I browsed some neat looking skeins of yarn (I did think the price of $15 for enough sock yarn to knit a single adult sock was kinda steep, but the yarn was really pretty and I was in the mindset to spend money) before I noticed a clear cupboard with knitted items and accessories with tags. Since I noticed some were tagged I thought they were all for sale. I opened the doors and started looking through stuff. There was a cool scarf I was hoping to purchase which wasn't tagged, but I didn't realize that initially. I was then approached by two staff members who asked "if they could help me." I asked if anything in the case was for sale. I noticed that they were tense and that the vibes were kind of off, so I said that if they needed me to stop looking through the case I'd step away. They informed me nothing there was for sale and I said okay and stepped away. They told me that there would be items for sale later at a separate event, but I really didn't appreciate the experience as it was. Getting the feeling this place only welcomes a certain type of person and it wasn't me. Which was a bummer, because I was super ready to drop some money. This shop will probably do just fine without my cash but jeez. I don't mind that a shop has rules, but I do think they really could have made a better effort to interact with new customers and make a clearer distinction on which items were for sale and which weren't when I stepped in. The situation could have 100% been avoided and they could have provided a better experience. (Also, if knitted items aren't for sale, why is like 1/4 of the store's displayed items knitted pieces with tags? Super confusing for someone who's been there for the first time, and it's not encouraging to have my first conversation with staff be "those aren't for sale, come back on a weekend." )

The lady didn't seem very friendly. Every time we've ever come in we've picked a table. Well not today as I was sitting my mom down the lady told us she had just sat 2 people there. So she told us to move. She wasn't friendly and just not a friendly environment today. My daughter who never says anything asked if we could leave. Very disappointed in our experience. We decided to pop in and check this place out on a Saturday morning, unknowing what we were getting ourselves into. We just needed to get out of the house. On the left side of the shop is a wall FULL of unfinished ceramics starting at $7 and going up. You choose what you'd like to paint (we went with a few different items) and then you get started! The kid wall is full of little animal statues like penguins, peacocks, elephants, bears. For the adults there's mug, ornaments, plates. You can add on smaller pieces for $1 or decorate a cute ceramic letter. There's so many different selections that you could come back 10 times and still find something new to paint. They have everything you need as far as paints, brushes, smocks, sponges, stamps. Go at your own pace, use whatever design your heart desires and they glaze and fire it for you. Keep in mind, this process takes one week so you can't take it home right away. Plan for one week if you're giving as a gift. As for pricing, you purchase your item for whatever is written on it and then for kiddos it's $5 flat fee, adults is $7 flat fee on top of your piece. My kiddo painted 3 things and it was under $20. You have to do three coatings, and at the end they will glaze your product and you pick it up in two weeks. There is a service fee for the paints. My only con was they were sold out of a lot of products so there weren't a lot to choose from their selection. I picked out a pot for my plants. That was such a great touch. Family is everything! We were given two hearts to paint. I decided on one each, small and large(I would have taken pictures before they went into the kiln, but I'm embarrassed, lol). My boyfriend said, "I'm going to wait outside". The store is filled to the brim with beads. Beads of every size, every color, and every style. I especially liked the Swarovski crystal beads because they were extra sparkly! I think they put these beads near the window to draw people in and I guess it must have worked! The counter in the middle of the store has all of the hooks and clasps you need to make your own jewelry. They also carry a large amount of twine, wire, and any other type of string you could need. The class schedule is impressive. Lots of techniques for lots of applications. Some are solely dedicated to the Swarovski beads! The Framery is quite the gem of downtown Lawrenceburg!…read more I attended a work "fundraising" type of event, with about 20-25 women, and they were able to perfectly accommodate our large group. We were allowed to bring in our own snacks and drinks (wine) and a table was provided for us to set up these items. A few weeks prior to the event, we were instructed to choose our design, size, color/stain palette, etc. (I'm not sure if this is the case for every group who attends an event here) - this made our event flow very nicely! Our signs and stencils were already pre-sorted for us and labeled with our names. We had two young ladies helping us with our projects and they were very patient with the not-so-crafty members of the group. Even as a self-proclaimed "terrible craftsman", my end result turned out perfect! The Framery hosts weekly group events and would make for a fun networking activity or just friends night out.
