Stop number 2 on our taco crawl so we gave this place a try. It's really a place you say to…read moreyourself I'm not sure about going in here. But we gave it a try! When walking in it's a pleasent surprise it doesn't look anything like the outside. We sat down at a table we were the only ones inside. Then all of a sudden this guys up there singing as loud as he can on a karaoke machine of course it's in Spanish so who knows what he was singing. So we looked at the menus and I ordered the Al pastor n Carna asada taco. I give the tacos a 6 out of 10 nuthin special but decent. I ordered a cold beer not bad 1.99 plus we ordered a bean tostado. My other half said it was ok nuthin special. Seems like there specials are on Wednesday for tacos. The parking lot is very small so you have to park on the side of the building. I don't understand why you own a business with 5 parking spots and all the employees and owners park in front of the restaurant. You'd think that would be for customers???? Well I gave this place a shot. I doubt I'll be back there's better tacos!!!

So I will give the caveat I give every time I post a taqueria review: I have been to about 20…read moretaquerias in Springdale, so what someone who is going to a taqueria for the first time might think is amazing, I might think of as average. I think the space is really cool. On the outside, Don Tomi looks like a run-down building, but the inside of it is really updated, clean, and hip (is 'hip' is still a hip word?). They have a cantina area that I actually want to go back and try, which hopefully will be a good enough experience to bump up my review a star or two. I've been waffling between giving Don Tomi two or three stars, but I'm going to give them three because I've only been there once and I want to give them the benefit of the doubt. The meat in my tacos was overcooked, and the price was a little bit more than I'm used to paying. Still affordable, but again, more than what I'm used to paying. I want to come back and give Don Tomi another shot because it seems like a place with potential. I just wasn't overwhelmed.

Went here for a team building work lunch. This was my first time dining here and I really liked…read morethe decor and overall ambiance, but it was really busy and fairly loud inside. There were 8 people in our group and they ended up seating us outside which wasn't a problem as it was warm and sunny. Once seated our server took our drink order quickly and followed up shortly with taking an order for appetizers. Which also came out fairly quickly. Our server then took our entree orders. He returned three or four times to replenish/refill drinks for the females in our group but ignored me and the other male in our group, until we asked for a refill. Our entree's took about 20 - 25 minutes to come out and there were several minutes between the first and last to make it to the table. In the business district of the town where most of their lunchtime weekday customers are workers on lunch break they need to be getting the food out the kitchen quicker. As for the food presentation was nice. Everyone's dishes looked really fresh and appetizing. Two of our team had the shrimp taco's and they was so much moisture in them they ended up eating them with a knife and fork. Another two on our team had the Quesabirria. They said it tasted good but had more cheese than Burria. As for my own dish, I had the poblanos with steak, which is three enchiladas covered in a poblano sauce with a side of rice. The portion was a reasonable size but the steak was chewy and while it wasn't bad the poblano sauce just didn't impress me. It was just plain in flavor, with not much poblano flavor. Like I mentioned earlier we were seated outside. I was about two thirds the way through my meal and found a small black hair in the sauce. Where we were sat was pretty breezy so I cannot say if the hair came with my meal or if it was blown onto my food, but it was not the best end to what I would call a lackluster meal.

This was my husband and I first time coming to this restaurant. We both ordered the arrachera as we…read morewere wanting to eat on the healthier side. Ordering skirt steak from any restaurant is hit or miss sometimes but let me tell you both of ours came out amazing! Both of our steaks were perfectly cooked no fat whatsoever on them and they were perfectly seasoned and tender. It was so good! We loved the onions on the side and the beans were very good too. What won our hearts over was the green sauce with avocado chunks in it, it was delicious and such a nice touch. The service was quick and our waiter was friendly. The restaurant was decorated modernly and very clean. We will definitely be returning!
