We really don't need a bunch of words. What we need to share here is that Hard Pressed Cider makes the best apple cider donuts on planet earth!!! Not kidding! From that first warm bite with just the right amount of cinnamon sugar and crispness to the tender inside mmmmmmmm! Like that old Lay's potato chip saying....its hard to eat just one!

The line for cider and donuts.

Hard-Pressed Cider hands down has the best cider donuts in New England. Pros: Amazing donuts 3 styles of cider - traditional, hot, or frozen You can purchase cider to go and the apples they are made from There is always a line, but it moves quickly The customer service is excellent Cons: Parking can be tricky, but not a deal breaker, just be patient. The recognition is very well deserved.

Fall is my favorite season, and I love enjoying it with a visit to the Hard Pressed Cider Company in Jamestown, RI, for some hot apple cider donuts. I couldn't resist buying a dozen apple cider donuts, fresh and sprinkled with sugar and cinnamon--absolutely delicious when they're piping hot! They paired perfectly with a refreshing apple cider drink. Customer service was great! And the feeling of fall literally was perfect! The weather was nice and cool in the morning!

A fun little side quest when in Jamestown. I couldn't eat the donuts (I'm a gluten-free dweeb) but I smelled them HARD & they smelled stellar. My partner said they might be the best donuts he's ever had in his life. So there's that. I did taste the hot apple cider, however, & it truly hit the spot. I had high expectations & they were still exceeded. Windmist Farm is a Jamestown treasure. It's so lovely & well-maintained. Be sure to stop in to the Windmist Farm General Store for more goodies.

The very best, period, hot apple cider donuts , Period. It was raining and there was a decent wait outside his food truck but the wait was worth it Awesome hands down the very best hot apple cider donuts ! Make the trip and you'll thank me later!

Is there a better cider in Rhode Island than Hard Pressed? Probably not! There is definitely not a better cider donut around either! You get the goods right from the farm, cider is fresh and the donuts are warm. You can get you cider hot, cold, or as a slushy. They also have a farm store where you can buy fresh meat and other goodies as well. I could not even imagine a season without making a trip to Hard Pressed. Definitely well worth it!

My friend and I had such a great time exploring the Hard-Pressed Cider Farm. It can be a little hard to find, but I would recommend putting the address into Google or Apple Maps and following it from there. We parked on the side of the road without any direction on a good location to park. It's a short walk to the trailer that features cupped cider, slushie cider, or even cider by the half gallon. We also got a half a dozen donuts. The donuts were delicious! Very soft and moist and covered in a delicious combination of cinnamon and sugar. The staff was nice and our order was promptly delivered. The farm has a great view and it was nice to be out in nature enjoying the farm! I highly recommend the experience to anyone in the area!

A must do to ring in the fall!! Located at historic Windmill Hill, the food truck is in a perfect spot on the local farm! They have hot cider, slushies, and don't forget the tasty tasty donuts!! The team was amazing and provided fast and professional service!

Fresh apple donuts and fresh apple squeezed juice?! Yes please!!! You can watch them freshly pressed the apples for some juice. You can get hot or cold cider. Get the hot one on a fall day... so good. I like it because it wasn't overly sweet like the store bought ones. It's has a good tart to it. The apple cider donuts coated in sugar were delicious too! Especially with the hot cider. They have tables and chairs you can sit and eat. Farm animals everywhere. Have fun animal watching. Enjoy some cider!

BEST spot for Apple cider doughnuts and cider!! Get a cider slushie, hot or chilled cider for sipping and get a few half gallons to go! I buy a couple dozen of the doughnuts, altho best eaten right away while warm, they are still amazing if you microwave them for 10 seconds!! They have a slightly crunchy exterior coated in cinnamon sugar, with a soft interior that just melts in your mouth. The place is located on a side street off a main road, parking on the side of the street, and signs (and aroma) will lead you to the doughnuts! Check out the idyllic landscape while you're there!

The donuts are warm and amazing. The hot mulled cider tastes like a perfect fall day. Stop by!

Fabulous freshly made cider donuts, served warm from the onsite food truck. We also had a perfectly made hot mulled cider and a refreshing cider slushie. My family ventured to Windmist Farm in Jamestown for the second annual pilgrimage to what we deem the best dam cider donuts in the State of Rhode Island. The farm is splendid overall with pastoral views and a relaxed vibe. On-site you can visit the Windmist Farm store or buy art from vendors, but the highlight is a trailer offering excellent cider and donuts. Served fresh and warm these donuts are a delicacy - but the setting transforms them into an experience. Well worth the trek to Jamestown, give them a try!

I am a diabetic and should not be eating your sugar-coated delights. Do you, offer an alternative sweetener for diabetics? A choice of "Splenda" and cinnamon on your doughnuts would be good and perhaps pies made with "Splenda" instead of cane sugar.

Hi Jim, at the moment we do not offer any sugar substitute options. We are working in a tight space and don’t have enough room for storage or production of alternatives for dietary restrictions. Some of our customers get the doughnut plain, but the…

I walked in on autopilot and headed left to grab my coffee, only to realize the entire layout had changed. The new bar area is beautiful, inviting and such a great addition to the space. Coffee service has moved to the back and while I was checking out the prepackaged gluten-free muffins in the cooler, I was warmly greeted by the staff. I ordered the Iced Grasshopper with milk and it was delicious. Smooth, refreshing and the perfect summer coffee. Very minty. One of the employees noticed me looking around and took the time to explain all of the renovations, show me the new bar and point out their weekend dinner specials, which can also be ordered for takeout. That personal touch really stood out. If you're stopping in for coffee, don't miss the specials board. The dinner menu looked fantastic and I'll definitely be back to give it a try. It's great to see a local business continue to grow while keeping such friendly, welcoming service.

Ten years is a long time to stay away from a corner table…read more I used to work just down the road from Wild Harvest. Back then, I was there often enough that it became part of my week. You ordered at the counter, found a table, and waited for your name to be called. No table service. No bar. Just good food in a place that felt comfortable the minute you walked in. I left that job ten years ago. Wild Harvest never left East Greenwich. My friend Frank wanted to take me to lunch for my birthday. I knew exactly where I wanted to go. Lauren greeted us at the door. She's been managing the restaurant for a few weeks. I wanted to see how much the place has changed. "Where would you like to sit?" "The corner." A minute later, I was sitting in the same corner where I'd eaten lunch more times than I could count years ago. Wild Harvest still has the log cabin bones that made it stand out when it first opened. Heavy timber walls. Exposed beams overhead. A taxidermy deer wearing red, white, and blue bunting like someone decorated it for the Fourth of July years ago and never got around to taking it down. It still feels warm. Comfortable. Like itself. The changes over the last ten years, though, are hard to miss. What used to be a counter-service café is now a full-service restaurant. There's a real bar. A chalkboard announces dinner from five to eight, seasonal menus that change every week, cocktails, and Friday night flights. The place has grown without losing what made people want to come here in the first place. They don't call it a chicken parm. On the menu it's simply "Parmesan," listed beside the hot meatball as though everyone already knows what it is. The ciabatta is baked in house every day, and it tastes like it. The crust was blistered and lightly floured, toasted enough to push back before giving way to a chewy interior. The provolone had gone beyond melted into something draped over the edge of the cutlet. Underneath, the breading stayed crisp despite a generous layer of sauce. That's usually the first thing a chicken parm gives up. Not this one. The chips deserve a mention, too. They're house-made, fresh-cut, still curled from the fryer, the kind that remind you potato chips are supposed to taste like potatoes. Frank ordered the Mediterranean wrap with Wild Harvest's homemade veggie burger, hummus, romaine, tomato, shredded carrot, cucumber, and tzatziki. His lunch looked responsible. Mine looked like someone having a birthday. Neither of us seemed interested in trading. Frank picked up the check. We thanked Lauren and headed for the door. Ten years is a long time to stay away from a corner table. It's even better when you find out it was worth coming back.

They have a robust line up of sandwiches, salads, coffees and teas - iced or hot, and pastries to select from. The basic egg and cheese (sometimes with an upgrade of spinach & avocado) on an English muffin with an iced coffee is anything but basic: this is the best version of this sandwich I've ever had - IF and when the right person makes it. Generally, Sophie's is 5-stars, but: On our last visit, we overheard the person who was cooking/prepping sandos saying he'd make one more order before he left since he was already late. We were the "lucky" couple he stayed to serve. Translation - both of our orders were messed up. I'd ordered the Gardener, which was delivered without the avocado that is specifically listed on the menu, and which I wanted. My husband ordered the smoked salmon sandwich on an everything bagel, NOT toasted. His order included all of the elements, but the bagel was toasted. He hates warmed cream cheese, but did love the side of pita chips his came with. Still, the iced coffee was as good as usual (even in the off season) and the indoor space remained cozy, with several options for seating (high tops, low tops, and easy chairs). There are a few outdoor tables for when the weather is right. We've sat out there, and the plants around the entry patio really help create some distance from busy route 102 which is right out front of the deep driveway/parking area. Oh, and the bathroom is clean. All this, and Kevin Bacon and Kira Sedgwick ate here a few years back too. Seriously, this place is excellent

Was told this is the norm in the summer and they were closing at 9pm (vs usual 11pm) because of it, which seemed fair. The bartender was very friendly and my hot n dirty vodka martini (olive and banana pepper juice) was delicious and well worth the $12 price tag. I cozied up on a leather chair with my book and enjoyed my time there. A few others trickled in but it stayed quiet. The bar stools were also extremely comfy. Coffeeshop: the next morning (Saturday around 10) I came in with my toddler for coffee and food. She was on a mission and there was lots for her to explore. Wish there was a gate or some sort of deterrant between the main area and the kitchen. I had a specialty coffee (chai, toffee syrup, espresso) and while yummy, a bit pricey. The same goes for my lox bagel (jalapeno). I also don't like that everything is served in disposable cups and plates. Go green! Service was okay - not very personable but I guess being busy can do that. If just reviewing the bar, I'd give full marks but the coffeeshop wasn't quite as a home run. Will absolutely come back, though! Outdoor area seems nice, too.
