Rude, sat there for 5 minutes and no one offered us anything. The man at the bar with one customer, talked his ear off and just ignored us. I have always loved their food but the service tonight was over the top. On a busy friday night at 6:00 I expected a wait. The parking lot is always busy so my husband dropped me off. A waitress approached me and asked me how many were in my party, I told her 2 and asked her how long the wait would be, she replied, not too long as a few tables in her area we're finishing up. I went outside to tell my husband that he should park so we could eat there. When I walk back in the owner approached me and said there were probably three groups ahead of us, of which I knew a couple walked in after me, I told her I had already been in and she said she would keep an eye open for a table. I was approached by yet another waitress, who asked how many in our party and said she would also keep an eye open for a table in her area. We were seated within 10 minutes as well as the other parties that came in at about the same time. The service was fast, food amazing, especially the trio appetizer of salsa, guac and their not to be missed queso with addictive chips. Amazing! I read the reviews and decided to try it. I was blown away. I order a fried catfish taco, a shrimp taco, and a fried grouper taco -- along with a side of Mexi tots. All three tacos were delicious. The fried shrimp taco was my favorite. I'm not sure how to describe what made them all so perfect. It's as if all the parts of the tacos played off each other to create an incredible taste. The slaw, pickles, proteins, sauces all meshed. I was blown away. This was the first place I ate at during a three-week stay in Bowling Green thanks to a recommendation from a friend. I went with the premium combo deal with was two tacos with Mexi-Tots (these are delicious) and a drink for $9. I went for the shrimp and blackened grouper tacos and both were good. They also do a special taco each day. I was there on a Sunday afternoon so it was a little slow and I was served pretty quickly, unless some of the issues others seemed to face. Overall, a great experience and I wish I went here again before my trip ended. read more

Was very conflicted on this review as when I was going here, I was expecting the same menu and atmosphere of the Local Taco in Lexington, KY, which I've now learned they're completely different. Since Lex's Local was one of my favorite restaurants, I had very high hopes for this location. Although it's a totally different company it was still pretty great. The chips came out warm and the salsa was good, although I would recommend larger portions for the salsa, and the queso was good too. Tacos were slightly cold when we got them but they still had a good flavor. Would try again. read more

Great atmosphere. Went with the ladies for dinner. The drinks were really good, they got a jalapeño margarita and the seeds were still in it which made it annoying to have come up the straw and those were kind of expensive at $7. We got the cuatro app, two tacos each, and street corn. We didn't get the cuatro until after our dinner came out. But the chips were great and the queso too. I loved the red and green salsa. Other ladies weren't to wild about them. The guac wasn't mashed at all really. Large chunks of avocado and it tasted more like lime juice than anything. THE TACOS WERE SOOOOO GOOD! I thought they were decently priced at a little over $3 each. Very filling. I only ate one but two was enough for the other girls and we're all decent eaters. The street corn wasn't very good very salty and not very authentic but it wasn't terrible. A bit expensive at $3 a pop to not like it. And two of us have been to Hispanic countries and gotten authentic corn. An okay american take but not what we expected. WOULD DEFINITELY GO AGAIN. read more

This is one of my favorite places to eat in Bowling Green! Everyone that works there is so friendly, and I feel completely comfortable eating by myself at the bar. The bartenders are great as well and I love their grapefruit and spicy margaritas. The Nashville Hot Chicken is probably my favorite, and the Grouper tacos are also yummy. Very tasty and economical! We got the cuatro appetizer and the tomatillo salsa was amazing, my boyfriend loved the queso, the salsa Tojo was good but not outstanding. I got an avocado taco & my boyfriend got the Philly cheesesteak taco & the fried chicken. My avocado taco was really good, with fresh veggies and a delicious sauce. He absolutely loved his cheesesteak taco, he said he would get that next time. He liked the chicken one too but not as much. Since he had a drink we made it a combo & got the street corn on the cob, which was really yummy. Not too much crema and a nice amount of cheese but not too much. We were very full and brought back leftovers. All that for like $25. Staff was very friendly and attentive. Tables well spaced. read more

Came here for brunch. But because it's Cinco de Mayo they aren't serving brunch. Makes no sense, will be going somewhere else for a breakfast burrito. Just tried this place out for the first time last night, and was not disappointed! They had this Philly cheesesteak taco as a special and it was incredible. 24 hours later and I'm still talking about it. This place is good in theory. Take popular food from around the area and turn it into a taco. For example, Nashville hot chicken. The problem is is that they poorly execute it. Tacos are fairly small with way too many toppings on them and really soggy. My wife and I tried 3 different tacos and we're far from impressed. One of the tacos we tried was the Nashville Hot Chicken which is known for setting your mouth on fire. I didn't realize I'd even ate a Nashville Hot Chicken until after I thought about it later because there was no heat to it at all. The food is very overpriced and the portions are small. the place is not very well put together. You don't know if you should sit down, wait to be seated or just walk up to the counter to order. When you're done you don't know if you should take the trash to the trash can or if they'll come take care of it for you. The only plus to this place is that the people are nice and friendly. But that does not make up for the overpriced food that will leave you very unsatisfied. When we left we went to go get something else for dinner, not just because the food was not very good but because we were simply still hungry when we were done. read more

Went there for some take-out and didn't care to much for the food which had a very weird aftertaste, I got just a plain taco combo with mexican rice which smelled awfully strange. The only positives I can think of is their section of many different types of tacos and their prices are okay, but they need to work on the taste of their food if they want to remain open. read more
