Had heard good things about this establishment so my son and I went. I ordered two street tacos and he ordered a burrito. The street tacos were 5 dollars each and the steak burrito was 17 dollars, the steak portions for each of these were the exact same. The burrito was 80% day old Mexican rice and just some steak. Extremely disappointed. I can't see this place staying in business much longer. read more

We found it on yelp. Followed map and pulled up to little corner old Skool market. Um... walked in & found the corner where the food was. We ordered Sausage sandwich, French fries, fish taco and Shrimp taco, YUMMY! The workers are so nice and friendly! Took time to explain menu and food cooked to order! The food was not that good I guess it's cheaper than most places I got a steak quesadilla it had a small amount of steak and was overloaded with what tasted like cheddar cheese. The steak also was very bland on its own, but it was tender. The Philly cheesesteak was made out of steak ums or something like it. I will say there were a lot of people waiting and only one person running the whole thing, so it's very possible she was overwhelmed. read more

This Place is AMAZING!! You would never find it. Its a hole in the wall. I got the California Burrito that was not on the menu. Cinthia the owner made it. It included french fries, Carne Asada, Avocado salsa, beans and Cheeses. This will be my go to place for Mexican Food. read more

I've some some friends recommend this place inside a mini mart. I came here one weekday after work just to take a look of what they have. I was surprised at what they had to offer; quesadillas, street tacos, burritos, cheesesteaks, burgers, carne asada fries, hot dogs, chicken wings and fingers. I just ordered a hot dog with French fries for my son. I immediately struck up a conversation with the owner, Cynthia and she was just the nicest person. She also makes homemade soups and dessert. It's crazy to see this place since it's in the middle of the store, but there's actually several spaces to sit and plenty of parking. A couple days later I came again and this time ordered a chorizo burrito for my husband and a chicken and cheese quesadilla for myself. They were huge. They were delicious. They were reasonably priced. I'll be making this one of my regulars!! read more

A hidden gem in Chesapeake. Located inside Pete's Food Market. Chef Cynthia is awesome. So far I've tried her burritos, carne asada fries, chicken tortilla soup, tacos, pozole, tres leches cake, and she even catered my wedding with cochinita pibil, chicken Marsala, ceviche, veggies, mashed potatoes, homemade chips, salsas, and rice. I was looking for a good burger one day and went to Yelp and found this Local's Burger right on my neighborhood. I thought it was mum n pops store but there's more to it than that, I told my husband to try this place for a hamburger so we did and boy it was good the picture doesn't do any justice. They cooked it in front of you after you ordered We went to Kelly's@ Greenbrier since opening their patio for dining and was disappointed their burger and fries was cold when they served it to us and I told my husband we're not going back there, sorry Kelly's you're not on my list anymore. This place is probably one of the most amazing places I've ever had a burger. She doesn't take short cuts at all. Located inside of a convenience store called Pete's market. A burger must have 3 things: 1. Fresh beef, never frozen 2. Fresh vegetables in every bite 3. Soft toasted bun This burger was 0 for 3 and was honesty just not very good. Blink and you'll drive right past it. I've driven by the conscience store it's located in so many times until a coworker told me the restaurant was there. I haven't had a meal that I didn't like. Excellent! A friend told me about this place. I visited the store one day after work and next thing I knew i was telling everyone about it. I had the best philly cheesesteak sandwhich I had had in a long time. After the first bite it was like I was in heaven. It was my intention to save some until I got home but it was so hard too, I left only a mere morsel for my friend at home to sample, smh. It was sooo flavorful and juicy. I have been thinking about this spot for the last few days, and now I just ordered this burrito ...it just arrived and my eyes just popped out, it's so huge, I sampled my friends before so I know it's going to be good. Also the lady who's serving me is so nice shes got a great personality and it is great service here. The place is clean, the price is fair and there is oh so many options to choose from! This is a great find inside the convenience store located at the corner of Washington and Waters on the Cedar Road side. The burgers and Mexican food were delicious with generous portion sizes.
