Nice little diner with racing decor to spare. Was able to walk in and grab a table as the place wasn't packed. The lady behind the counter told us to take a seat wherever we'd like and she'd be right over with menus. Upon receiving menus, our drink orders were taken and she gave a little while to look over the menu. After placing our order, our food arrived within 15 minutes. The initial presentation of the food told me everything I needed to know. The food was delicious. Good ol fashioned homemade breakfast that you'd expect from a diner. The prices are reasonable as well.

We received fast and friendly service during our visit, which set the tone right away. The restaurant has a personable, small town cafe vibe which was welcoming. As for the food, the pancakes were pretty decent, the turkey bacon was definitely top tier, and the eggs were quite good as well. The French toast, surprisingly lacked flavor which was a little disappointing. Overall, it was a pleasant experience, and we plan to return to explore more of the menu- especially since we've heard great things about their lunch options.

Homemade burger bun was amazing! Angus beef was excellent! This was my first time eating here and by far the best burger in Hampton roads! A++++

Cool place! Great food. You can tell that everyone there were regulars, the owner and staff knew everyone. They are very celiac friendly too. I'm going back!

I found myself in the Great Bridge section of Chesapeake recently around lunchtime and I decided to stop by Hotrodders Cafe. I'm a creature of habit and when I find something I like, I'll tend to stick with it. The Reuben sandwich here is my favorite and sometimes, not often, but sometimes, I'll make a special trip over here just to satisfy my cravings for this incredible creation. It's plied high with pastrami, grilled to perfection and served piping hot. It was love at first bite for me!

A real family restaurant and sweet waitress. The food was delicious! We ordered the Hamburger Steak and fried green tomatoes. Oh, they were so yummy.

Nathan hotdogs - my son really liked it. Had to add our own condiments

Extremely disappointed, First time and last time trying this restaurant…read more We arrived at 1:17 PM and placed a to-go order. We were not given an estimated wait time. It is now 2:45PM over an hour later and we are still waiting with no updates from staff. I completely understand that lunch rushes happen, but communication is basic customer service. If the kitchen is running this far behind, customers deserve to be told upfront so they can make an informed decision. I was waiting in the car with my toddler, who fell asleep around 1:30 PM while we were still waiting. Sitting in a parking lot for over an hour with no communication is unacceptable. If you value your time, I would not recommend ordering to-go from here. Respect for customers' time clearly isn't a priority. Updated Finally received our food at 3:45 to only be left more disappointed by the portion sizes. Only received one piece of fish for a dinner, yams are not homemade and Mac and cheese was dry. They offered a free drink at 2:40 pm which doesn't nearly compensate for time. They continued to take orders by phone and in person and couldn't handle demand. At a point when your kitchen is over 2 hours behind, you need to push out the orders you already have and turn people away. I would much rather have been turned away and to try them on a different day with a coupon.

The $10 Bypass Salad was underwhelming--mostly shredded lettuce with very little else, and definitely not worth the price. The wings seemed baked instead of fried and were overly drenched in sauce, which took away from the flavor and texture. My burger was decent and probably the highlight of the meal, but the fries fell short and didn't complement it well. Service also seemed a bit off. We shared our disappointment with our waitress, but there wasn't really any acknowledgment or response, which added to the overall experience. Based on this visit, it's hard to justify a return

I've been here twice now, and unfortunately both visits were disappointing in different ways…read more On our first visit, I ordered a hamburger. The patties were noticeably small, and mine was cooked well beyond well-done--dry and crispy. The fries, however, were actually very good, and the service that day was friendly and attentive. Hoping it was just an off day, we came back a second time--but the experience didn't improve. The service felt unfriendly this time around, which immediately changed the atmosphere. We ordered the nachos, and they were overcooked and looked like they were thrown together without much care--definitely not what you'd expect when dining out. We also tried the Easter Egg flight, which was $27. For that price, we expected something a bit more impressive, but the drinks were about the size of shots, had no garnish, and overall just didn't feel worth it. One of them even had a taste similar to cough medicine. We had originally planned to stay for lunch during our second visit, but after what we experienced, we decided we had enough and left. There's definitely potential here, but based on our visits, consistency, food quality, and overall value need improvement.

I got a chance to visit the baseball themed, Studly last week and enjoyed everything there. Although Im a novice when it comes to beers, I do know that local brewery that brews all of their beers on site is quite impressive. Upon sitting at the bar and openly admitting that I no clue what wanted or would like, the owner took his time to ask me questions and give me a lesson on beers and flavors and made some great suggestions. I ended up trying the Nana Ball Hefeweizen. A German style been. Not being a beer drinker, I enjoyed it. The food , ohhh the food. I may not know beer, I do know a good slice when I have one. Didn't try a pizza that I didn't love. My favorite was the 4 corner pan pizzas (that will be added to the menu soon) and the Fig and prosciutto. Must try!! Fresh ingredients, great flavors.

On Wednesdays they have Pub Quiz at 6:30 PM & 7:30 PM and it's free to play the trivia game. Although it was quite loud during the Pub Quiz game, we still enjoyed our dinner catching up with our good friends. It was my first visit to Studly and I've heard good reviews. Studly Brewing is a spacious, family friendly restaurant and brewery that offers a wonderfully casual, bright, and fun vibe with its exciting baseball themed decor that easily brings a smile to everyone's face. The servers were friendly and welcoming. We decided to try the Full Count Nachos from the Spring Menu, and the Figley Field wood-fired pizza looked appetizing. Our food order came out pretty quickly. OH MY! The freshness of the Figley Field pizza and the tasty combination of its ingredients (fig spread topped with bacon crumbles, prosciutto, red onion, goat cheese crumble, and mozzarella on house-made dough where the pizza is finished with fresh arugula on top) made it my new favorite! And I also enjoyed the Hazy IPA that our server Taylor said was her favorite. Looking forward to stopping into Studly Brewing again very soon! I know I'm sure to find a few more new favorites on their menu.

We began with a garden salad, a straightforward but well-executed mix of fresh greens, tomato, cucumber, red onion, and croutons, finished with a balsamic vinaigrette. Crisp, balanced, and properly dressed, it set a solid foundation for the meal. For the main course, we opted for chicken wings and a side of onion rings. The wings arrived piping hot, juicy, and well-prepared. While we ordered them on the spicier side, the heat level was more restrained than expected--flavorful, but lacking the assertive kick that true heat seekers might be looking for. The onion rings, by contrast, delivered exactly as hoped: crisp, golden, and satisfying, with a clean bite and no excess grease. Overall, the experience was an enjoyable one--uncomplicated, well-executed, and comfortable. It's a place we'll gladly return to, especially for a relaxed meal at the bar.
