The speakeasy is unique and even serves full menu of great food! Aesthetic & Ambiance: 9.5/10 - it was very prohibition themed and the menus being price/luggage tags was very fun. Came on a saturday night at 6:30 reservation and it was very quiet with us being the only table most of the evening. The outside restaurant has live bands which can be a little loud. Service: 100/10 - Markley was the bartender and the only one who operates the speakeasy, she's not only the best bartender Ive had custom drinks from, but she also makes each individual product herself. She explained every part of the drinks and ingredients, and even offered to make any kind of drink we'd want if there was nothing on her menu. Drinks: 10/10 - if you like cocktail bars this is it...EVERY drink was a unique in flavor and handcrafted by Markley from steep to serve. house-infused liquors and tinctures- ONE OF A KIND BAR Food: 8.5/10 - all around great some dishes better than others Bread & Butter - 9/10 great toasted sourdough with a garlic butter and the butter was perfect salty-addition. Calamari - 7/10 a little too breaded for my liking with the rings and tentacles being a little dry. Deviled eggs: 7.5/10 interesting they were fried, but had great flavor all over Mongolian Beef: 8/10 very good flavor, and rice was tasty, but the sauce was a little salty. great spot that slowly turns into a full-on club as the night picks up. Starts off chill, but give it some time and it gets packed... like barely-room-to-walk packed. Energy goes way up with it though. Music is consistently great and the crowd matches it. Mostly a younger, high-energy vibe. If you actually want to enjoy your drinks and maybe chat with the bartenders, show up early. Once it gets going, it's all motion and noise. It's never disappointed us. You kind of know what you're signing up for, and it delivers every time. Ambiance leans classy without feeling vintage. The Lincoln had amazing super dim lighting that made it feel cozy, romantic, and welcoming. My drink was an 8: o ordered a lemon drop !! sweet, spicy, fruity, and strong. The couch section they had was amazing, but I wished there were more. Even though it wasn't packed, it felt like there were only certain spots to sit, and we didn't feel comfortable right next to everyone. The Lincoln is a wonderful lounge where you can get a drink or a few and have some food. I don't think it opens until around 7 pm and is open to about 2 am. The service is great. The staff is nice and kind. Again, we are usually the oldest people there--what can I say, we are old. But it is no bother the crowd is fun to watch. They have live music on some nights and if not that a DJ. Now this place gets loud and you can't avoid it. If you want quiet go elsewhere. They have full bar and if you want it they have it. This is a magical place and it is a wonderful gem. I usually park in the residential area across the street and have no problem getting access to the establishment. To start off, this bar was a last minute plan that absolutely became the best choice of the night. As soon as I entered the place it smelled so good & they had heaters, which was amazing because it was a really cold night. I was at the Lincoln last night hosting a private event from 7-10 p.m. it was my first time there and absolutely lovely! The staff is super accommodating and helpful and help so much in coordinating the event. The venue itself is beautiful, has a great ambiance with romantic lighting, garden whimsical vibes. Security that helped throughout the event was welcoming and kind while keeping us all safe, especially since it was a private event I was there hosting. The crowd was also great along with the DJ, tarot card reader as well as the mixologists behind the bar! The place is clean, calming and everyone was super welcoming and friendly. Almost every guest I checked in at the front made me laugh and it was just all around just great vibes all night long. Def no better place to spend your Thursday! Ended up trying the Cereal Killer and Daddy Don't Make Dinner. They also have a water station at both ends of the bar. We had a nice evening and was excited for the DJ to start. The bartender told us that the DJ starts at 9:30PM. The DJ ended up starting a little bit later, maybe more towards 9:45PM. By that time, it was starting to get pretty packed. The DJ played some Top 40 and had some interesting mixes/transitions. We were vibing with some of the choices, but not with other choices. We were getting ready to head out to get some ice cream. The last mix we heard was Tequila by the Champs mixed with Single Ladies by Beyonce. It was ... odd lol We left during that song. As we were leaving, the DJ transitioned to Lauryn Hill which was a great choice. But it was too late! We had already left haha Outside, there was quite a long line forming. If you want a more quiet spot there is an enclosed cute outdoor-ish area where you can chat and mingle comfortably. The drinks are good and priced at the going rate for LA. I don't like overly sweet drinks, and will usually ask about the sweetness before making my decision. The drinks I had were smooth and more on the tart side (which I like), but don't worry they are not sour or tart like a sour candy or sucking on a lemon. This bar plays good lively lounge music which makes an upbeat atmosphere; loud enough to have a conversation with other bar patrons. Plenty of street parking around the neighborhood. Bouncer inside was super rude to me and my husband. They let the girls in but held us outside for awhile. when we were inside and we were standing around, he came and pushed us to the side and said you can't stand here. But then other guys and girls moved there and he let them stay there. We had a spot at the bar, but I left my group to go to the water station and he told me to get in the back of the line. There was no line for the water station. So I went back to our spot to get water from the bartender instead. I was just trying to not waste their time. I don't know why he kept targeting me. Maybe being the only Asian guy there or the only gay guys there? The waiter was nice though and made good drinks. I just had to avoid the bouncer all night which really kills the vibe. read more
