Beautiful produce, interesting combinations and all at a reasonable price. Banh Mi, portabella sandwiches and an Indian-spiced chicken dish are a few of their tasty options. I went for the portabella sandwich which was hearty, entirely delicious with its earthy, meaty, juicy flavor that would satiate even the most ravenous carnivore. I loved the tangy goat cheese and the delicately caramelized onions that mingled with those incredibly, drippy onions - yeah, it was messy but who the hell cares with food this good. They sell water and Pallegrino drinks from the truck, but no straws and nothing really comes with the sandwiches. Other than that, no complaints, comrades. Just do me a favor and go getcha some Acacia Cafe.

It's a local gem and, while something of a secret even in NB, those in the know are well aware it is one of the finest spots in this entire area for authentic Mexican street food. I've been visiting El Tarrito's taco truck for years, the quality of food and service has been extremely consistent. I don't recall ever having a bad meal. They have some really good tortas, but mainly I stick to tacos when I come here. Always a good portion of meat, the onion/cilantro relish is never skimpy or messily arranged, and the red salsa they offer is my favorite among the local taco joints. Little tricky to find at first, but during the week the truck is on South Street near the fish houses off of Rt 18, not sure on the exact times but I've gone as late as 230PM and they're still there. 12-2 is a safe bet. On the weekends (not always, but most of the time) they're at Riverside park around mid-day to late afternoon. Really great people, excellent food and service.
