The VIEW. (+1 star) County Cider Company's Patio has the BEST view. It is just stunning and dreamy. I can sit in one of the Muskoka Chair and just enjoy a cold cider or 2 for the whole afternoon. The Tasting for $2 includes 4 ciders or 50 cents each. Tasting size is really small and really just for a taste. We ended up trying 5 different ciders: Feral, Blood Orange, Tortured Path, County and Waupoos. Since we were here on a weekday and the tasting room was not busy at all so we got really fast and attentive service. I know I will be back next time when I am in PEC area and just to enjoy the view here or maybe a snack?

We came here on recommendations from someone local to have lunch and to try out some cider. A single taste is $0.50, ice cider taste is $1, and a flight is $2. I thought I would love the fruitier ciders like blood orange and peach, but surprisingly preferred the Waupoos premium cider. It was clean, lightly sweet, and refreshing without having a medicinal taste. For those who like cream soda, you should try the blood orange cider. The wait for a table for 7 was quite long without prior reservations. While waiting, we enjoyed the views and walked through the small vineyard overlooking the lake. Once finally seated, we ordered 4 pizzas and a salad to share. Although smaller in size, the pizzas were loaded with toppings. We enjoyed the goat cheese, pear and chicken pizza. The "Hots for You" with sausage and tomatoes was flavourful. The Fun Guy pizza was loaded with mushrooms, Brie, and was very creamy. Pizzas cost $17.50 each. A star was subtracted for the delay in seating and the hostess staffs' inability to estimate when we would be seated. Otherwise if you're in the area, love cider, and want a pricier place to have decent pizza with a lovely view, you should consider coming here. (79/100)

Great view of vineyard and beach in the background. Friendly service but the pizza was very disappointing. Stromboli frozen pizza is much better. Recommendation to chef: do not bake arugula with pizza. 3 stars for service and ambiance/view and 1 star for food. Cider was decent.

Gift shop and tasting room are a treat

I'm an American, so I can't visit this year, and it's a shame. County Cider has stepped up and become a COVID safe destination for small groups to drink and dine with plenty of space and fresh air. Be sure to check their website (www.countycider.com) for COVID requirements since they want to make sure you and the staff are safe and happy. I love the food, the ciders (Tortured Path and Waupoos Premium). Just a fabulous retreat that I try to take every year.

Pollo pizza was very tasty, the view was amazing. Blood orange cider ia thw best falavor. It took 30 minutes to set a table for us in civic long weekwnd. Overly i like the place.

Food was pretty good. Cider however was super. They have a cider tasting bar while you wait for your table across the road. Peach cider was the best imo. Great outdoor atmosphere, very spacious and clean. Would have given. 5-star if the waitress was more attentive. Felt like being in a cafeteria.

Gorgeous and laid back atmosphere, tasty food.

Tasty food and wonderful outdoor setting overlooking the lake. Service was friendly and laid back. We shared the charcuterie plate which included local cheeses (amazing!), my husband had the lamb burger (perfectly done) & I had the cheese and caramelized onion pizza (fantastic!) along with a couple of their ciders. I read the reviews that state prices were high but disagree - for the fresh ingredients and setting it is reasonable and we will definitely be back. We also took a walk among the vines afterwards. Only disappointment was that they have no coffee on offer - would be good to have for the designated driver.

My husband and I came here four years ago for my birthday and 6 months into us dating. I think we both knew at the time we had met "the one". It was an absolutely perfect weekend and one of our stand out spots was the County Cider Company. I remembered the pizza until this day and the beautiful view. It was also because of this place that we tried really hard to hold our wedding here two years ago. Due to our guest numbers, we were unable to hold our wedding here. Last weekend we came to Prince Edward County with the in laws and our niece and nephew. Of course we wanted to visit this particular spot again and boy, did we and our family fall in love. The pizzas were as delicious as I remember and the view was even better than four years ago. We obviously ordered a bunch of ciders which are delicious and refreshing. We ordered the Cider House Salad, the Fun Guy Pizza, the Pollo Pizza and the Margherita. The Salad was delicious. The Fun Guy and Pollo Pizzas are so so good! And we had them four years ago so for a menu item to last that long, you know it must be good. The Margherita was also very nice. This place is so peaceful, relaxing and has great ciders, pizzas and staff to make this an awesome experience.

But that didn't stop them from welcoming people to purchase their wonderful cider in a drive thru format after pre-ordering. There was a Google order form and Black Creek Cidery advertised on their Facebook page. I ordered two four-packs. One four pack of their Orchard Tea and Dry Orchard, and the other four-pack was mixed, including jalapeno, rat bastard and blackcurrent. Pick up was the first Saturday in December for a couple hours. Everything was well marked, and directions were displayed on the Google form, the confirmation that came to my email, as well as a post on Facebook. When I pulled in, I was immediately directed by several groups of people, all wearing masks. They were all exceptionally friendly and jovial. I pulled up to the main area, told them my last name and my four packs were put in my backseat. Bonus, each four pack came with a tote bag, separating the bottles and making sure they didn't bang around, as well as a bottle opener, because you'll need one to open this delicious cider. This is the only cider I'll drink and I'll tell you why. I have tried many ciders because I can't drink beer anymore, and this is now my drink of choice when I am in the presence of people drinking beer and when I don't want to drink hard liquor or hard seltzer. Black Creek's cider doesn't leave you with that weird phlegmy thing happening in your mouth and throat. They aren't too sweet either. They are absolutely perfect. I can't wait to try the other flavors I purchased. This is a family-run business and everyone who I encountered while safely going through the drive thru was delightful. You can get Black Creek Cider at local retailers throughout the year, but they only open up their home once a year. If you want to meet the hardworking people who make this fabulous cider, stop by on that day. If you happen to see this in your liquor store, pick up a bottle, or 6 or 12. You won't be disappointed and you'll be supporting a local, hardworking family business. You can tell everyone is passionate and excited about creating cider and meeting people who enjoy consuming it.

Their dry ciders are delicious, and they have converted me into a Mead lover! Who knew mead could be dry? Even their sweeter ciders and meads strike the right balance and are not stomach-churning sugar water like most of the other local cideries around. I often go with friends who are beer drinkers and wish they had a few more beer options for them, but their new cocktails have helped round out their offering. The taproom itself could use some updates, but overall, it is clean and inviting. What has left the biggest impression on me is how much the person behind the bar can contribute to the atmosphere. I have been lucky enough on my last few trips to have been waited on by Matt. They have always had good bartenders, but Matt is standout. He is engaging and funny and I constantly have to ask him "What song is this" whenever his playlist is on. Overall, I highly recommend trying Seed + Stone and don't be afraid to try the Mead, it's really quite good!
