The original location has 40 acre orchard, tasting room, production and outside sitting area. Their wide variety of flavors are sure to please all. But that didn't stop them from welcoming people to purchase their wonderful cider in a drive thru format after pre-ordering. There was a Google order form and Black Creek Cidery advertised on their Facebook page. I ordered two four-packs. One four pack of their Orchard Tea and Dry Orchard, and the other four-pack was mixed, including jalapeno, rat bastard and blackcurrent. Pick up was the first Saturday in December for a couple hours. Everything was well marked, and directions were displayed on the Google form, the confirmation that came to my email, as well as a post on Facebook. When I pulled in, I was immediately directed by several groups of people, all wearing masks. They were all exceptionally friendly and jovial. I pulled up to the main area, told them my last name and my four packs were put in my backseat. Bonus, each four pack came with a tote bag, separating the bottles and making sure they didn't bang around, as well as a bottle opener, because you'll need one to open this delicious cider. This is the only cider I'll drink and I'll tell you why. I have tried many ciders because I can't drink beer anymore, and this is now my drink of choice when I am in the presence of people drinking beer and when I don't want to drink hard liquor or hard seltzer. Black Creek's cider doesn't leave you with that weird phlegmy thing happening in your mouth and throat. They aren't too sweet either. They are absolutely perfect. I can't wait to try the other flavors I purchased. This is a family-run business and everyone who I encountered while safely going through the drive thru was delightful. You can get Black Creek Cider at local retailers throughout the year, but they only open up their home once a year. If you want to meet the hardworking people who make this fabulous cider, stop by on that day. If you happen to see this in your liquor store, pick up a bottle, or 6 or 12. You won't be disappointed and you'll be supporting a local, hardworking family business. You can tell everyone is passionate and excited about creating cider and meeting people who enjoy consuming it.

There were two other couples that walked in after my gf, they then sat at each end of the bar to order (there's 3 orders to be taken atp and my gf should be next). The bartender skipped my gf even tho she was there first, waiting right in the middle area of the bar to order (bartender walked each end of the bar and ignore the person in the middle? ) After she took care of the couples, another couple walked in and she immediately took care of them again "u closing ur tap? Let me help u" (while my gf still waits). After everyone got their drinks and walked outside, my gf was able to order the drinks. Idk what was the issue, my gf and I were the only POC there (there is a racist reputation online for the town of Penfield. Look it up) I hate to say that was the reason but idk. I wasn't that hungry so believe it or not. I ordered off of the kids menu! The burgers were huge. They were double patties and I didn't think I needed that. So I ordered the chicken strips/chicken fingers which came with their potato differs, which are like thin potato wedges. You had your choice of sauces so I got barbecue and lime Crema. Both were really good. My wife ordered the pulled pork sandwich and could only eat part of it because it was huge too. It also came with the potato dippers. She liked what she had of it! So there is a farm that is part of Blue Barn Cidery and they just harvest it a whole bunch of blueberries so they are selling blueberry confections in their gift shop. When you first walk in you walk right through the gift shop which sells honey and candles and T-shirts, etc. They have a whole bunch of choices of cider, but I'm more of a beer guy so I got my favorite, which is Other Half Green City IPA. My wife hasn't been drinking, but she absolutely loves root beer and they have Saranac root beer there so she was happy. Their dry ciders are delicious, and they have converted me into a Mead lover! Who knew mead could be dry? Even their sweeter ciders and meads strike the right balance and are not stomach-churning sugar water like most of the other local cideries around. I often go with friends who are beer drinkers and wish they had a few more beer options for them, but their new cocktails have helped round out their offering. The taproom itself could use some updates, but overall, it is clean and inviting. What has left the biggest impression on me is how much the person behind the bar can contribute to the atmosphere. I have been lucky enough on my last few trips to have been waited on by Matt. They have always had good bartenders, but Matt is standout. He is engaging and funny and I constantly have to ask him "What song is this" whenever his playlist is on. Overall, I highly recommend trying Seed + Stone and don't be afraid to try the Mead, it's really quite good!
