These guys were great! I came home from a trip to find my keypad lock batteries dead and unable to get into my house at 830 PM on a saturday night. I called around and got a few quotes/arrival times, and they quoted the fastest time and most reasonable price range for the job based on the lock info. When you call you get an AI assistant who takes your info. David called back moments later and said he could be at my home in 12 minutes (!) and when I gave him the lock information he gave a reasonable price range for 8:30 PM on a saturday night. He arrived soon after and picked the lock under the key pad in minutes, charged slightly over top of range quoted by phone but reasonable compared to other quotes i got and speed of service from time of call to arrival. AVOID AVOID AVOID!!! I was scammed out of $500 from Adar, after the site quoted much lower, only for him to tell me "$390 on arrival". I was requested that he pull the emergency lever on my garage door from the front, or access the button, before attempting to drill into the door we are not supposed to use and don't even have a key for. I told him kindly "I'm not paying that much. I have a friend who will come over and do it for $125 right now", in which he defensively stated "NO ONE WILL DO THAT FOR LESS THAN $390 on A WEEKEND!". I should've told him to leave then and there, I even offered him $20 for gas and the inconvenience to try and get him off my property. He stuck around and continued to gas light me. He never attempted garage access, went straight to "trying" to pick the lock, when I told him it was dead bolted the whole time. Huge language barrier. Long story short - he rips open my door with a pry bar and tells me I owe him $700. WHAT?!!!? I SAID absolutely not and I want you off my property. I asked for his BSIS license number, name...he refused. I kindly suggested he do so as it's required by CA law, yet he said "I don't have to tell you that". After refusing to name a boss, or company name he worked for since he was a "contractor", I suggested I call the police. He later told me that I was they jerked for "threatening to call the police ", I said I'm in healthcare and if I was treating one of your family members, wouldn't you wanna know my my name and freely be able to look up my license number? Well turns out he's not licensed based on BSIS website. He quoted me for $700 just for breaking my door. Let me repeat that he broke my door knobs and door, he wanted to replace my locks and I said absolutely not and just to get him off my property and out of there as I became increasingly uncomfortable and feeling unsafe, I told him I'd pay him half cash and half (his request) Cash App after telling him I would not pay the $700 for breaking my door open. I said I'll pay you half, he asked for $350 cash and $150.93 cash app totaling $500. He also informed me that I would receive a receipt after gathering my email. I never received such a receipt and that I texted him requesting for an itemized receipt as well as his license and name what a surprise he never got back to me this person essentially forced me into a corner on my own property and didn't listen to me, nor communicate effectively triggered by the term police. It was quite evident that this person is not licensed as a locksmith and he's not. I will be reporting this to the BBB, and possibly filing a police report. I don't normally write reviews but this one just left me a sour feeling after (my husband also doesn't have a yelp account as we share mine)... My husband lost his wireless key fob in an Uber after getting back to a friend's house after an event. It was already close to midnight. After a few google searches we called this company for some help to get a replacement fob. The operator was really nice, we gave all the information they asked for and told us they would call us back. About 20 minutes later, the operator called us back letting us know the technician would be dispatched to us tomorrow morning at 9 AM. The technician called my husband a little bit before 8 AM letting him know he's on the way. When he got to my husband's car, he does help fairly quickly with getting him the key and programming the fob to his car (which is very much appreciated.) When I got there, the technician was pretty much done with the service. What I didn't appreciate was the way the technician was talking to us. I'm assuming before I got there he told my husband the pricing between on market and off market. He gave us the total and old us what he accepted. My husband politely asks what the prices were again so we could figure out where could pull our payment to him. The technician rudely repeats, "I already told you, aftermarket is $495 & market is $695, plus tax" He was basically said it in a tone to us like we were stupid when it was a simple question to just answer again. We step aside to figure out our things, got it figured out, asks if he accepts apple pay, he does. He asks and pushes for Venmo or Cash App telling us that it would just charge our CC (again in a tone like we don't know how it works). My husband says no to Venmo/Cash App as we RARELY use those apps and we proceed to pay the way we wanted to send payment. I understand it's a Sunday, no one wants to work over a weekend, driving early in the morning from SF to Daly City is not a fun drive a majority of the time, I get it. Just please treat your customers a little better. We are paying for a local service to for help. It was already upsetting we lost the fob, we didn't need to feel anymore worse by being belittled just because we asked to repeat the prices. It was also an emergency for us because we live in Sacramento. We just wanted to get home and we didn't want to burden our friend leaving our car there and possibly risking it get towed away since it was apartment complex parking that she would have to validate. 3 stars for being quick and efficient, and the operators being nice. Price wise, we feel it's a bit overpriced? We've never been in this kind of situation before so, we don't know pricing differences and what not. I do wish they would tell us an approximate amount of what we may be paying for, but then again we should have taken the initiative to ask. We were just desperate. Just the technicians attitude didn't sit right with us which is why we minus 2 stars... Unfortunately my husband didn't catch his name either, ugh. read more

Avoid. Lied about the lock being non standard and difficult, then used bumping to open it in seconds. Over charged, originally quoted 125-150, then increased after looking at the lock with fake justification. read more

Be careful with these guys..pricing is crazy. My partner got the impression from them that it wouldn't be very much. They said it depends on the lock and will have to take a look at it. On arrival he says it's $215... and we go what. Feel like he was scamming us and eventually said he'd take $120 cash after mentioning we wanted to pass. And then he said it's a $75 travel fee which he didn't mention anything about prior. Would have tried to figure something else out had he provided more info. Eventually, we literally only had like $100 cash and he accepted after going back and forth. Overall, understandable that it wouldn't be cheap but the impression given and the lack of communication just gave a negative shady feeling and we def would not use or recommend these guys again. Here is a picture of the $215 lock he opened(which we feel is not complicated at all) so beware of pricing, esp if your lock is more complicated. This is probably as basic as it gets so expect double and or upwards of $250 for anything else. read more
