Went after I saw many of my friends post about them. I always get nervous my friends are overselling places, but they honestly may have undersold this one! I got a donut & hot mulled cider, both were amazing!! The woman at the window was friendly! Ill definitely be back to try their cider slushies on a warmer day!

Pros: Amazing donuts 3 styles of cider - traditional, hot, or frozen You can purchase cider to go and the apples they are made from There is always a line, but it moves quickly The customer service is excellent Cons: Parking can be tricky, but not a deal breaker, just be patient. The recognition is very well deserved.
A fun little side quest when in Jamestown. I couldn't eat the donuts (I'm a gluten-free dweeb) but I smelled them HARD & they smelled stellar. My partner said they might be the best donuts he's ever had in his life. So there's that. I did taste the hot apple cider, however, & it truly hit the spot. I had high expectations & they were still exceeded. Windmist Farm is a Jamestown treasure. It's so lovely & well-maintained. Be sure to stop in to the Windmist Farm General Store for more goodies.
Fall is my favorite season, and I love enjoying it with a visit to the Hard Pressed Cider Company in Jamestown, RI, for some hot apple cider donuts. I couldn't resist buying a dozen apple cider donuts, fresh and sprinkled with sugar and cinnamon--absolutely delicious when they're piping hot! They paired perfectly with a refreshing apple cider drink. Customer service was great! And the feeling of fall literally was perfect! The weather was nice and cool in the morning!

Is there a better cider in Rhode Island than Hard Pressed? Probably not! There is definitely not a better cider donut around either! You get the goods right from the farm, cider is fresh and the donuts are warm. You can get you cider hot, cold, or as a slushy. They also have a farm store where you can buy fresh meat and other goodies as well. I could not even imagine a season without making a trip to Hard Pressed. Definitely well worth it!

It can be a little hard to find, but I would recommend putting the address into Google or Apple Maps and following it from there. We parked on the side of the road without any direction on a good location to park. It's a short walk to the trailer that features cupped cider, slushie cider, or even cider by the half gallon. We also got a half a dozen donuts. The donuts were delicious! Very soft and moist and covered in a delicious combination of cinnamon and sugar. The staff was nice and our order was promptly delivered. The farm has a great view and it was nice to be out in nature enjoying the farm! I highly recommend the experience to anyone in the area!

Fresh apple donuts and fresh apple squeezed juice?! Yes please!!! You can watch them freshly pressed the apples for some juice. You can get hot or cold cider. Get the hot one on a fall day... so good. I like it because it wasn't overly sweet like the store bought ones. It's has a good tart to it. The apple cider donuts coated in sugar were delicious too! Especially with the hot cider. They have tables and chairs you can sit and eat. Farm animals everywhere. Have fun animal watching. Enjoy some cider!
BEST spot for Apple cider doughnuts and cider!! Get a cider slushie, hot or chilled cider for sipping and get a few half gallons to go! I buy a couple dozen of the doughnuts, altho best eaten right away while warm, they are still amazing if you microwave them for 10 seconds!! They have a slightly crunchy exterior coated in cinnamon sugar, with a soft interior that just melts in your mouth. The place is located on a side street off a main road, parking on the side of the street, and signs (and aroma) will lead you to the doughnuts! Check out the idyllic landscape while you're there!

My family ventured to Windmist Farm in Jamestown for the second annual pilgrimage to what we deem the best dam cider donuts in the State of Rhode Island. The farm is splendid overall with pastoral views and a relaxed vibe. On-site you can visit the Windmist Farm store or buy art from vendors, but the highlight is a trailer offering excellent cider and donuts. Served fresh and warm these donuts are a delicacy - but the setting transforms them into an experience. Well worth the trek to Jamestown, give them a try!
Just drove out to the new location which is obviously quite the hike from Middletown. Here's the incentive behind the drive: first of all love supporting a small owned business, it's a pretty day and the reward is the delicious warm hard to resist apple cider donuts! We grabbed a dozen! We enjoyed a seat in the shade of their giant tent and gobbled down a fresh donut each then shared a second one! They had corn hole set up and it looked like some other kid friendly activities. Plenty of parking. These donuts freeze well and we love putting them in the oven and lightly toasting them to reheat. Absolutely delicious! We've already returned to get a half dozen and a half gallon to bring home too! The donuts are fluffy and warm with a perfect balance of cinnamon sugar on the outside. We tried a normal cider and the slushie cider; the slushie was better! There was a little bit of a line but it moved quickly. Once we ordered, it only took a few minutes for our order to come out also. It's tucked back by a cute field with some farm animals nearby too! read more

Really closer to a 3. Thought the cider slush was super small and way to icy-Have had others that were way better. Donuts were better than the cider. Come close to closing to avoid the lines. We came at 3:30 and there was plenty of parking and super quiet. read more

Been waiting a year (nearly) to try these guys' cider donuts again and this time we went for a dozen ($14). A little pricey? Yep, but worth it - these are hands-down the best cider donuts around. Crispy outside, tender inside, and when you bite into them warm off the cooker, oh my, that is one blessed bite to behold! The cider is also, as noted in my earlier review, cold, crisp, and refreshing. Don't miss out! They'll be at Windmist Farms till Thanksgiving - and then it'll be a long cold winter until you can bite into these donuts come next fall! read more

Was looking for a place that served apple cider donuts because it's apparently a thing during the autumn months and wanted to see what all the hoopla was all about. This place did not disappoint! After a quick Google search, this was the first place that popped up and decided to check it out after an afternoon of hitting up a couple of farms. From Labor Day until Thanksgiving, this place is located inside Windmist Farm and serve their cider and donuts out of a food truck inside the farm property. Now, as for the donuts...YUM! I'm usually not a fan of the old-fashioned style of donuts but these with the crunchy outside and soft inside worked! I looked over at my husband to see how he liked them as he's not a big sweets guy but could tell he was pleasantly surprised. He said they reminded him of a type of donut from Okinawa (Japan). As for the cider, it was good but we've had better; we just ordered some cider from a local dairy farm we get our milk from and that one tasted better than the one served here. Overall, I'll come back for the donuts. They were damn tasty! read more
This place is so cute! Definitely my favorite place to come for apple cider and donuts. The perfect time to come is a warm autumn day. Their cider mill is located in the back of a farmhouse down a dirt road. Once you get to the mill, you have a scenic view of rolling hills and a town in the distance. The staff is also super friendly and helpful with making decisions of what to order. They serve everything from a truck - they sell individual cider donuts or you can also take some home with you (6 or a dozen)! Their donuts are to die for - so warm and sugary. Their cider pairs perfectly with them. I will definitely be back here and will be bringing more friends with me next time! read more

I am a diabetic and should not be eating your sugar-coated delights. Do you, offer an alternative sweetener for diabetics? A choice of "Splenda" and cinnamon on your doughnuts would be good and perhaps pies made with "Splenda" instead of cane sugar.
