As far as the chile relleno goes, the salsa was flavorful, but the batter was pretty soggy all around. The rice was flavorful and had a great texture to it, though the frijoles refritos tasted like they were possibly from a can or mass-produced. The beans felt and looked like soup. I also noticed that the shredded cheese placed on top of both the chile y tamale was not melted. When reheated, the cheese held its position. Several birthday parties were being celebrated in the restaurant while we were there, and the staff and owner made sure that the birthday party crowds were celebrated by clapping and singing which was sweet and made the whole place feel festive! I intend to go back and try some other dishes to determine if some authenticity shines through other dishes/plates.

We had reservations for 6 on a Saturday. We were seated quickly and drink orders taken. They have a great Menu of cocktails and beers. The meat did have some gristle and could have been seasoned more. The flan was very good! Everyone else really enjoyed their food. Service was outstanding. We look forward to returning.
