They gave me a pretty good deal, if you're a student ask about special rates, and it was about the same rate as I had been paying. Another plus is that they'll let you use your own lock, which I've found to be rare in storage units, and the facilty is very clean, and I found it to be pretty well lit for a storage unit. Yellowbrick is in a narrow alley, and has multiple levels, however that wasn't too big of a hassle. The staff was always super friendly, especially Trevor, who ended up helping us back out of the ally in a big truck and stopped traffic for us too. If you do have a bigger vehicle definitely be aware that there could be some problems. When I was moving out of the storage unit I used their new delivery service. It was $90 but I found it to be worth every penny. They delivered to me on Labor Day, and generally seemed to be working that entire weekend and really flexible. The guys were very friendly, on time, and incredibly helpful. They were so wonderful, especially as I was all by myself trying to move a carload of stuff. If you're looking for storage near Boston, I would say this is a great bet.

I went there on a hot day and the inside was nice and cool. Is the entrance spacious? No, but that didn't stop me from comfortably driving a 10' U-Haul truck right up to the door. And when I had to back out, Tom was great about directing me and stopping the traffic on Harvard Ave. As for the hours, they are clearly stated on the company's website. If you are literate enough to write a review here, then you should have no problem reading the clearly printed hours on the website. Is this place ultra-modern? No. Are the insides of the storage bins well-lit? No. But neither of those things is incredibly important (unless you're planning on illegally living in the storage unit). I've stored stuff at other places such as Brighton Storage and the storage wasn't well-lit there either. I'm not so crazy about the paint flaking off the brick walls, but honestly, there is absolutely no need for there to be paint on the walls. It doesn't protect things any better (although, again, for those planning on illegally trying to live in a storage unit, it might make you feel more at home). The other thing is that after you finish dropping off your stuff, you can go to S&I (probably the greatest Thai restaurant in Boston) on Brighton Ave. and stuff yourself. And then you can grab some brews at the liquor store on the corner. I don't know who the owner is, but as far as I'm concerned, Tom should be getting paid more. Having had a small business in the same vicinity believe me my tendency would be to be as supportive as possible but the treatment I received was inexcusable. 1. I never missed a payment. During Covid, I mailed my monthly payment within days of being due ( even though my own vendors were months behind) and due to the mail service at the time being very slow, I was slapped with a late fee which took some discussion to remove despite the whole world at the time being exempt from late rent and eviction. 2. More recently I went to move items out and had an accident where my face was bleeding profusely-- no one was in the office or reachable by phone ( I sat by my phone with blood all over my clothes , crying and trying to reach a family member. Why the manager did not forward his phone to his cell in this day and age is beyond me and should be a security requirement, but the fact that I later learned it was he walking by me numerous times without an inquiry was unbelievable! The man with him later turned out to be quite kind and got me ice once I figured out that the manager was on the floor. 2. The next time i went to the unit was the 5th of the month and my check had been mailed on Monday the 3rd. I could not get in despite the fact there is a 10 day grace period. The manager told me he could override the controls but only if he were in his office which, based on past behavior, could have trapped me there. I was in the process of getting him a personal cc ( would also need to cancel my check) when he hung up on me-- seriously? 3. I was pretty upset when I called back and mentioned his neglect when I was injured and lack of safety to which he replied " I am not here to serve your beck and call." 4. Also, they don't have the hidden charge of insurance or buying a proprietary lock. The place is clean and easy to use. The only semi-weird thing is that there are load bearing columns in the units that you need to work around for storing your stuff but that's to be expected in a retrofitted old factory building. I believe the space taken up by these columns is not counted in the square footage of the unit so it's no big deal unless you're trying to store some sort of giant item. Anyway, highly recommended!

The building was secure and there were cameras everywhere. Driving around it and parking were easy, and the units are relatively easy to find. The GM, Laura, gave me a tour and helped me pick the right size unit for me (a smaller one). Laura also made sure I had no trouble getting in the building with my personal security code. Signing the agreement was quick and easy and Laura was patient and knowledgeable, answering all my questions. Mike from Big Foot came right out and was really helpful on assessing how much stuff we had and how many containers we would need. He followed up quickly and his pricing was reasonable. Before the moving day, his office called to confirm the date. The day of the move, the crew called when they were on their way and gave an accurate time of when they would be there. The crew was also outstanding. Very professional and careful with our items. They took care when moving the larger items thru doorways and halls to not damage anything. They did an excellent job packing the containers and fit more items into the first container that I expected but did so in a safe way.
