I had to come visit when I saw them posting on Facebook that they had a great Gluten Free selection. We decided to go on a Saturday afternoon and it was a pleasant experience. I ordered the hamburger steak platter with collards and potato salad, ( I did get the hushpuppies but took that home for my kiddo) I also splurged on the fried pickles. Everything was great! I have been craving fried pickles and they are hard to find gluten free. They had GF cake but I was too full to enjoy a slice. I live nearby and had passed this place a hundred times before deciding to give it a try. To be completely honest, I'd seen this place mentioned in chats identifying MAGA supportive businesses and that certainly gave me pause. BUT unless I see the business pushing their political viewpoints I never know how accurate rumors are plus I like to assess things for myself. Group of 3 came in on a rainy Memorial Day afternoon. We were immediately greeted by a friendly waitress who told us to sit wherever we'd like and she'd be right over. The place was not busy and our waitress was very sweet and efficient. We each ordered a different breakfast item (served all day) and I have to say everything was tasty. Pancakes cooked the way I like with crispy edges. The breakfast potatoes were crispy seasoned cubes but not at all greasy. I love that sourdough bread is an option. Overall, it's a good diner breakfast in a diner environment. We didn't get any dessert but there was a woman there as we were checking out who raved about the cake slices there and told us she comes almost every day for a slice of cake. Nice little diner with racing decor to spare. Was able to walk in and grab a table as the place wasn't packed. The lady behind the counter told us to take a seat wherever we'd like and she'd be right over with menus. Upon receiving menus, our drink orders were taken and she gave a little while to look over the menu. After placing our order, our food arrived within 15 minutes. The initial presentation of the food told me everything I needed to know. The food was delicious. Good ol fashioned homemade breakfast that you'd expect from a diner. We received fast and friendly service during our visit, which set the tone right away. The restaurant has a personable, small town cafe vibe which was welcoming. As for the food, the pancakes were pretty decent, the turkey bacon was definitely top tier, and the eggs were quite good as well. The French toast, surprisingly lacked flavor which was a little disappointing. Been back many times since first. Much better experience. Not smokey either; so wanted to updated the star rating. Sometimes they have really good desserts available. Sometimes they make a bean soup of some kind (can't remember the name, maybe Navy bean?); I'm told is fantastic; and wishes it was available regularly, or at least a certain day of the week. read more

I was on the search for a burger, and happened upon this place. It has a classic diner feel to it and there is a big enough menu to warrant at least a few more visits. There are multiple TVs playing at the same time, all different channels too. I thought that was interesting. There are pictures of cars everywhere and photos of people with their cars on the wall. I really enjoyed the cheeseburger and fries. (they write little messages on top of the buns. I'm just glad the one on mine wasn't rude or anything.) The banana pudding was really good too. The sweet tea was good enough for more than one refill. My server was very nice and seemed to be working hard. The place seemed clean. As it is, they are proudly "women-owned" and I think that's pretty cool. Cars, food, and chicks. Definitely a win-win-win for any dude out there that's into that stuff. Some of the older gentlemen at one of the tables near me tonight were certainly letting their voices be heard and not all of them were nice. So maybe there aren't that many left. One of them decided to go behind the counter and play with the dirty dishes. I'm not exactly sure what his deal was. Only complaints: the bathroom was gender-neutral, which could cause problems and just makes me feel uncomfortable, personally. It's also a one-person deal, which is a double-edged sword at best. And behind a couple of the booths, in the corner of the dining room, there is a play area set up for whom I assume are small children. That could get intrusive and annoying if it's a busy day. It seems really out of place and unnecessary. Especially when there are creepy dolls, Mini-Walmart shopping carts, and a full pretend kitchen set that gives off an "anything you can do, I can do better" vibe. If there are any friendly competitions between the cook and the kids on who can prepare a better meal in the future, I wouldn't be surprised. There are also lots of ads and photos printed onto the tables, which makes it very awkward to eat your food while a bunch of faces are staring back up at you. I just put stuff over the creepy images while I'm there, which is what I recommend if it bothers you as well. However, they did have little packs of marmalade at each table, so I'll be back for sure. read more

I'm a creature of habit and when I find something I like, I'll tend to stick with it. The Reuben sandwich here is my favorite and sometimes, not often, but sometimes, I'll make a special trip over here just to satisfy my cravings for this incredible creation. This is a nice little mom n pop shop. The food is traditional Americana and it's surprisingly affordable. There's great banter between the kitchen and the regulars and when I say regulars I am telling the truth. There a lot of good folks that show up daily. Photos of local antique cars line the walls and you will find some of these cars in the parking lot. It's a great place for friends and family alike to come for a hot meal. read more

Had lunch here with the family. It's a fairly basic diner type restaurant. I definitely think they could clean up the random furniture and clutter and maybe update the decor. Wait staff was attentive and friendly. The food was okay...nothing that I'd hurry back for. The fries, both regular and sweet potato, were great. The burger my son got was rather dry, but the sandwiches and hot dog were good. The macaroni and cheese served should really not be kraft Mac and cheese. That was disappointing. Again, it wasn't a bad experience, but it's not something that I would rave about or make any real effort to return to. read more

I've wanted to try this place for a while, so i dashed it while in the area. The pork chop meal was just ok for me. There were 2 nice size pieces with a side of Mac and Cheese ( not good at all) and beans (they were ok). My son at the 2 Nathan hotdogs with a fruit cup. There were no condiments added or in the bag, but he liked it once we added everything. I'm glad I got a chance to try it. There may be other things on the menu that are a better pick. read more

The chicken César wrap was delicious! The double cheeseburger was ok, the bun was fresh, the tomato had no flavor, the lettuce was fresh and the meat patties were dry. I got the pork chop special with mash and broccoli. They bring you one huge broccoli crown the size of a full head almost. Make this destination a must on your restaurant bucket list.
