This wasn't available but they did their best to provide as much information within their knowledge ahead of time which was appreciated. Simple requests seemed to be met with confusion or indifference, and at no point did anyone step in to provide the level of hospitality that should define a country club environment. The facilities themselves also left much to be desired. Areas that are typically considered showpieces -- such as the dining room, locker rooms, and outdoor spaces -- showed signs of neglect. Tables were not promptly cleared, chairs were left out of place, and overall cleanliness did not reflect the premium status this club claims to uphold. For the cost of membership and the reputation they promote, these oversights are not minor; they are indicators of deeper issues in management and quality control. Dining was equally underwhelming. The menu felt uninspired, and the dishes lacked both presentation and flavor. Even basic items arrived lukewarm or poorly seasoned, which suggests a lack of attention from the culinary team. For a club that should pride itself on offering an elevated dining experience, this was perhaps the most surprising disappointment of the evening. I do believe this property has tremendous potential, but my experience made it clear that significant improvements in service, training, and operational oversight are needed. We had a fantastic time at the bar area with service from Gerardo, another Veronica, David, Ricky and Jennifer all amazing individuals. We have known Gerardo for years and he is an amazing authentic and compassionate man with a gift to serve. I often state that people and relationship far exceed the location or event and here at JW you get the best of both worlds. Wonderful people and a slice of heaven here in Palm Desert. Veronica provided us a lovely view suite with the comforts of home. Marriott offers the best in their JW lineup and we are so pleased with the amenities, choices of dining and options including the spa, fitness center and even a boat ride around the Facilities. The staff truly made our stay 5 plus stars and tomorrow we celebrate my wife's birthday at Mikado another wonderful option at JW Marriott. Being a Bonvouy card holder the point system, features and membership offers are terrific and we utilize them often. Also Michelle is housekeeping was super efficient and very kind. Great lodging, dining, amenities and an amazing array of staff members who welcome and treat you like family. A Starbucks on site, music on Friday's, Saturday's and Sunday's a great breakfast option at Starwood, several bars, multiple pools and water features, shops on site and even a nightclub. No key card is needed, no one is watching the door... anyone can walk in. I definitely noticed a lot of people who seemed to be using the pool that weren't staying at the hotel. Overall, I rather stay at other Marriott properties. The extra money isn't worth staying here.
