Although my inquiry was about picking out a lock for a metal gate I am building - at first I wanted electronic keypad with multiple codes - he spent considerable amount of time on the phone and via text going through all the options for a tough, strong, robust, reliable WEATHERPROOF (the hardest part) - and how to accommodate it with the details of coordinating it with the gate manufacturer. it ended up not being workable as a long-term robust solution. Then we discussed mechanical locks - in great detail, and trying again to coordinate it with the gate company. This was hard, and entailed a lot of back and forth considering different aspects of the problem and trying to coordinate with the gate company. Finally we settled on a simpler solution.
