the patio has such a good ambiance to relax and enjoy a drink/appetizer combo. Next Time: (1) try another cocktail and appetizer (2) walk the grounds - it's beautiful with lots of other shops and restaurants

    Espresso martini with Grey Goose

We came in to have a few drinks at this lobby bar on a Sunday afternoon. The actual bar was a tiny little bar with only 5 or 6 bar stools. Most people were just standing around the bar area so it was a bit crowded. We had espresso martini with Grey Goose, classic Vesper martini and spicy margarita. The drinks were very strong and tasty, they offered chips as snacks. I think you can order bar food too cause I saw someone eating a big sandwich at the bar. The drink prices were not too bad for an oceanfront hotel in my opinion. Our bartender was very friendly and fast considering she was the only one working at the moment. We had small fun talks with the friendly and easy going people at the bar, most of them were not from LA. We stayed for a while and decided to check out the Bungalow lounge next door. Remember to validate your valet ticket here cause they don't do validations at the Bungalow! Ps. the parking at Fairmont hotel was $7 with validations first 2.5 hours, standard valet rate each additional hour. It's $20 first 2.5 hours without validations! WiFi was useless!

First and foremost I ordered crabcakes they didn't taste great, it's lacked the crunchiness that you would expect from a crabcake If it were supposed to be fried. It also lacked flavor. And then I ordered fish and chips, hoping to salvage my pallet and on the menu, it just said fish and chips. However, they put the fish on top of baby food, purée, green peas. Wtf? The fish was slightly uncooked and fries were cold. Please stay far away.

A delicious lunch! Got salad, soup and fries and literally finished everything! A pricey lunch spot, but the food is quality!

Smoked salmon flatbread with bagel spice and dill crema

I stayed at the Fairmont hotel for a work trip, and decided to grab a quick bite (and cocktail, of course) at the bar. My drink of choice that day: Rum Old Fashioned made with Mt gay rum, honey syrup, and bitters. It was a nice twist on a classic cocktail. I ordered the smoked salmon flatbread with bagel spice and dill crema at the suggestion of the bartender. I'm so glad I did, it was awesome. I miss it so much right now. My colleague made fun of me for ordering it again, but whatever. It was scrumptious!

Pretty chill spot have some cocktails after Sunday brunch. Or choose from their food options and make it an afternoon out. Food: the carnivore flatbread is very good, with 6 slices, it's enough for a meal or to share. You can also order a side of fresh cut fries that come slightly seasoned and piping hot to snack on with your drinks. Drinks: $36 rose was okay, I've had better. NapaValley Cab full bodied, Gordon's cup is very refreshing, LeRoi is super sweet, ElDiablo is smoky by the tequila. 3 ladies came for a few cocktails after being at the beach, total damage $235 plus tip.

Found this place by accident and I'm glad I did. Such a perfect vibe. We only had drinks and they were all enjoyed. I got the coconut punch, would've liked it more if it tasted more on the coconut side vs the lime-y side.

Most of the bars are dive bars in downtown Santa Monica, and parking is quite accessible for this place. So I'd recommend for that reason. In terms of the drinks, I'm a huge fan of cocktail but I would say their menu selections are a bit limited. Nothing in the signature cocktail looks interesting to me, so I had the bartender make a classic cocktail instead. He's very attentive and friendly, didn't take forever to get a drink either, no attitude. Drinks aren't watered down either. Nice! You come here to grab quick drinks when you don't feel like being at a loud dive bar in the area, it's in a hotel but not too upscale, no strict dress code. Music is not loud and they have couches and booth if bar table if not your thing, you don't have to yell or pretend you hear everything to hold a conversation here (lol). ** Keep in mind 20% gratuity is automatically included in bill, it's my first time here. But I think I've other spots I'd prefer to be in, even at Santa Monica. Wouldn't be self-motivated to come back because there are better places that specialises mixology, and there are also better upscale hotel bars to be at. But if you're around the area it's a great intimate bar for date night that's not overly pricey. Wouldn't travel all the way to here just for this (if you know what I mean).

I first came here as part of our stay at the hotel, and it has a surprisingly lively atmosphere throughout the day. There are quite a lot of people working on laptops or studying, which gives it more of a community café feel than a typical hotel restaurant. Parking is valet only at the hotel and costs $22 for up to 2 hours, which is steep. However, street parking nearby is metered and not too difficult to find if you're willing to walk a few minutes. The food is definitely on the expensive side, but the quality is generally very good. The standouts were the Proper Breakfast, acai bowl, shakshuka plate, and breakfast burrito. These felt thoughtfully prepared and satisfying. The salmon bagel was just okay and didn't quite justify the price. I also had a smoothie that was very good, but at $20, it felt hard to fully justify ordering again. I was especially interested in trying their Cowboy Cold Foam coffee, but unfortunately it wasn't available during our visit. We also ordered takeout for dinner, and that experience was strong overall. The mushrooms and onion soup dip was excellent and one of the highlights. The Caesar salad and vodka pasta were decent but not particularly memorable. Overall, La Palma delivers a great atmosphere, strong breakfast options, and high-quality food, though pricing is definitely premium across the board. It's worth visiting, especially if you're staying at the Proper Hotel or want a beautiful place to relax, work, or enjoy a leisurely breakfast.
